Tell me about reno, so super expensive and sometimes you think better to spend $ on the house then the wedding coz house u're going to stay longer than 1 day!!

angeldust.. i think our friends saw the same design.. my friend also asked for pink/ orange roses with yam roses for her decor.. got replaced with champagne roses with purple static.. in the quote, red box is suppose to offer a floral bed for the pulpit area... didnt see it. only saw a tiny little arrangement.. thats a floral bed?

ribbons - ya.. on that point abt change flowers last min happened twice to us lor.. so now i not really give 2 thumbs up to red box. though i know one of the lady boss but really twice was enuff a disappointment for me.

not sure.. when checked with HDB that time.. the officer who attended to us said.. need to ROM first. HA HA HA HA dunno if rules have changed cos i enquired way back in 2003.

yeps.. i saw my own hse hacking myself cos after "Dong Tu" procedures by my mummy, the contractor start the hacking first. but hacking was very fast. within 2 days.. the whole unit look like "war zone" debris all over.. ha ha ha ha ha ha.. my fren lagi funni, she said.. her hse the glass sliding door also 2 bangla carry up to ur 6th floor unit cos cannot fit into the lift.. maybe that's why her glass sliding door is so freaking expensive!!! HA HA HA HA HA

Renovations - ain cheap.. I understand that cos i din take any reno loan.. rather we refused to.. paid everything by cash. that's why drag wedding until now lah!!!

Cos I don't use. I used to use, but whenever pop pimples, I scared and will think it's due to the moisturizer and then stop using. I had used Clinique's moisturizer b4. But now not getting young anymore (23 this year), so am contemplating using moisturizer again.

I'm back from my honeymoon! Wedding on last tue went great except a few hiccups.. guess most of you are now busy tying up the loose ends for the wedding. Try not to fret too much and remember to do moisturizing mask every night. it really helps to be mei mei.. the only hiccup was i cut my finger when trying to open an ampoule in the morning before makeup artist arrive and the bleeding didn't stop for very long.

my jie meis really helped alot which is the reason the day went smoothly. allocate duties to your jie mei and xiong dis as basically, they will be the ones who will run the whole show for you tat day.

as for the oranges, my hubby left it in the car after taking from door opener.

hey angel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dont know that both of us are going thru the same agony...kekekee cos u know right - we also dont want this silly lunch or wedding dinner thinggy one...but u know the folks lar. All of them get so unhappy (for me, my parents feel that their daughter get married like no noise/no celebration. For him, his parents feel that all ang bows they had given in the past to their relatives can never come back liao...) so in end, this thing is done in the expense of us...cos his parents had already state they will not come out anything except to give me si dian jing and my parents also do not have much $$ to give me..so in end everyone will merry in the expense of us. Just hope that all ang bows, both parents will return to us and we will not lugi $$..fingers crossed.

HA HA HA HA HA... ya i had hoped that since we ROM in 2004, we can drag the thing until noone hears of it or interested to know of our wedding dinner. HA HA HA HA around 3rd qtr 05 book the dinner venue for SG first cos we know we can drag further mah.. cos we booked liao dun wanna change so we purposely booked Dec 06 so as to give more time for us to save save. HA HA HA HA HA HA... then later turn of events april 06, MIL change m'sia dinner dates.. big havoc.. long story.. ha ha ha ha ha.. i know take the cash go SUPER LONG LONG honeymoon better.. away from all these.. what's done cannot be undone.

hmm.. teach u trick abt the APs. According to the chinese custom, strictly speaking, the amt of pin jin + tables are closely tied together during discussion. and vice versa If pin jin is a lot, tables shld be less. Traditionally, the groom's family is supposed to pay for everything so therefore the bride's family has a right to ask for no. of tables to "treat" their relatives. And I'm sure u know the table ang pows goes back to ur parents if they asked for it. So since the dinner is now being paid by the both of u, so essentially, the dinner is no longer forked out by the groom's parents liao. So maybe u can nego with ur parents but of cos the pin jin amt must be reasonable enough for them to accept. *winks*.. dun say I teach u one.. HA HA HA HA HA HA...

i also know about this kekekee...so since we coming out the money already told both side parents tat logically both parents should return the money to us...(cos if u look at another way, since we already took the liability of wedding lunch, that means IF lose we will pay, then cannot mean if excess we share with them right??!) no form of betting or investment will be so profitable!! I know i very bad lar....thinking this is a money transaction thinggy...but i believe if lose $$ interms of '000s i am sure no wedding couple wants too......oh i just worry that either parents will siphon our AP lor...soo just hope that all are honest to their own kids

i didn't use much props (in fact, i didn't get to talk to my PG until like the morning of our PS!) most shops would provide props, but may be u can bring your wedding band/ proposal ring box, first present u made for each other or something significant to the both of you?

Your home sounds alot like mine! Also 5 rm resale 7 years & near MRT. But i dun have 2 balconies leh, mine is 119sqm, so slightly smaller. Im staying 3 blocks away from my mum so thats why we chose the place. Also, there's a market opp my flat so can tabao cheap food for dinner everyday.

Wah, home reno is a headache. So many IDs around, quite mind-bloggling to choose a good one.

elven - hur...super painful :s:s now hear already no guts to try liao...yes! finally i receive the sample wedding cards from my wedding venue. This weekend while celebrating FatherDay with FIL can discuss with my in laws to seek their opinion which one to choose.....

By way hor, any suggestions ladies if need to print on seperate paper (as there is a mandarin button on card cannot use direct printing) how to stick on card?? Rather than use glue, double sided tape and use gold string to tie, any other suggestions?

as for ur cards.. if u have the budget, how about getting those kind of studs that pple use for scrap booking to hold the paper together? a friend used it for her card b4 and it looked like something u would see pinned up on a notice board with a pin.. quite nice...
