Yes I met up with Kim Peng before, find her a very nice lady, and service oriented. Glad that u can get her as ur coordinator.
However, I didn't choose RV, as i prefer the other hotel's location, more accessible.
Xiangqi, u met me before in the tong shu forum. i have chosen HIPV for my venue. Have u decided on ur AD, and banquet venue?

My AD is on 2 Nov 08, same month and yr as u.
What's ur exact AD date? HIA is not bad in terms of decorations but for me, i m not able to meet their table requirements of min 35 tables for ballroom and max 25 tables for Changi function room. As my no. of tables is around 27-28. Which room did u choose?

Hi all out there,
I just enquire about their package recently over the phone and I do agree that this person by the name of May sounded very unfriendly over the phone.... It makes me feel like opting this hotel out because of her attitude!
I said that I wanted to go down to view ballroom and she just tell me she is not free that day! Thats all no service at all.....Upon seeing photos of the ballroom seems alright...haiz. Should I still consider this hotel? Anyone can give some recomendation? My budget is quite tight at abt $500 to $600 plus nett...Help!

You can consider my AD venue, Seletar Country Club... a sure value for $ package & so far the most sincere wedding planner we have met... he provide us with so many advises in selecting AD/ROM venues & even recommend other places if we did not decide on his venue in the end. This is done even during our initial planning stage. Impressed.

Hi Melody, me and FH just went to RV today. Met up with Gary too. Very friendly and nice guy...FH even say he soo cute haha... Heard they are going through some major renovation by phase... would be all newly done up by Nov this year ...so during this period there wont be any AD. We are seriously considering to go with this hotel as we find it quite a good deal.
Anyone there with recent experience with this hotel? Please share more with us on the food and whole experience? Thank you for the advice.

I have their wedding package for year 2008, although my wedding is Feb 09, but i signed up with them now hence i was able to secure the 2008 price. I was told that the banquet price will be slightly increased for year 2009.

Their ballroom set up is quite ok to me, as i am looking for small number of tables, hence i find that their Camelia Room is just nice and cosy.
By the way, i was told that there will be a banquet dinner on this coming Sep 08. Maybe you can check with the person in charge for viewing the ballroom set up.

Has signed up with Riverview last year and went down again this afternoon to settle the printing of the invitation card, food tasting, VGA cable and other matters for my upcoming AD. Heh... Hope everything goes well.

Helo gals, i just had my food tasting sometime last month and feedback i had from our families was good. There's a few good dish which i felt was quite unique and nice as compared to other few banquets that i've attended before.

Hi all, We just had our wedding done at Riverview hotel. It was very nice and memorable. We had very good comments from friends and family as well and staffs of Riverview was very nice and helpful. No regrets holding our big event there. We thought this hotel was no less than a 5* hotel! Do seriously consider this venue! Great experience with them and we'll definitely be back for anniversaries etc...

Hi Snow19, The food was better then we've expected... We've got lots of comments like "Suprisingly the portion is more then expected" (Usually for some banquets the portion differs during food tasting and actual day), "The Chicken tasted very nice we haven't had enough!","It's a unique dish and it's really nice!"(Roasted Chicken with Black Vinegar and chilli oil) and "The prawns are very fresh!" (Blanched Prawns with Chinese Herbs)...

Just to voice out my displeasure.
I was attracted to Riverview's nice ballroom and wanted to book my banquet with them. I started calling them 2 weeks ago but never get through to their Banquet Sales. Everytime I called, someone there will say the salesperson just walked out. They asked for my contact, but never called back.
Surprisingly, they do respond to my email but no handphone no given. Finally got an appointment last Monday to view the ballroom. When I got there at the agreed timing, I was informed the Banquet Sales personnel had already gone off with no explanation given.
Though they last minute got an operation guy to show me around, I had already lost confidence of their service. No followup whatsoever from them even until now.

Oh, I wonder why you didnt get to see the sales personnel. But I do know it's just as important to see the operations manager cos if you have any technical requirements, it's a good opportunity to ask. I met him a couple of times before my wedding banquet too, to finalised a few operations stuff, did a rehearsal and throughout my wedding banquet, he was there to supervised the whole operation, with my catering manager. I thought both the OM and catering manager were quite good. I know the catering manager gave birth not long ago, not sure if she's back at work.

I arranged to meet the banquet sales personnel, but kena flew aeroplane. Her office phone was diverted to the cafe, and the cafe staff got me a banquet ops to take me around instead.
Went to riverview today to try their food and went to the ballroom today to see its layout and design for the wedding that's taking place in the afternoon. Everything looks good and nice, I'm likely to sign up with this place for my wedding.
Any like minded people here? We can dicuss about the package.

Just signed with RV recently for a weekend banquet. I think they are pretty flexible in terms of the perks, compared to some of the places that my WTB and me went to view.
Their pre-sales service even beat their neighbour, Copthorne King's hands down. At least for RV right now, they don't have the surcharge for the so-called "auspicious" dates.
