St Anne's Brides


hi yvonne, are u gettin married at st.anne's as well?

do we approach the secretary for details /choir/florists etc only after we have done the inquiry with the priest?
 
my wedding in on Sep 19, is it too late to meet up with the secretary in July? our priest is only available late June to do the pre-nuptial..
 
yes i have secured the date. Josephine called me a couple of wks back to ask if i was coming down and better to come down after the pre-nup with priest. did u guys all do it after the pre-nup? or can i just hand the form (pre-nup) to her another time.
 
ohh... are u meeting Josephine for paying deposit, settle the choir thingy?

hmm.. for me, if i didn't rem wrongly, we submitted the pre-nup ( need time for approval coz my hubby is non-catholic) then we did the admin stuff with josephine.
 
hi eudora, yes i just called josephine to go down on sunday to get details frm her regarding the payment etc.

pre-nup will be done together with ur celebrant right? then u pass it to the church secretary?

my case is slightly diff cos i'm not getting the parish priest, getting fr richards frm holy cross

rem to bring you EE or MPC cert. when you go see her also, she might need to mk a copy

Hi Anita, I thought the st anne church secretary will let you know the choir which is available on ur wedding day? hmm... for me, she told me it's R0sa ( dunno from which choir) and I contacted her

I've just done my wedding on 30 June at St Anne's my celebrant is Father Anthony Ho and i will say he's very good. He's very humorous and makes the whole ceremony very lively.

My sister's celebrant when she got married at St Anne's was Father Richard Ambros. I would say he's more straight and stern. The whole ceremony was kinda tense.

And Father Ho told my photographers to feel free to take pics at anytime, dunt have to worry about anything.

Father Richards said videographer and photographers cant take video n photos during certain time during the celebration.

My church deco is the same as eudora. i'll load some pics if i can for you all to see.

Choir is being decided by Josephine as they have schedule for it.
 
thanks Loraine! oh no, i'm a bit nervous now as Fr Richards is my celebrant. Josephine gave me a stack of papers to read/regarding the regulations and the fees allocated for choir/canteen etc etc. did you girls pay the deposit first or the entire fees? did u meet up wit the choir before yr wedding to decide on the songs etc?
 
Hi gals! i think i got st.teresa's choir. they sing during the 7.30am mass on sunday, soo early... does anyone have any info on this choir? are they good?
 
Fr Kenny is a damn joker.. chio kah peng! I happen to step intp IHM church not 2 long ago.. where he was saying the matrimony mass one sat morning.. He told the congregations that the brides and bgrm met in this artsy fartsy place .. he didn't even know existed.. damn funny..

FYI Fr kenny was ordained in 2005. i tink so..
 
can someone share experience getting married there? with the coordinator, father, florist and choir??
 
Hi everyone,

Reviving this thread a little. I'm thinking of holding my wedding mass at St. Anne's.

Just want to seek some advice, where do you all do the reception? Understand the canteen does not have aircon, will it be very hot for guests? Any of you all decorated the / hired a buffet for lunch reception?
And how about the tea ceremony? Did you girls do it in the church after mass?
