they did let us taste one of the wines below $15 but frankly speaking, its abit too difficult to drink liaoz.. veri "rough" wine.. hmm.. i tink the wine cellar gave a quote of one of the cheapest wines.. cz the other cellars that i went, the wines can b at least 20bucks per bottle.. which is over my budget also..

Hi dwarfs, amount of wine depends on the type of guests u invite, as well as the wedding day. If it's Friday & Sat, more likely people will drink more. If it's weekday, less likely. It sometimes also depends on the amount of angpao people give...the more they give, they more they are likely to drink. It also depends on age group and type of people. The middle aged and younger ones drink more wine. The older ones and the younger males may drink more beer.

My FH's sister's wedding was on a Sunday. It was at a 5-star hotel.On the average, 2.5 bottles of red wines were consumed per table. People gave angpao average $80. Quite alot of older generation people (ie. parents' business friends,ex-schoolmates).

My engagement party at fullerton was on a Saturday. Mostly middle aged and young people. On the average, 1.5 bottles of red/white wines were consumed per table. I think that's cos we told people not to bring ang paos. Hope this info helps.

Hi everyone

Yesterday went for a temp sales promoter interview.As the interview was at 10am, so I didn't put on makeup and contact lens and only tie up my hair.

The interviewer after seeing my resume told me that my resume was very impressive but all are working for short terms except hdb for 2 years. All i went back to studies and one of them is a contact job. And I leave my last 4th job cause the head office and working location are too far from my house.

Then there are 2 interviewers, one of the interviewers ( a guy) said your presentation is not good, you should put on makeup and wear contact lens. Their company product is contact lens solution. So I told them I was a bit rush so I didn't put on makeup and contact lens for yesterday.

But I was finding a bit werid, why they are so fussy. It is only a temp job only working for 16 days. And it is quite difficult to sell a local brand contact lens solution.

The other interviewer even worse, even asked me why i tie up my hair. As my friend also went for the interview with me yesterday. And she didn't tie up her hair as she just do rebonding. While my hair is natural curly, if I didn't tie. I will look very messy and my previous company dept manager also asked me to tie up my hair since I am having long hair. And this interviewer asked me to put down my hair. So confusing..... Don't tell me I tie up my hair or put down my hair also needs to ask for ur permission. Ha Ha Ha....

I wondered why they never ask my friend why she never put on makeup? As my friend also never put on makeup yesterday. And the guy interviewer asked me to smile more. He said if I didn't smile, I look very fierce like him. Come on I don't smile at strangers. I only smile at customers only. Cause they are bringing me money.

End of the interview, asked my friend and me to wait for their call at the end of this week.
I wonder they are not sure they will hire us or not, end up complain this complain that . It is so fraustrating and annoying. I wonder since it is a temp job only and why they are so fussy.

Really sick of their questioning especially the part, about my hubby name, his company, his position, his age and nationality.

They are asking this for what, it is not related to my job interview. And I am the one applying for this position not my hubby ler.

Later going for chamelon sales girl interview, wonder will i meet this type of stupid interviewers again. So demoralised and angry now.....

Hi Nami,

For the preparations, most things remaining are dinner related stuff. Things completed are photoshoot, getting rings and engraving them, contacting frens to help for dinner, start preparation of photo montage (anyone need help for this?), choosing of march-in music, collection of invitation cards etc etc etc...

We've just gone to the printer's and will be waiting to see the artwork before starting to print inserts. We'll then slowly write in names on inserts and tie them to the cards so that they can be ready to be sent out by lunar 8th month

As for wine and booking of solemniser, FH will be handling those. I'm still waiting for BS to let me scan in photoshoot photos so that I can complete my photo montage. All other dinner stuff like colour of tableclothes, flowers etc will be chosen at a slightly later date.

We haven't booked our honeymoon yet as the prices for Nov 2006 are not out yet, but we are expecting to book it by Aug 2006

Hahaha..... I'm not that organised. I just made a list of things to do (modified from some checklists from bridal magazines) and try to check them off. This list changes quite frequently, so we add in things as we go along.

For me, the main thing is to clear whatever is within your control first. Things like invite list or seating arrangements will go on all the way to the dinner night itself...... so.... clear whatever u can now

u may 1 2 go Old People's Park complex (the 1 tat juz renovated, next to OG people's park).I always go there with my colleagues during lunch, the boss's name Angie.She sell tiara and all sorts of accessories..but dunno if u like them or not.Her shop is at the 3rd level,next to the escalator.
Her shop is a bit messy and does not have cabinets.Will try to find the name of the shop.
