Missed all of you! I have been very busy at recently, so did not log in for more than 2 weeks, i think. OMGosh! all of you are speed writers? I speed-read also cant finish everything... decided to just jut my butt in wherever you are now... hahaha

Anyway, thank you for all the encouragement. My ah lao and I are pretty quiet about the wedding at the moment.

He is now mulling over GHA and Johore BS. But he did mention that it is still highly possible that he will continue with GHA. But I am still glad I did what I did. I showed him the difference between mag style and the plain one-pic-per-page kind (using my cousin's albums).

He likes the mag style, but not willing to part with the extra $2k for the extra pics. Hence, he is now mulling it through. As for me, now that we are not talking about the wedding, I am feeling more relaxed.

But sooner or later, we still need to come to a decision. Cos my 1st appt is a week or two after CNY. So it will mean that he has to confirm his decision before CNY, so that we can source for the suitable Johore BS.

Before I forgot, hi to all the new faces... Think there is quite a few hor *look high and low*

I am not very noisy recently, cos really very busy at work. Thank God that Christmas is here, and there will be 2 long weekends in a row.

Sisters, do hang in there when you feel frustrated and tired from all the nerves and planning. And do remember that you are not the only one. We are all in the same boat. *wink*

I tink its better for u to attend the solemnisation in your gown lor..so that u won't have to change your gown again lor..But wearing of teadress is also good in the sense that u can have a change of outfit lor..

I haven't bought the desk yet. I went to Ikea two weeks ago to buy stuff for the kitchen, things like plates and such but I will need to go back there again for the desk and other things though I will probably do this when Ah Boy gets here.

He's arriving next Wednesday ... so excited! Lol.

We haven't decided yet though we've narrowed our choices: Raffles Hotel (they have a Swedish chef so perhaps we could have Swedish dishes too), Equinox for the view or Gallery Hotel (Ah Boy stayed here the first time he came to Singapore - got memories! Hehehe).

Yes, I'm having my solemnisation done at my new place on 14th.

Frais, changing venue again? Wah... How abt tung lok restaurants like noble house? At least food shd be quite good i would think. Club chinois also has very interesting ambience and is suitable for smaller weddings i think. I mean the restaurant itself rather than the hotel's ballroom

Hi frais.. u can try Traders hotel. there is a smaller ballroom (long aisle) for min 15 tables. i have their pkg with me which they sent me 2 months ago when we were sourcing for venue. let me know if u need.
Hmmmm...as for restaurants, personally i tried noble house before (but that was like 5-6yrs ago..

), good food.. becoz part of tung lok group mah.. or Boon lay raja restaurant.. (this one no ambience). Actually depends which one weigh more to u, food or ambience lor....

must beware of reno firms. they tend to delay their promised completion date. like my ID. jus delayed by 1 more week a second time. so to be really safe, so that ur house b ready before ur AD, make sure u schedule ur completion date one month before ur latest completion. get wat i mean? i had this experience for my house, dun wan same thing to happen to others. thank god i m not in a rush.

Hi Ladies

Ting > Pictures are very well taken... now it is just the price of the pix, very steep. Got to see if my BS is willing to give a good price on it. Have to get my hubby to negotiate with them.

Phy > Yah, but now I change my mind. I dun want to waste money to MTM another one more evening gown to keep. Also dunno when I will get another opportunity to wear it. May as well ask my hubby to buy jewellery for me to wear.

Pictures are ready and we have seen it, basically the PG is very skillful and the pics are well taken. But my BS is charging us very ex for the pics. Got to see how, if not I will just stick to watever I am entitled to in my pkg - 26 pics.

Memories > I have yet to choose my pictures. Think we will do it only when we finish our indoor pics. Its quite fun taking pic in other countries but also very troublesome especially when you have to bring the gowns personally to the country.

Thanks, silentelf, CSI, tulipz and count.....for all ur suggessie.....now i really headache on finding the correct venue....me n bf haven't calculate budget yet n haven't talk to FFIL yet....how to see wht type of venue we looking for?? but i really love ACM....too bad he say it's a bit costly after including everything....hmm....maybe club chinois will be good....

anyway, putting all my wedding stuff aside first....christmas is coming!!! Ho ho ho.....merry merry christmas!!! enjoy the big succulent turkey that's stuffed with nice spices, with some medium bodied red wine that comes with a little oak n fruity flavour....hmmmm....then comes the nice pudding that covers with melting icing.....finally the christmas log cake...oh....goodness gracious me.....*salivating*

Funnily though there's "Court's Vacation", my work load is up to my neck!! Grrr....I can't seem to be able to finish up my work (wait...that's everyday also cannot finish my work....Bleh). Everyone seems to be going on leave but me...

No worries, just came back from manicure and pedicure and have made an appointment to finally go do something with my medusa-like hair. About time too since my shoot is next month. Wondering whether I want to spend the extra bucks highlighting my hair....Hmmmm....Choices and decisions......

Lipstar, don't know yet when to get the rings. Meraj is still undecided and we're not looking forward to braving the Christmas crowd - it's like a war out there at the malls(!)

I'm sorry to hear that you're still at work. Grit your teeth and work harder in the week even if it means OT. I too rather work OT workweek and just take off Saturdays.

Viv: Ritz: My niece used them, she doenst think they r v gd. One of her gowns didnt turn out well. She's a model so if the gown didnt turn out well cant be bec of the bride.

K: V nice but q ex. Abt $3800 for WG and EG, but think it is MTM. I like their style havent checked them out though.

AL: is buy off the rack one. They r q nice but depending on shipments, some gowns not out standing but others r, actually Allure caters more for larger gals though shld have small size too

TY: Is vv ex. Heard more ex then Ted Wu

YC: I heard the service not v gd.

That's what I heard lah...go shop around. V fun. Today i went with my sis to 2 shops to shop for her gowns. Actually what type of gowns u looking for? Any budget? Easier 2 streamline after u settle of these 2 issues.

hi viv,

its good to know the design of the card ur hotel is giving. However if u go to most wedding card printers most likley they oredi hv the exact card with them. Just let them know which hotel/ restn u are with.

u dun need to bring ur wordings too. They will have a recommended wording for u. All u need to do is change date, name etc. Then u need to decide print insert or on the card directly . The card printers will guide u along so dun worry.
