Sarcastic reply from JP

Hi all! I'm a 2017 March bride and new to this forum. Recently I have been trying to find a JP.
Haven't had any luck so far, but this JP really put me off with his email reply to me.

"Congratulations to you and you fiancé on the decision to marry.

Marriage Solemnisers are unlike restaurants. We do not commit our dates which are more than 3 months away as ROM’s allows an application for marriage only within 3 months from the date of solemnisation. As such, please revert after mid Dec. "

After reading threads which suggest brides to find they JP more than 3 months early, I decided to email some JPs. To my horror, some of the replies are very nasty.

The search is disheartening.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi rauchgall! Which date are you getting married? I'm on the 18th! Did it take you lots of tries to get a JP? Honestly, I'm having second thoughts of having my ROM outside the ministry. The search for a JP seems endless.

Heya! Don't be too disheartened! Happened to us too! We wrote to almost 16 JP I think before 1 finally agreed! Even then, he only sign the form 3 months before the wedding.

Hi girl, my AD on 5 Mar! I was pretty lucky though.. the JP agreed immediately to my invite.
