My thumb nail has been chipped off. Therefore I trim it. Now it's quite short. My wedding is 1mth later. Can anyone advise tip extension nails better or gel nail. Will it look fake?

I suppose every individual's nails can vary from one another so rather than giving you a sure-sure-confirm answer, I'll just share my experience with you. Due to habit as well as the nature of my work, I never really kept long nails - I would habitually trim them every week (every fortnight at most if I got busy/lazy hehe). And mind you, when I trim them, I trim them really short - I've yet to come across anyone who trim their nails shorter than mine, hehe.. The only times I kept my nails "long" was for my prewedding photoshoot as well as my AD.. I told my gown designer that I'm a noob at keeping long nails much less manicures and he suggested I try keeping my nails for at least 2 months before my first manicure appointment. During my first manicure, the manicurist still had to trim my nails a little shorter first.. Judging from this and getting feedback from the manicurist, she suggested that for my AD, I can try keeping my nails for 1 month instead before my 2nd manicure session before my AD.. So yeah, similar to your situation, the last time I trimmed my nails before my AD was 1 month beforehand and the length of my nails turned out just right when I went in for my 2nd manicure session. As you can predict, I didn't have to use any tip extension but on both occasions, I did have the gel treatment just so to make the manicure last longer especially since I was such a noob at it - didn't want to risk chipping off the nail paint when I "mindlessly" use my hands hehe... All in all, it turned out well for me. Hopefully, the rate of growth of your nails will be just nice too so you can avoid having to use tip extensions...
Don't get too stressed ya? Hopefully by your AD, it's long enough for French manicure.. I did French too for my prewedding photoshoot but opted for nude pink with glitter for a more shimmery natural look on my AD..
My nails are always not strong so I always keep it short. U can do the acrylic nail extension which will look natural and choose a simple nail art eg French nail with 3D flowers like what I did
They will look beautiful! But If u don't like elaborate nail art then I think ur nail shld be long enough for gel French too everyone will look at your gown more so do simple nail art or manicure to match ur gown will do and I always love French it's simple and elegance and can match all gowns
