hi poox

welcome back! you're a bv bride too ya? how about sharing your experience and tips? may i view your pictures when they're ready? mine's this oct and i'm just starting to feel the heat of the preparations
happy.gif

for those who are considering the fullerton, my experience is that they will stick firmly to the minimum number of tables. my previous coordinator, thomas who has since left, said it may be possible if we're like 1 or 2 tables short of the minimum but not more. mine will be on a sat nite, package is the mid-priced one (998) for sat nites and i topped up a bit for cakes to be given as favours. i will be also having a tea reception in the afternoon. but even with all that, there's not much room for bargaining. BUT if you ladies do get a good bargain, please let me know

hope this helps

Congrats! How's your honeymoon?

Hi all,
I went down Fullerton today to settle the deposits and was told by my coordinator that they are changing their decoration theme next year to improve themselves but not sure what kind of theme.....Saw the wedding set up is real nice, but today I saw are with ivory flowers with gold candles, but i realise that the white rose petals on the cocktail area like too little and does not really stand out... anyone tried pink rose petals before?

Hi Pheb....how much u need to top up for the cakes to be given as favours? Are the cakes normal fruit cake?

Hi Poox.. Congrats and welcome to the 'our hotel' club

Annie, treasure the food tasting.. cos you won't get to eat much during the actual day ;)

Sharlene, for my wedding, they used red rose petals. Actually i didn't know that they were going to do that so it was a pleasant surprise. Red looked really nice.

Hi Sharlene

The miniature cakes are supposed to be 12+++ each, we topped up 8+++ pax. the 12+++ cakes are marzipan covered fruit cakes. I asked for brownie and that shouldn't be a problem, i think. anyhow, there's some confusion over the cakes as my previous coordinator left before we firmed up everything.

Matka,
U reequested for the red rose theme?

Hi Pheb,
Oh...their cake very expensive... So u requested for brownie also same price?

I intend to exchange the wedding favour for another barrel of beer..

Hi Matka,
Long since we last chat.. hows everything, marriage life.. btw did u top up for the deco for the ballroom? I like Eulee's photography style.. any comments??

Hi Pheb,
Any idea if wedding cakes can be served during the wedding?

pheb

hi wendy

yes...we ventured there too...thot of having two desserts-the traditional dessert and the cake but we decided against it cos it would be money wasted if guests didn't stay for dessert...think it will cost about 6+++ more pax to serve the cake

Morning girls

Sharlene, no we didn't.. actually we only decided on the theme for the interior of the ballroom. So we really didn't expect it when they dressed up the cocktail area with the red rose petals too. Red worked pretty well tho.

Wendy, hihi. Are you back in Singapore yet? Married life is fun but with a lot more housework! heheh. We didn't top up for the deco in the ballroom. Initially we wanted to add floating balloons throughout the ballroom - but it would have been a logistical nightmare. So we scrapped the idea. Anyways, we wouldn't want to have ballooons popping in the middle of dinner. The ballroom deco that comes with the package is sufficient mainly also because the floral centrepiece remains throughout the dinner since you will be served individually. In most other hotels, the centrepiece is taken away because the food would be left there.

We really liked Eu Lee's photos... that's why we took his package. And they turned out quite nicely. He's also very easy-going and his rates were more than reasonable. You have his contact already, right?

Matka,
What theme did you chose for the ballroom? That day I went, i even smell the frangance of aroma theraphy fragrace at the cocktail reception area, wonder is that provided by Fullerton too?

Like you, I also thought about the balloon also, not sure if its suitable.

Hi Hi Ladies,

Long time no see! have finally decided on Ted Wu & Photolanguage... quite a painful process to choose from all the options, but am relieved it's at least settled now...

Btw, quite a few pple are asking me what's the colour-theme of my wedding! I don't have any special preference
embarrassed.gif
Does anyone remember what are the colour themes we can choose from at Fullerton?

sharlene

Hi Jam,
I heard from Garey that they are flexible in color theme, only the candles have 2 color scheme only, flowers can liaise with the florist.

But Garey was telling me that they are changing their ballroom decorating theme to improve themself.

Postpet.
The wedding favors still remains the same. And had confirmed with my coordinator that they are not changing any design for their cards. I thought their invitation cards are very nice and sweet? One is peach champange roses, and the other is white and silver card. Its so much nicer that other similar grade hotels that I had seen, my personal opinions.

Hi Matka,

Could you advise the contact for Eu Lee. Am having headache sourcing for my AD photographer.

If its' not convenient to post here, can e-mail to: [email protected]

Can share some pix of your wdg by Eu Lee?

Hi Sharlene
We chose the gold and champagne colour theme for our table settings. Champagne roses and lilies with a candle for the table centrepiece.

I never noticed the fragrance at the reception.. hehe.. Actually I waited till pretty late to confirm the colours I wanted. Don't you think deciding what colours suddenly becomes a chore? *grin*

Hi Dhoby,
Eu Lee's website is www._hotographybyeulee.com. Hope this helps!

You have to change the underscore "_" to a "p" to make photography. I don't know why his URL can't seem to be listed on this forum.

hi all Fullerton brides,
need your help again....
just wondering whether you invited ur gown designer and MUA to the dinner? and I suppose we have to cater seats at the dinner for the photographers and videographers as well?
also, do we need to give ang bao to the Fullerton coordinator and waiters / waitresses after the dinner?

thanks very much!

Hi KeRo
can try Allure Charix :p, they've got pretty nice dresses.

jam
it's really up to you.
for photographers and videographers, it's better to check with them if they need a seat.

dhoby

So any of you ladies planning to go for the bridal show in Aug?

Will we still be entitled to their new wdg favor if already signed up?

kero

Hmm..not sure either...probably I can check it out when I meet up with my coordinator over the weekend.

Poox: Thanks! But where's allure C? How much are the dresses?

Kero,

Allure C is along Amoy St. You can go take a look.
Besides evening dresses, they have wedding dresses for sale too.All dresses are for sale...
Not very ex. Rather elaborate type too. Think you may like it...

Sharelene : We do need to buy tickets for the show. Had asked my co-ordinator liao.

hi poox,
thanks! was wondering abt the ang bao to waiters / waitresses cos' i was helping out at friend's wedding in HK, the tradition there is that the coordinator from the restaurant / hotel would request for a BIG ang bao from the couple on the night itself immediatley aft wedding dinner.... so not sure if Singapore also has this "custom"
embarrassed.gif

kero,
Allure C sells OTR gowns. think it's about $500. nice gowns, but they only have 3 sizes for each gown design. depending on how elaborate you want your ROM gown to be, if you want a simple once, can also try Olive Suite at Delfi?

kero

Member
Thanks Jam,

I went to Olive Suite last week and tried their dress. Like it a lot but feel that it's a little ex for a short dress without any beading or embroidery...thinking of find a tailor to do the same at a cheaper price though...

violyn

New Member
Hi KeRo,

Whats Olive Suite's Pricing like for a short dress? Their cutting is not bad, from what i saw on the mags.

kero

Member
Hi Vio,

the bustier short dress (raw silk) which I tried is $370. If mtm, it's 10% more than then listed price. If you wish to add the flowers, it's additional charge but it will come with a sash.

jam

dear kero,
wow, that's quite ex. was also thinking of getting my bride's maid's dresses from Olive Suite, cos i think their dresses really sweet. and it's the kind that my bride's maids can still wear on other occasions...sigh, maybe I should find a tailor too...

btw, you can also try Empire (subsidiary of Wedding Present). heard that Irene's Creation has good sales for their gowns towards end of the year too...or have you tried asking Blush Blush to do one for you? when is your ROM date anyway?

kero

Member
yeah...what's more, my FH said that i look more like a bridesmaid than the bride wearing that dress ....hee...

I've seen Empire and Irene's creation but dun find any suitable one....Blush Blush is also charging about $500 for a tea dress and $800 for EG...

I'm getting ROM at the end of the year...so probably a few more months to explore though...anyone tried Ted collection? I've seen his work and kinda like his gowns esp CS....he did a design for me on the spot which I kinda like but it's also around $700+ because it's long gown...

kero

Hi,

The bridal show is in Aug and the ticket would cost about $20+ per couple. Details are not out yet....

Let's keep each other informed if we got hold of the details, ok?

Hi,

Does anyone know when should we be paying the 2nd deposit of $2,800? Is it 6 months before the banquet? Will your co-ordinator call you for the payment?

jam

New Member
Hi Elenne,
I thought it's half a year before AD too!
If nobody called you for second payment, when did you start calling them to arrange for the food tasting or to discuss abt the deco, cards, wedding favours, etc?

elenne

New Member
jam: officially there is a 2nd payment, but my coordinator sort of hinted if nobody calls, just dun ask abt it. they didn't bother me at all. I called my coordinator about 2 mths before the wedding to arrange for a date for food tasting & collection of invitation cards.

fong2

Hi

Can anyone advise me on the deposit amt to be paid to Fullerton? And is it a 1 time payment or staggered payment? Thks.

jam

New Member
fong2,
there's supposed to be a 2nd payment of $2800 i think. but based on what elenne said, the 2nd deposit may not be necessary

We paid our second deposit, but our coordinator told us that prior that it's ok if the hotel doesn't remind us to. Perhaps we hit the auditing period? hehe.

elenne

fong2: my wedding over already.we didn't pay anything more til the day we checked out! that's how good it is! we could actually consolidate the ang pao $ for the bill!
