Hi all,

Just thought we’d share our experience with Yvonne Creative (YC). Initially, we had signed up with them at the BOWS fair after checking out several studios due to their reasonable pricing and we quite liked the dresses in their inventory; the shoots they had also looked really professional.

After the first meeting with Yvonne and Fiona, where they had taken our measurements and the designs we had shown them, we went for our first fitting session to try on the made-to-measure dress.

The dress was not what we had expected. It didn’t look like what we had presented at all and we felt as if our worst fears were being realized. We felt quite disappointed but despite this, we just smiled and nodded politely because we felt awkward about telling them that we really didn’t like it.

Not quite sure what to do, I typed a long text a few nights later to Yvonne explaining that we would like to change the dress as it just wasn’t what we had in mind. Little did we know that she had already started making a new dress for us already! Somehow, she had sensed that we were not comfortable with the first dress and had already started creating a new one from scratch for us.

Not only did her gesture touch us, the dress was simply breath taking on my bride-to-be, who honestly looked like a goddess in the dress (if I do say so myself). We both really liked it and the dress wasn’t even fully completed yet.

We then went on to choose the remaining 4-5 dresses for the pre-wedding shoot from the fairly large inventory of dresses in the three-storey building. Fiona was extremely helpful and patient with us, taking numerous dresses on and off the rack, helping my fiancée with her dress and then asking her to try another few more. I felt exhausted looking at her while I sat there “grading” the dresses, the usual torture most other grooms are subjected to (I’m kidding, it was actually quite fun to see my fiancée model so many dresses for me).

The subsequent fittings, the bridal car decorations, the suits, the flowers etc were all up to our expectations. It was a pleasure to work with them. Even the uncle who touched up our photos took extra time and effort to show us how he did it and did a marvelous job on the album. We actually learnt a thing or two from him about photo-shop (which was used mainly on me).

Overall, it was a good experience we had with them, with the exception of the initial jitters at the start. Ultimately though, honest communication with them yielded generally positive results. They genuinely understand that it’s every couple’s one special day and they went out of their way to make sure we were happy with the final product, which we were appreciative of.

Hope you guys find as much satisfaction with the studio as we did.

Cheers.

Tried out Yvonne photography for my wedding. Had a very bad experience with this company. Very uncoordinated. Sales and coordinator do not coordinate with each other and this is poor managment on tbeir part.

My photographer did not come for actual day photography. Instead he asked another photographer to come. I was totally caught off guard. The photographer even forgot the procedure for customary photo taking. My hubby and I had to back track and redo certain motion. Some photos were not focused and lighting was not well adjusted wheb she took some of our photos. At the end of the whole event, we went over to the company to request for after service. The lady boss Yvonne refused to talk to us to mediate. Instead she called on her daughter to settle with us. We told her that we got a new photographer and to our surprise, they dun even know this photographer existed.

Girls there are many other good companies out there.

you only took their photography ah? or the whole bridal package....

Hi all, I just had my wedding dinner on 10th Jan 2015 and would like to share my honest feedback about Yvonne Creative.

My hubby to be and I only started looking for a bridal studio package end Oct 2014 and with only less than 3 months to prepare, we had very low expectations on how much can be delivered. We had initially just planned for a package that would provide the gowns and a few hours of actual day photography. We checked out several bridal studios with the aim of finding one that we could connect with and felt comfortable with.

Being a excited bride to be, I was definitely interested in the pretty gowns whereas hubby to be was very practical and looking at what the studio could deliver. I had gone to a designer gown studio and was totally smitten by their designs. However we were uncomfortable with the fact that we had to arrange everything from make up to flowers to photography on our own.

We are indeed blessed that Tiffany from YC attended to us. When we first stepped into the shop, she immediately asked if I wanted to try some gowns. She picked out a beautiful A line gown which complimented me so well. When we went back again after I got smitten by gowns from the other shops, Tiffany did not put down any other bridal studios, but instead attentively asked me what did I like about those gowns. She then got Yvonne to personally sit down with me and discussed the add ons I would like on the gown to make it uniquely mine. I was really impressed with their service, attentiveness and their willingness to accommodate my requests. Tiffany also assured us that if we wanted, they could deliver the prewedding shoot album for us so we could display it on the actual day. We were shocked as we did not think it would actually be possible given the short time line.

After some discussion, we decided to sign up with YC. Tiffany then came up with a time line detailing the gowns selection dates, photoshoot dates, final fitting dates which gave us lots of confidence that they would be able to deliver what they promised.

During the gown selection date, Tiffany skillfully picked out many beautiful gowns for me to try. Though I took a long time to decide, she kept her patience and smile throughout. She was even accommodating enough to suggest that she would provide a short dress for the photoshoot and a different colored evening gown so that the photos will have a nice contrast. Hubby to be, my mother, my friend and myself are so impressed with her customer centric service.

The photoshoot was done by Rick, and my make up artist was Shuli. Rick created a very fun and lighthearted atmosphere for the photos to turn out really natural. Even though we were physically tired after a long day of shoot, Rick made the whole experience a very memorable and wonderful one. He went all the way to ensure the photos were well taken and he put himself in many awkward and dangerous positions just to capture the moment. Shuli had many great ideas and created 6 different hairdos for me to match each dress. She took into account my preference of type of make up and would patiently explain why certain make up would not be suitable for me.

Micheal who did the photo album layout and editing is the most patient and committed man ever. Hubby to be and myself spent new years eve at YC and we were there till 1st Jan 2015!!We effectively celebrated our countdown in YC! Micheal sat at his computer the whole time seriously editing the photos even though we kept asking him to take a break or to eat something. Needless to say the album turned out amazing. When I called back 2 days later to request some minor changes, Micheal still patiently acceded to my requests.

The actual day photography was also done by the amazing Rick, who captured many beautiful moment. I am definitely looking forward to his masterpiece.

Cheryl, one of the coordinators who helped us when Tiffany was not around was also very cheerful and would go out of her way to ensure that we are happy. From choosing the hand bouquet, to packing the gowns and choosing of accessories for hubby to be.

I wanted to share my experience with all in the forum because I experienced how stressful and scary it is to be looking for a bridal studio, especially within 3 months! YC definitely took alot of stress away from us by going out of their way to make the whole process enjoyable even. From my experience, YC definitely has a great team. They might not have as glamorous a shop space or deco as some of the bigger studios or even a huge huge selection of gowns, but their warmth and sincerity made it a wonderful experience for me and hubby to be.

A very heartfelt and sincere thank you to all of them at YC!

Hi!

I just signed the bridal package @vivocity the wedding show with them yesterday! I notice the earlier threads there's good and bad reviews.
Now, i'm having mixed feelings now after seeing these.
Any recommendations i need to look out for when I go have a look at the bridal shop itself?

Hi,

Having largely bad reviews, would you still think they are still worth taking? I just took up their package yesterday but I'm kinda getting worried after seeing quite a sum of amount of bad reviews here. :(

Appreciate for your honest reviews and feedback to help!

Thanks!

Hi all BTB,

My wedding date is in December 2014, and I am already having bad experience with Yvonne Creative. During the signing of package, it was Yvonne who personally sold the package to me, together with another staff.

Yvonne had shown me whatsaps messages she has with other BTB, giving a false impression that she will be personally involved in my wedding coordination. However I was assigned a coordinator (Fiona). Fiona tries to help me with gown selection, however either the existing gowns are limited or her resources are limited. I tried to speak to Yvonne when I saw her, but was kinda given a cold shoulder. She does not look as helpful as when she tried to sell me the package.

Yvonne had also assured me that there will be dresses available for both mothers and my sisters even after I told her that we are all plus-sized. However selection for mothers is limited. And in the weddings that I attended, the sisters usually were the similar dresses well-coordinated. However the dresses offered to my sisters are actually old wedding gowns! which definitely do not look like sisters' dress. But my mothers and sisters are nice enough to accept anyway since I have already taken the package.

Service from Fiona is lukewarm. She seems like a difficult person to ‘click’ with. There is low rapport that is typical of a cheeful and helpful wedding coordinator, and she does not seem to be willing to go extra mile. I asked about makeup artist and photographer, she simply said they will call me personally. I feel so stranded and helpless at times.

Overall, my impression is not good and they are the most crucial in the wedding planning. I can’t help but compare to the great photoshoot experience at Taiwan. I only hope things will turn up well…. Sigh…

Post-wedding review:
Wedding Coordinator (Fiona)

Her efforts in making sure things go smoothly is commendable. It helps that she is good with her hands and was able to help me make last minute changes such as adjusting my dress length. She took care of everything before she went on her holidays. Thanks!

MUA (Denise)
She is a gem! Very patient, friendly and understanding, and more importantly, she was able to adapt to changes on actual day, and still able to do wonders for me.

Photographer (Peter)
He went beyond the role of a photographer, in fact he is our walking encyclopedia of Chinese customs, helping us along with 'to-do's and 'not-to-do's. I guess because he came all the way from Malaysia, and our wedding banquet is lunch, it was non-stop work for him. At the end, can see his exhausted face and needs a bit of prompting to take certain photos. Nevertheless, very appreciative of him.

Overall
Gown and suit selection is very limited as compared to our Taiwan photoshoot, but the experience leading to actual day gets better after the initial gown selection stage.

Hi Brides-to-be,

I just signed up a package with YC. For the benefit of those who have mixed feelings about signing them on, I thought that I'll share with you my journey and experience throughout it all.

It's been 2+ weeks since I signed the package with them. They are quick to follow up before the package was signed, which was great. Unfortunately, I have not heard from them after I paid the deposit. I even gave them a call to let them know of my concerns of their disappearance and they promised to call me back. I have not received a call.....

Will keep you updated of further developments. This though, is unnerving as I was hoping for a seamless, worry free, one stop service.

Best,
TW

That was one of the problem which I encounter during my earlier stage as they have a handful of couples on hand. But after they assign me my coordinator, everything was smooth sailing. When is your wedding date by the way?

I took up the package last year but we are only getting married in March 16. Will be able to give my review only next year. Hopefully mine will be as positive as yours =)

Hehe, my colleague who took up the package with them actually told me their gowns are REALLY GORGEOUS. She just recently went to YC to choose her ROM gown and was shown to the pretty AD gowns by their helpful staff. She also mentioned that the staff was friendly and patient. *thumbs up so far*

Hello!! Im interested in their bridal package so i wanna learn more about their services. My colleague went down a few days ago and she said the service was really good.
Are you appointed to a coordinator yet? or you able to choose the same coordinator as yr fren? or is random?

Hey ladies! I agree with naiyoucreamy! Denise is really nice and very friendly and professional! The gowns collections (the newer ones) were my top pick! So far the experience i had with them is really awesome!(went down to check out the gowns and suits already) :) Can't review the full service because my wedding is next year 2016 ;p

Thanks Naiyou and Eileen! My friend's sisters also signed up with them and her coordinator was Cheryl, mua was Denise. She said their service is really good. She said Cheryl was able to tell what kind of gowns she likes and suits her best after awhile of discussion, even if the bride picks sth that doesnt suit her she will let her try so she will uds why. They said Denise is very patient and very good with her hands with hair and make up and was able to do what the bride want. Actually I don't have a wedding date yet but packages increase every year So I hope to be able to settle asap. Hope u ladies could help me out too!!!

Hi JellyFeet!

Yes, the packages will increase every year! I suggest you join them during their wedding fair because they can work a better package during the event itself! I took up their package during the fair too and managed to see their fashion show that day itself (it's really pretty) :)
Will keep you posted more details after my fittings and etc... :)

oh btw, don't read too much on the bad reviews cause it's all based on individual! (i'm not paid for this) so just take it easy and be comfortable with any bridal selection before you commit! :)
(I was freaking out because of the bad reviews here and i already signed with them earlier on, i feel it's not fair to just judge via reviews and believe if you are not nasty customer, shouldn't be a problem to enjoy the process) *my personal thoughts*
