For those who are very interested in holding their wedding at Regent and are looking for a gd deal besides what the hotel will be offering you,
I am letting go a lunch banquet package for min 25 tables at Regent Singapore on the 18 Mar 2012, Sunday. Date could be brought forward earlier but not later than 18 Mar 2012. And event could be changed to Dinner. Ballroom could hold max 50 tables.

Deposit has already been paid for more than $5000 and am happy to nego for much lesser. Among all the perks include 1-2 night stay at its executive suite, food menu tasting session, a bottle of wine per table, 20L beer, and more (Dinner package comes with more). Am happy to reveal the full details of package upon request.

Hi everyone! My wedding just ended. So surreal Juz like what my hubby said. Time passed really fast.
A pity I was tied up with tea ceremony during cocktail reception so I din have the chance to take photos ard the hotel but hope e pics will come out all right.

Is anyone getting their lunch package? Can share with me what are the perks you got? I am looking at the package but doesn't seem to include complimentary food tasting??
 
Oops, sorry - just read that there's complimentary food tasting. But would still appreciate it if anyone can share on the package that you have - my email is above. Also, which coordinator is more open to negotiation?

I am looking to buy Regent Hotel rooms stays from couples who do not need their extra hotel room stays that comes with their wedding package for my oversea friends coming to my wedding @ The Regent

This can be hotel anniversary stay, bros/sister room stay, etc.

Hotel room stays must be valid will 2011.

Breakfast included will be a plus.

Do check and confirm with hotel that you can transfer your rooms.

Pls note that I will need overnight stay rooms rather than day rooms.

i'm a may 2012 bride and currently am toying with the idea of a candy/dessert bar at the reception area (i'm taking tanglin room).

any of u gals have discussed abt such an option with your coordinator?
 
hi nefariouskat, i jus had my wedding at the grand ballroom...and i did put up a candybar at the recept area....regents generally cool with the idea of candy bar....they jus need u to fill up a indemnity form thats all..are u DIY-ing the candybar or engaging a vendor?

karentvbox: I had my wedding in Nov last year and the food is quite good, location should be ok bah there is a bus stop outside. Plus guests normally wear very nice to weddings so they would mostly take cabs instead of bus.

U can join their wedding shows (I think there is one upcoming one?) to see the venue, set up, taste the food (if there is) if you wish to be sure. I love the Regent for its classy decor (very lovely!), they have a big area with sofas exclusively for your guests if you are holding dinner at their Royal Pavilion Ballroom, and the ballroom looks classy & elegant! Not forgetting they have a wide and beautiful range of themes that are very different from what other hotels are offering!

Am going back to Regent next week for my anni stay.. Can't wait!!
 
Karentvbox: yes many of my guest complained about the location too. But the attendance was about 98% in the end. And that night was raining heavily. So I would say if pple wanna go for your wedding, they would still go no matter what. As for the food, so far no bad reviews. But not much that commented it's very good too. Haha.
 
bzbz: sorry for the late reply! was so bz with work.. anyways, i was thinking of DIY-ing the candy bar cuz have checked out a few vendors but they are quite ex. anyways, mine will be at tanglin room, so i don't need a very big candy bar

anybody is paying for rental of the tomlinson room for tea ceremony? i recall a fren's wedding and they didnt pay and now regent is informing me that rates apply for that room

joy, i did my food tasting. indeed it was good, but AD wont be the same one i think. I rmember the food didnt taste tat good when i attended my good friend's wedding :P

sctly, if u choose room then i guess you have to pay.
 
hello everyone. am wondering how long it took you to receive the agreement/contract - mine is taking more than a week and it's quite sad cos we specifically said my htb will be travelling and would like to see the draft in softcopy before i go down to make the deposit.

also, did anyone manage to request for more parking coupons? the previous meeting with the coord they were insistent on it. i hope it is cos my bargaining skills are poor.
 
Sctly, it depends how much was changed from original template of the agreement mah

Since they cant send b4 u leave, come back then pay lor. I m sure coordinator will hold your date since u cant get the agreement & sign b4 u leave.

As for parking, its a small car park below. Not sure wat u got but if i am not wrong its the same anywhaere 70%. wat u can do is if u really wan it...give them something back...like maybe room cake or booz if you dun need them? "return" something to get something? keke.

I am new here. am considering signing with Regent Nassim Room cos only about 10 tables. But it does look everything like a boardroom. Has anyone attended any weddings at Nassim room before?
 
Hi nixpiz I was considering Nassim room but according to coordinator it will not have the same decor as the ballroom and look very plain and white in comparism. She showed me the photos and was truly disappointing. You can contact me at [email protected]
 
This post came a little late. My wedding is already over on 3rd Dec 2011, and was held at Pavillion ballroom.
I was glad I made Regent my choice and we really had a wonderful evening for the important day of our lives. Just how I have wanted it to be, in fact it exceeded my expectations of their services provided. The co-ordinators / managers were amazing and will ensure that every single detail follow thru smoothly during the entire celebration. One word - Professionalism.
I love how the lightings were just focused on us and not the entire ballroom when we were on stage. The food of course was a little shortfall of expectation as per during our tasting but yet we still do receive guest feedbacks on how good some dishes were.
Table services wise, there were both really good and bad feedbacks, which I think this is really out of our control. Nevertheless, everything was almost perfect! We stayed 2 nights at the bridal suite, missed every single bit of our wedding day upon check out till to date.

A big thank you to the team @ The Regent who took charge of our event that day!

I'm considering Regent as well for my lunch banquet...anyone has any photos to share? How's the height of the ceiling of the Pavillion ballroom? Does it have a high ceiling?

I'm considering the Tanglin room at regent for my dinner banquet. My concern is that the width of the room is a bit small, so the aisle to walk down is narrow too. Any thought?

the pavillion ballroom is very nice!! the themes that they have on offer are good too - i especially love the one "elements of emotion"
