Wah!!!!!!!!! So many posts liao..

I went to Daiso @ IMM on yesterday after work; I cannot find any bigger boxes all boxes displayed are too small.

My second source will be Mini-toon, I saw they have a slightly bigger box if really cannot get what I want, then just DIY using those A4 papers box

RSVP very tiring horâ€¦â€¦.. same as you all, if those who give â€˜see how lorâ€™, â€˜I maybe go for tourâ€™, no card will be issued to them.

I do encountered a situation where two of my ex-colleague they told me they really cannot make it, for the first one is because she already confirmed and paid for the tour and the second one her brother married on the same day with me. They both told me although they cannot make it, they ask me to send the card over. In this case, I will separately get a cake for them.

Apple - Spring Court is at Chinatown. Behind Hotel 81. Heard the food is good. But can't say much for the decor. Got big pillar in the restaurant. But not having montage so not a problem for me.

angel, stefy, haha.. no lah, i hvn sent out ALL the cards.. only gave to colleagues cos many of them will be out of office aredi.. frens, i've only SMS-ed to ask if they can attend.. and ya, fall out is quite high cos many pple on holiday..

oh, for the 'see how'. 'maybe go tour'.. wat i did (cos other colleagues got married last yr so i learnt fr them

) was to get another close colleague of mine to go ask these ?? pple.. then they usually will find it easier to decline since they not saying to me directly. 90% of these 'let me check it out 1st' pple came back w a NO when my colleague did the confirmation for me, so that was much easier

thats y also was frustrated when FIL originally din wanna call to confirm attendance.. esp whenhe has 22 tables!! juz his frens n GFIL's EIGHT tables included.. *faints*

Wa seh, it's so amazing to hear of so many happeningz after such a long quiet moment. Luckily, mine went pretty smoothly and I would say Meritus Mandarin is good, esp the banquet manager i/c of our wedding. I only have a little hiccup on the seating arrangement cos I totally forgot to add in one full table of my hubby's friends! And his friends came without seats!!! It was pretty scary cos we already opened our spare tables. Luckily, the banquet mgr was quick & efficient and within 5mins, set up another table! Phew! Can u imagine how embarassing it would have been...

But all is well now, and slowly I'm sinking into the life of a married lady! (still pretty unused of calling my in-laws "mama" & "papa" -- got the tendency of calling auntie & uncle) heehee...

Shall we all meet up soon and share our moments and see our pix??? Not forgeting our manager, Wendy with her adorable boy!

i've also suddenly kena the runny nose n sore throat. been counting down and it's finally nov liao.

one tip from my beautician & mua: no facials or exfoliating masks the day before AD cos skin might be flaky the next day and make up won't sit well.

I bought my box for the red packets at this shop called ABnC at Bugis. And the boxes are rather big. Almost like an A4 sized box and the slit is already cut for you. At 18 bucks. And they've got different sizes. You mite wanna drop by to take alook.

wow..like very happening ahh..keke..very happy that everyone had an enjoyable weddings & honeymoons..indeed it's the beautiful memories of the big day that will leave us thinking abt it even 1 yr down the road..not forgetting the honeymoons..coz no matter whc location u have traveled, honeymoon travel will never be the same..to date, i can still think back of the times & places visited we spent at my honeymoon..haha..ya, married life isnt easy to get used to..do enjoy the "er-ren-shi-jie" now as much as possible..will be very sweet one..hehe..gathering..i m ok for wkends afternoon in dec if i m bringing my boy out..trying to learn how to cope well..lol..

hi panda - oh dear!! hmm.. i have a suggestion, u check with fullerton what are their favours in blue colour? or cream colour or watever colour that suits ur theme? then if can say.. give relatives the fullerton favours & friends the favours u got from BKK? so it wun be odd.

Think cos ur RSVP deadline is very early and u are busy so therefore u feel stress. I was given the advice that the deadline cannot be too early because 1 mth from the wedding people will forget and end up u will have problems chasing for RSVP closer to the wedding date. The reason being in Dec many people also go for holidays and usually sometimes unplanned. So i set my RSVP deadline 2 weeks prior to AD as people are more sure of their schedule by then. Relatives sure will confirmed attendance one. so only doing for friends & colleagues within that 2 weeks.

As for ur parents, i think wedding is supposed to be a happy event, hmm why make parents upset over guests they wanna invite to celebrate ur marriage? I had problems with mummy also but after I had a side talk with mummy over the guest list and understood that all she wanted was for people to bless my wedding, I am grateful for her thoughts and spoke to hubby separately. Hubby okayed to mum's intention to invite a bit more.

angel, my rsvp deadline is not early lar.. first week of dec.. just that i have been contacting the pp now coz i dun want to send invites unless they indicated that they will be coming.. still, guess can expect some to fallout from this batch bah..

i din restrict my parents to the numbers.. in fact i gave them priority coz i can shift my guests to lunch.. problem is that they are pretty concerned abt the numbers so they cutting their list by quite a fair bit.. like by tables lor.. that was why i got chessed off lar.. they said if dun invite so-and-so, cannot invite this circle of frenz too in case so-and-so gets upset.. =(

maez ah, dunno leh.. they (3 of them) cant go for mine coz they said they already rsvp the other one.. but they were nice enough to come for my church.. you email me arh?

oic.. ya parents & relos have politics also lah.. hmmm tell ur mum to invite whomever she wants then split the seating lor. cos her concern seems to be like cannot offedn party A if invite party B and if she invite party B then party A upset???

The most put those so & so ABCD buay gam with so & so DEFG in different tables on different sides of the ballroom so she dun offend either party but yet also both parties are also invited? In any case, even if during the cocktail the guests "see" each other they shld understand the host's difficulties?

My suggestion is to leave it to your parents to make the ultimate decision. Do not get cheesed off with them. Think in their shoes and find a solution that is workable. Ultimately if they decide dun wanan invite party ABCD due to party DEFG then its their final decision afterall.

And if party ABCD finds out later that your parents did not invite them, ask your parents to tell them paiseh & give them a treat after the wedding? party ABCD din make noise then all is well.

Last but not the least, stay out of it all? then give ur parents the deadline to give u their final guest list by XX date. Then if wanna add later then say. After that u calculate the total no. of pax for ur parent's guest list & just tell her the table numbers and location on the banquet map & ask her to arrange herself.

That's what i did with my mum at this moment. I gave her my deadline which is 17th of this mth. She already finished in excel and gave it to me. (my mum knows how to use the computer and type in chinese).

I havn't checked out where to buy roast pig yet.Now I am in a dilemna, cos my FIL dun like the idea of seeing a pig chop into 3 parts and also wonder why must return with pants..so he dun want to give roast pig...

but my parents wanted that cos they say it's a must for cantonese customs..really headache
