lipstar, I had been trying the mattres since yesterday...been to the furniture warehouse, taka & the exhibition at Suntec...

Tried Simmons, Slumberland, Dunilipol (something like tat), King Koll, Serta, & Seally
I prefer Serta Night Star Elite...but it cost abt $2.7K.....

Ask U gals,
U all would prefer a platform bed or a "fabric bed" with the mirco fiber material....?

Hi Jes,

I think the pebbles are definitely no no.
We build up our ideas through the ID's recommendation and pictures in the mag now. So more or less decided on the main items. There are still some stuff we would still be deciding on and let the id design for us. Afterall, that's what they are being paid for!

we dont have much time though. Need to get an ID to start work before the 7th lunar month

Hi,

The only reason why i am more for Aranus now is that my colleague's got some minor problems with the carpentry work done by them. They came down and replace the entire work, with no questions asked within a week. I think that's very good after sales service. something that i am quite worried about. So more of looking for ID who would give me the feeling that they would treat me seriously wihtout taking me for granted if i require any after-sales service.

I'm pooped! Shopped and shopped for jewellery and still have no jewellery to show! *gasp* Feet are killing me.

Lipstar : Me haven't gone to test the mattresses leh. So have no idea which would be good for Meraj and I. I just know I don't want soft-soft.

Hazel : I prefer platform. But well, as long as they can provide support for the mattress and Meraj and I, I think we should be alright.

EL: When are you actually planning to have the place renovated and decorated? And move in? Before your AD?

Eh....very scary leh....our FHs yakking away about Liverpool. Going to be like us women...just chat and chat. Hmmm......

Hi Lilic,

Actually I also shortlisted both Divine and Amanda Lee.

In terms of service, I find Amanda Lee quite impeccable. She's too honest I feel. Other designers would say nice things to humour their potential customers and say that everything and anything they like is possible and good on them, but Amanda wouldn't. She told me that I'll need a low-waist bodice for a big skirt. That was the part that made me think twice about taking her bcos my torso is very long and I don't look nice with a long bodice. It was a very nice experience with her tho. She's totally elegant and gentle.

You're right when you said that you feel like you're being rushed off. Helan is abit "too professional" I think. She's nice to every customer such that I don't feel it's personalised. I took up Divine bcos she gave me the impression that I could have any kind of designs I fancy, then it turned out that it's not like that leh ... want this must top up, want that also must top up. Abit disappointed. I just have to tell myself that this is already one of the best boutiques around la, compared to those pushy boutiques, they are quite nice already, so don't complain. Ultimately, what made me take up Divine is their signature design.

I've been to TWP too. Like their service but their gowns are not for me either. They love satin but it looks stiff and unnatural on me.

Are the pple there pushy etc? I heard BS in IMM are taiwanese so not sure izit true. Me planing to check out bridalveil by Michelle huimin or Dang at Amara, or french bridal studio & boutique at TP. heard they are not pushy and designs are great. Will update you gers again.

AD confirmed is 1st Dec, friday. Venue seriously looking at RTP (tentatively booked both ballrooms for 1st Dec ) , just that today gotten to go down and have a look at their two ballrooms (there is wedding there tonite)
and then we meeting RTP guy to neg end of next week

ha gotten to make decision cannot just hold on both ballrooms

cindee> y u hvnt decide on panpac leh? wats the hiccup? jus like to share that among all the 12 hotels i went to see (plus 6 others we eliminate from seeing the package n location), our final 4 were marriott, raffles the plaza, meritus mandarin, n panpac. marriott we like the ballroom n coordinator, but the pkg we feel gave too little perks for us on wkday; meritus pkg very gd, free flow beer! but ballroom got pillar... we had very hard time deciding betw RTP & Panpac (u can ask the gals! i poured all my sorrows on them in the prev postings, but luckily they were kind enuf to give me advice, thnks gals!

)

raffles the plaza pkg super good, cos they give 2005 pkg n got personal concierge, great suite n $180 voucher etc, but we always go there so feel a little sian, plus we din like the menu n coor; in the end we chose panpac cos of better service, newer ballroom wif fresh feel, better menu, tho we got to admit the alcohol is more ex... jus my 2cents worth!

hi purplenic,
i went down to RTP ballrooms just after 6pm to have a look.

i dont think we can take stamford (bigger) ballroom as the min req is 40 tables. actually know be4hand that we can only consider Raffles (smaller)B.
lucky the ceiling quite high still look grand like Stamford B. so today is to confirm whether i ok to the L shape march in and the odd shaped ballroom.
and bec still early can book Canning (the most left of the 3 Raffles B) so guests can walk to the reception area without walking pass the others.
ha i sound like consoling myself.
we really love the bridal suite, large and superior view.

o.. your Solemnisation is at Altivo, nice place with nice view and surrounding .

gals.. seems like david loh is really popular.. i can't have him coz i ll be having a church wedding.. got to have a parish priest and got more headache coz dunno how to plan the AD day, got to book church, florist.. everything will be done on the same day so its going to be super packed and tiring!! wah.. me think about it scared already.. hehe..

no lah....guess too much parental pressure...whenever we gonna sign, hv to negotiate again to put in their requests...in the end, both my bf and i get so tired...sighz...we really liked pan pac loh

now even considering scrapping the dinner altogether. hv a simple church ceremony and reception...then a informal and personal lunch party for close frens at home...at our new house...so will act as house warming too...tt way we can do things our own way...

guess better this wat also...

I just came back from KL. Have been eating alot there. Now I feel that my waistline has expanded. The food there is cheap n nice. Aiyah, I'm going bbk this week. Guess I will have to stop my eating or else I will grow fat.
