Hello Girls
Wddg over oredi! 2 major hiccups!
1) The wddg dinner 1st entrance, as we were walking up the stairs to the stage, I tripped on my WG. Luckily didn't bing-bong-biang tumble down the stairs, merely paused and bent down a little to sort out that gargantuan mess of a dress.
2) We didn't rehearse with the emcees (my good friend and her bf) as I was very tired oredi. Still doing some liaising and planning and editing on the night before AD, thus I just emailed them some standard speeches. In the end her bf got Mr LIpstar and my surnames all wrong.
He said MY parents marry off their SON Adrian X and HIS parents marry off their DAUGHTER Keryn Y. Dunno how they got it all wrong, cos all invitation cards got the chinese names, including mr lipstar and my chinese names and surnames and our parents' surnames.
I was like "Sh!t!" I was so worried my Dad will be unhappy...
But we didn't let the emcees know they got it wrong. Don't want them to feel bad.
Now on to happy things.
I love my hotel - MERITUS MANDARIN.
The 1st march in, both Mr Lipstar and I were delightfully surprised. The hotel pp had given the guests along the aisle rose petals, and dunno from where got lots of bubbles and those party popping stuff! After that, I asked Mr Lipstar if those welcoming stuff were his idea. He said no, it was the hotel's idea.
Then my hotel gave
1) free flow of beer
2) 2 nite's stay for us
3) 2 mornings of complimentary American breakfast delivered to our suite
4) 1 nite's stay for helpers
5) $50 of room service voucher. On the 1st nite, we ordered club sandwich oredi $20 -_- .2nd nite ordered the famous chicken rice another $20.
I DON'T MISS the wddg prep at all! But I miss the hotel stay and the room service tremendously.
On the 1st morning, as we were having the brekfast in the luxury of our suite, I was telling Mr Lipstar "Wow, so this is how the rich and famous live." Orchard Rd at our doorsteps, dun need to wash up after eating. Come back from shopping hungry, order room service. Shiok man!
