A Modern Aviation Romance Wedding Styled Shoot at Hangar66 with Lily & Co and Aurelia Ng
Modern, elegant, romantic and dramatic all at the same time, this lovely styled shoot sporting the Pantone Colour of the Year is bound to inspire your wedding shoot and colour palette.
Styled wedding shoots have become an essential part of modern wedding planning, offering couples with a creative and visually stunning way to tell and capture their love stories in the a way that most represents their person or their wildest dreams. For the couples who are bound by their common love for wanderlust, this modern aviation themed wedding styled shoot featuring Aurelia Ng, by Lily & Co. and their team of creatives is just the inspiration they need for their latest styled wedding shoot.
Located at Seletar Aerospace, the modern aviation styled wedding shoot Lily & Co dreamed up took placed at Hangar66, a one-of-a-kind space that offered the perfect chic and industrial vibe that would provide the perfect contrast to the softer elements they had planned for the shoot. In this styled wedding shoot, modern inspiration meets a fresh romantic twist, creating a dynamic yet elegant ambience that captivates.
“We wanted to create something dramatic while still retaining that familiar wedding elegance and romance we all swoon for,” Lily & Co says. “So, we pieced together various different elements that may not seem to complement each other in our styling, from industrial textures, soft colour tones and clean visual lines. Yet these came together and worked perfectly to showcase modern bridal looks, elegant flowers and contemporary details.”
The concept of the styled shoot centers around the theme of freedom – freedom to be different, to showcase individual personalities and the freedom to design a wedding that is uniquely yours. The vast open space at Hangar66 served as the perfect venue for the team, giving them the freedom to conceptualise and style two different complementary looks at different locations, bringing their vision of a modern yet classically romantic wedding shoot to life.
To achieve the play on the contrast between modern and romantic, Lily & co used a soft colour palette of neutral shades of Sand, Blush and Cream, anchored by Peach Fuzz, the Pantone Colour of the Year, as a contrast to the grey concrete and white industrial walls of the hangar.
“For the first set, we styled the open roof terrace for a modern celebration with a touch of playfulness,” Lily & Co describes. “The set features large balloon pillars sporting soft, neutral colours of sand, blush, cream and Peach Fuzz, the Pantone Colour of the Year. The velvety, soft peach tone of Peach Fuzz offered the perfect balance between the brighter and more pastel shades of peach, evoking a pleasant and gentle mood.”
“The second set was styled outside the hangar with a fixed wing single-engine aircraft as the backdrop,” the team shares. “Blooms in similar neutral shades of sand, blush and cream were used to put together a contemporary floral arrangement on acrylic transparent pedestals that provided the perfect soft, romantic touch to the otherwise industrial and contemporary backdrop of the hangar. This was the vision that we had in our minds when we planned the shoot – a modernised look that is different and romantic, with a cohesive colour palette and elegant florals.”
This styled shoot showcases how blending unconventional elements can lead to a stunning and unique wedding design, offering inspiration for couples to freely express their individuality on their special day.
