I guess for some of us its a lot of spending suddenly at one go... for me it is, cuz house, wedding, reno all in same few months.. so the shock of the bills wil definately HIT us bad..
I just hope I will manage our funds rite and delay whichever purchase that can be delayed..
hope we will not quarrel on such things like Finance... u n FH too.. we r just starting a new phase of our lives - kampatei! (jia you!)

200 people is ok. not too many. Per table cost less than 1000? (if you include the renting, deco, and other stuff) should be able to recover at least 75% of the cost. But it still depends who you are inviting. I have no control over my PIL. but have request them not to invite children. couples only. As for my side, I will invite people who are know me and hubby and good friends. Do so budgeting? At least you know how much you have to set aside. A lot of things you are not sure, write them down. You will have clearer pictures of the things you want. Rather than think about it.

Everything in S'pore is so expensive, one simple wedding will cost at least $10K. a simple renovation and furnishing another $25K, sometimes it can be quite depressing. Between couple, $$ issue must be tackled and compromise at times. I also hv a very tight budget. So it's like prioritising the important one to buy/do first and postpone some later. Start small first.
Wedding Banquet if i can breakeven i'm more than happy but expecting maybe ard $2-3K loss as we are bearing the whole banquet cost by ourselves, no F&B sponsorship. and yes, must control myself not to top-up too much for PS. *grin*
and of cos, chatting in this forum so that we know where we can find gd deals and bargains

Other than flowers, you can actually decor with other stuff. Like balloons, ribbons.

I dun blame her.. 1st few times she hurt me, I closed 2 eyes cos I noe this her pattern, she’s brought up to be selfish by her family.. but how many times can u tahan this kinda hurt? no matter how angry I am at her I will never lash out at her cos I noe it hurts, but she never think that way… to be fair, she’s oso very good to me when that abnormal streak din surface.. just that im tired liao..it takes 2 hand to clap n maintain a frenship, not me giving in to her everytime…

yep, agree to build the home by ourselves, have great sense of satisfaction ... that's why I am so excited over my new place until can't zz at nite
Currently I am staying in Yishun, new place at Sembawang .... ya loh, Singapore is so small, no prob to go anywhere lah .... we can meet, la-kopi, share our excitment & maybe gossip a bit .... hhhhahahaaha

say easy, do it difficult... my brother, my hubby and myself tried painting my parent's place before... can die ah... hahaha...
we thought before doing the painting ourselves to save $$ but in the end, give up on the idea like... too physically demanding...
i prefer to contribute in other details like coming up with the designs for our house, taking care of every detail, like the positioning of lighting, color combination...

I also dont have bridal car provided in my package. Good ideal to rent a london cab. But is that spacious enough? i think of using 7 sitter car but worry that it is too high for brides to clim up leh. but it will be spacious if you close up the last row and push the chair backwards. Seems like renting a bridal is very ex leh and exclude deco somemore. Any ideal can those rented car drive in to JB? Need to pay extra for drive, petrol etc?
