if i am not wrong, we paid $2k to book the date.
then maybe a few weeks before the banquet or after selection of dishes, we need to pay $2k (this one i am not sure whether do we still need to pay anymore deposit till the wedding ends).
my AD is on Mar 08 and so far the responses from Alison and Charlene at Marriott have been very quick and precise. paid 2k for deposit (mine's only 90 guests). does any1 know if they charge for cutting cake bought in from outside?
Danielle, my initial number of tables were 30 on a Sat evening. That was the minimum number I had to commit to. Subsequently, the numbers increased to 40. I guess you can speak to the coordinator to check if they still allow 30 tables.
princess, bride and groom normally wont hv time to eat the food coz they need to change, yum seng, take photos etc. But marriot will arrange to keep your portion of the food, heat it up after the banquet and serve it to your room after the dinner.
sensech~ But my in laws wants us to at least eat the first and last dish leh... i also hope can eat that... i udnerstand from charlene that they will put our food in the warmer and send it to the room for us.. good service!! =) But i think we will be too tired to eat? hahaa...
princess, I actually managed to get to eat my first and last dish. I think there shd be no problem eating the first dish coz once you r done with cutting the cake, u will proceed to the table first. You'll only need to change a little while afterwards. But I was a bit worried abt eating coz I dont want to dirty my makeup, esp my lipstick.
Whether u'll get to eat the last dish depends on how fast u can finish the phototaking session. For us, we finished at the 2nd last dish. We had abt 41 tables. I remembered the banquet manager Christine arranged for the waiters to serve the dessert to the VIP tables earlier, probably so that we could hv time to eat and then proceed to the exit to thank the guests. Really good service they hv there!

And you managed to finish fast to eat your last dish.. hmm.. i mentioned to charlene before on this matter, she is fine as long as we start on time too. hehe.. which i agree. What time did you start then? i think i will have abt 35 tables. I won't hit that many.

princess, yup, i had 41 tables. Had champagne pouring straight after 2nd march-in, then toast on stage and thank-you speech. If I didnt rem wrongly, my dinner started somewhere between 830 to 845pm. It was on a sat. Actually I was quite surprised we managed to finish our photo-taking so fast.
princess, I'm not sure leh. What's ur multiply ID? Garden of Love shd be old theme bah coz when I had my dinner, Marriot had not officially launched the new themes. I cant rem if I had the same song for 2nd march-in and champagne pouring leh. It might be the same as I think the song continued to be playing.
Joyce, i went down on Saturday and there are only 3 themes leh. And the pink one is nice, but my EG might blend in with the theme, so might look wierd... considering the white one too... but don't know those elders will grumble or not... sigh.. have you check with them whether we can use their past themes?? They change their theme every year??? i was thinking if they will have new themes mid next year.. then since mine is sept 2008, if they have new themes can i use the new ones too.. hahaa... =D
