Cant really tell whether it will be warm or not, it all depends on the weather that day. Pray hard Hi brur, you are one day before me. my rom is on 10 Dec. Samgirl, are those ppl your relatives? They looked so relax.. haha
brur
As my ROM date clashed with the Sep IMF, so initially was told that cannot have early check in...can only check in at 2pm...but eventually, on that day, I turned up at 12:45noon and am able to check in...and start my makeup at 1pm. So I think you can try reaching there around 12noon or 12:30noon for checking in...

you mean those 3 ladies on the poolside table pic? They are my friends and were relaxing there after my event while waiting for me and hubby come over for a chat after we sent off our relatives
hi,
wanted to ask if i wanted champange pouring during my solemnization, is there any corkage charge? and is there any decor on the guest's table? thanks
Finally my ROM is over. Luckily the weather is cool, it just started to rain after my whole event is finish. I saw the next couple having their solemnation just after me and it was already raining like mad.
The worst thing, I was late for 5 mins for my solemnation which supposed to start at 1030am and my JP had another one at 11am. Imagine I panic like siao and stressing the cab driver to drive faster if not I cant marry off liao.
Their services was good and polite. Everything they did was just so perfect. Even the food was nice too, especially the cake. Glad that Michelle (wedding planner) did a great job. So is my photographer.
Here are some of the photos taken, but it's low res. without touch-up.
They got a few cakes all under the buffet pkg. Mine is a choc moss cake and mango pudding cake, 2 each. Got dessert too. I can say the buffet quite worth it. We gt 32 guests but the buffet is for 30 pax, still got alot of food leave. We still got one whole round cake left. If u wa the pic of the cake, let me know.
HI Cherryapple...
Congrats to your successful ROM!
Could you share with me your package at Amara?
Seems like you had a good experience there..

Hihi...same here, My JP was also Mr Chan...my ROM at Amara was in Sep this year and to all who's considering Amara, don't hesitate.
I think I can remember vaguely that there were a few cakes in my buffet but I didn't realli eat much (nor much memory of it) cos I was busy taking pics and talking to friends...haha.
To those to wanted to see more pics of Amara, I've posted some of my pics in on of the archived page of this thread.

Yo ladies. I just had my ROM solmenization at the arama poolside last sat. Everything went well. Food ok, coordination wise all went quite smoothly. I took their dinner package and hence, no complains of hot weather. My coordinator, Patricia was pretty good. We had forgotten to ask one of our friends to be the emcee and she managed to find one of the hotel staff to come and do the opening speech for us in the nick of time. She also gave our guests flower petals for them to throw up to the air (or at us? hee) during our march in. This is something which I did not ask for it or expect to have. Quite nice la.
Overall, I was very pleased with Patricia. Oh ya, during the dinner, we felt some rain drops and thought it was going to rain. The service staff was quite fast in shifting all the tables to the sheltered area. (In the end it din rain. hahah)
I didnt give ang bao to anyone except the JP. It oni after my ROM, I send each of them a Thank You card. Usually those u sign with a pkg, u dont have to give them a ang bao... cos u already pay their services. It also dpend la, some ppl give, but for me I didnt give. Hehe
hello , can anybody adv me what is the procedure for the ROM at Amara? does Amara provide sound sys for music? What does the emcee need to say and is it necessary to play music for the couple to walk in?thanks!!
Dear JK, I just had my solemnisation last sunday at Amara. It was great. The weather was very good, quite cooling. My hubby was the one doing all the arrangement while i was having my make-up done in the hotel room. We had song for march in cos we felt that it really adds on to the mood at that time...the moment the song was played, all my friends stood up and start to clap and throw rose petals at us. They told me they were pretty touched by the march in song. The hotel staff played the first half of the song, after the solemnisation, they continued to play the second half... and it was all so romantic.. i felt very very happy. To me, i felt that a march in music will enhance the whole ceremony, I hope my comments will help.
Hi nitestarz,
Thanks so much for your info! =), btw, how's the food at amara? which menu did you chose?
is it possible to share your ROM photos with me? my e-mail add is [email protected]
tks!
hihi, can anybody recommend any good & humourous JP? We are having our solemnisation at Amara on 5 May 08. usually how long in advance do we need to book the JP?Tks!
my JP is Mr Chan. Read from some of the threads here that he's quite good. Humourous and funny. but he sounded rather stern over the phone. Have not met him yet.
Hi Kimi, the basket flower was from my SIL's one... cos her daughter used to help as a flower girl, so her mum bought one for her. Not sure where to buy it. But u can find those at Raffles S.C. I saw it at a push-cart just outside Tommy Hilfiger boutique.
