So, it goes without saying that on a day where your devices are likely to be even more heavily used than usual, power banks are absolutely essential.

Since you won’t be the only one using their smartphones often on your wedding day, you might want to bring extras in case your bridal party or any one of your guests require one. You might also want to consider bringing along chargers that can be plugged into wall sockets for faster charging, multiple device charging or charging of bigger devices such as tablets or speakers.

2. Cash for tipping

Even though most places have gone cashless and you’ve made payments to your vendors before your wedding day, it is always good to have some cash on hand in case of unexpected expenses, or if you decide to tip the waitstaff or any of your vendors at the end of the day. The last thing you’d want is to be in a situation where you need cash but can’t get it easily, so be prepared and bring some cash along on the day of.

However, don’t let the magic of outdoor weddings fool you into thinking that no additional preparation is needed for the magic to be felt by you and your guests.

Outdoor weddings are often at the mercy of the weather, and regardless of rain or shine, you’ll have to make adequate preparations to combat the current weather so you and your guests are comfortable. Gift your guests with USB-powered fans and provide some form of shelter like compact umbrellas to help them combat the sunny and humid weather. The umbrellas will also come in handy in case of wet weather, but it is better to have a Plan B that involves moving your ceremony and guests to a sheltered venue.

Don’t forget to prepare insect and mosquito repellent sprays too! Outdoor weddings in the middle of plenty of greenery is bound to attract these nasties, and with some individuals more prone to being bitten by them, it will good to offer your guests some form of protection as they witness your union.

4. Kids chaperone

Unless you’re having an adults-only celebration, some of your guests might attend your wedding with their child or children in tow. Since weddings are typically long events that young children are not interested in, they might get bored and restless, affecting both their and their parents’ experience at the celebration.

Show your sincerity in wanting every single one of your guests, even the very young ones, to enjoy the celebration to its fullest by having a dedicated kids chaperone watch over and entertain the children. This way, both the children and their parents are able to enjoy themselves fully in an environment that is right for them without being too far away from one another.

Unless you’re planning on wearing a pair of sneakers or flats for your wedding day, you should pack a pair of shoes you know you’ll feel comfortable in along for your big day. Regardless of whether you’ve bought a pair of shoes with the softest leather or you’ve spent many days and nights walking around in them at home to break them in and give the new leather a good stretch, your feet will definitely appreciate some reprieve from the discomfort and soreness from being in a new or unfamiliar pair of shoes for long hours, especially if you are planning on wearing high heeled shoes that you don’t wear often.

6. Medicine and first-aid kit

A medicine and first-aid kit is an essential yet often overlooked item at a wedding. Weddings are highly emotional and long, and all the joy and smiles on that day will not be enough to keep health issues such as headaches or digestive issues from sneaking up on you amidst the flurry of activities.

Pack a bag or a first-aid kit filled with essential medicine for common ailments such as headaches, flu and sore throat, as well as some band-aids in case someone develops a blister or suffers a cut, so you’ll be able to sufficiently treat any unforeseen minor medical ailments or injuries without having to disrupt your celebration too much.

Between the tears of joy and beads of perspiration, or your own facial oils breaking through your foundation, you’ll be glad you remembered to pack a small bag of basic makeup items when you need to touch up your makeup during the wedding. Most makeup artists also don’t stay through the entire wedding celebration, so it is always better to have your own bag of emergency makeup items such as concealer, powder, lipstick and so on. Don’t forget about your groom too! Make sure to include grooming items that he might need to freshen his look up mid-way, such as hair products, deodorant or perfume.

8. Snacks and water

Your wedding day is going to be a long one, for you and your groom, your bridal party, your photographer and videographer, and possibly even your makeup artist, especially if she is going to be with you the entire day. The last thing you want is for anyone in this essential group of people, especially yourself and your groom, to be hangry and cranky on such a happy day. So, pack lots of easy-to-eat snacks and water to keep everyone properly fed and hydrated throughout the celebration.

If you’re having a particularly early morning, you can also show your appreciation by ordering breakfast and drinks for your wedding party, so everyone can have a good start and get ready to tackle the events of the day.

Remember to pack your toiletries if you prefer to use your own, sleepwear, an extra set of clothes for the day after, and any additional items that you might need after the night is over or for the next day.

10. Extra bag/luggage for gifts

If you’re expecting some of your guests to gift your presents for the wedding, or if you need to some of the props back after the wedding, do bring along an extra bag or luggage to carry them back after the celebration is over. Even if you are not expecting these scenarios to play out, it’s always good to have an extra bag or sufficient spare space in your overnight bag to house any unexpected gifts or items you might receive or need to take home.
