Harlow gals!
I'm back as an ex-bride! Don't have time to catch up with all the postings here... so just a quick "report" of what I've been doing. Just got back from my HM last night. Was in Tasmania for a short 6 day trip...weather was cold but I like cold weather! Tassie is beautiful! Just yesterday I was on top of a cliff looking out into the beautiful sea...and now I'm back at work already. Trying to "readjust"...

Oh yah and of cos I had my wedding. It went great...though it was raining on the customary day. The banquet went well too. Kinda miss every bit of it all now... Everything went by in a flash! Will be viewing my AD pics tonight. Hope they'll turn out well!

Can totally feel how excited u are! What's left undone? Maybe u list here & we (josl & myself) can remind u if u forgot anything..

How abt the APs for the helpers? I left tt till last min, just can't find the time to go to the bank to withdraw the $$$. Try to use "Xi" AP packets, instead of the usual "Fu" or "Chun" k? Kinda weird to use those..

So did YC say when u can pick up ur album? Prob shd be at Final fitting or when u pick up the wedding attire rite? I think I'm more gan jiong than u!

Hi mehmeh dear!
Yah it was a nice change going overseas during a non-peak period! It was so peaceful and the best part was we had no problems finding accomodation. Think we'd have been in deep trouble if this is peak season cos we didn't plan for anything. We practically flew out of the house after dropping everything at home to catch the plane. Was quite fun also cos we just decide where to go along the way. If only we had more time. 6 days is definitely not enough to cover Tassie. Ah well, we did have wonderful memories... Will upload the pics after i download them!

Hi clouds!
Don't worry lah, u still have time. We did so many things in the few days before the wedding. In the end it turned out well. No regrets... It's important to have competant friends who can run the show on the wedding day and night. I'm really thankful for my helpers who really did everything for us so nicely! It helps that they've had their weddings already so they knew exactly what to look out for also... So just enjoy all the preps and of cos the all important day!

I think it's so romantic to just drop & go.. Even though it seems so unplanned, it's quite exhilerating! Hahha, even though I'm not the one involved, but can sense how thrilling the whole experience is & then finally be "wow-ed" by Tasmania's beauty.. How much did u 2 spend for the HM?

hope u r better liao. I used to get rashes frequently too.. doc say i allergy to dirt, dust and sweat! Ask me try to avoid.. aiyo... how to avoid such things in Singapore??? Anyway, i'll just pop an antihistamine when i get it. It helps and hv not been getting it for a while back till recently.. dunno why.

Pass baton? I can only update when i'm free like now leh... clearing my annual lv now.. hehe..

heyhey Glady's!

Checked out oredi! I think 001 has the prettiest skirt, with all the intricate details of appliques. Hmm, but I find the bodice rather harsh with the straight cut across.. But cld be due to its pure white fabric & the hard fabric used

Actually the bodice can have the scalloped edges made with organza.. Cheery had tried on a OTR WG in YC with a beautiful scalloped edged bodice.. So dreamy! cheery: U've still got pix on it?? U removed the fitting pix fr ur multiply hor?

I like 005's back.. The ruched fabric really does add texture to the back. Considering most of the time as u walk down the aisle, ur back wld be more seen by ur guests.. And u can have either pearl or fabric buttons there too.. So pretty!

Thanks for the comments! I love just the skirt for 001! And if YC has a gown with scalloped bodice, think i can give it a try too! I love dreamy gowns, just worried that with a scalloped bodice and skirt, will it look too overwhelming??
I dun hv church wedding, but my hotel's ballroom has a long aisle, so i'm thinking of having a not too long train.. maybe i can bustled it up after the march-in?

Oh dun think it will look too much, so long the scalloped bodice isn't done too heavily. But with organza, shdn't be too much a worry.. Just wonder if YC still has the OTR gown available for u to try or make reference to. Otherwise u gotta ask Cheery for a pix of it & show Yvonne..

Dun have too long a train, coz it will surely overwhelm u.. Make it a chapel train, like those u posted on Multiply.. After the march-in, u wld generally be seated, so need not worry abt the train actually.
Def can bustle up if u want a long train, otherwise, there can be a hotel staff to assist u with it. I had one who came fwd on her own, or by instruction of the captain during the banquet..

He also challenged me to venture into gd places overseas! Oh man..

Of coz this can be done if ur aisle isn't too long.. Think the only ppl who wld be concerned with the march-in & the song is u. Even if the song repeats coz it isn't too long, ur guests wldn't have noticed.. heehee

Best bet is to ask ur hotel coordinator what's the recommended length of a song to last for both situations & search for the right one. Also double-check if they do take MP3 formats or burnt WAV formats, my hotel strongly encouraged originals only..

Can't help u very much with the APs.. U've been a jie-mei/ah yee before? Think back on how much u received then work ard ur budget. Dun forget to factor in AP for the gate-crashing if u're having tt..
Prob can work based on how much they have to assist/ run ard for u 2 on the AD? My dinner coordinator, cum bridal car driver was given the biggest AP. 1 of my bridesmaid who also doubled up as my emcee was also given a bigger AP.

I know josl gave quite a huge amt.. No hard & fast rule I guess, dun burst the budget!
