I should be booking mine at NATAS also.. Will be gng in Dec. I also think group tour easier. No need to worry about how to get from point A to B. But bad thing is less time to spend at each stop coz group tour always need to cover many places. most of the time is spent on the coach. Haa..
ended my wedding on the 5th june. used ballroom 1&2. angie was my coordinator. took my package from haze, changed to lindsay and then to angie and i requested angie to be my coordinator from then on cos i dont wanna keep changing.
she was good, in fact whatever she could help, she helped
i believed cos she had some of her difficulties as well with some of my requests lol.
was really nervous on that day and she kept me calm, the food was not too bad i heard, i had free flow beer and free flow red wine for my package and brought along 3 boxes of martell lol for those hardcore drinkers.
oh yah had my ROM in the function room as well but mine was 7pm so the solemnizer dint really have much time communicating as some of my guests already was waiting outside hehe so was abit rushing.
overall i had a gd experience with orchard hotel and really have to thanks angie cos she only took over halfway nearing to my wedding and we managed to work things out quite smoothly. though i would have preferred haze cos i took the package from her but i would like to wish her all the best in her career advancements.
yups i have a day room as well as a connecting room thats connected to my bridal suite. the bridal suite will be quite crowded on that day so actually some of the bros or sis can use the day rm to make up, bathe and rest etc.
u can try requesting again for a day rm i think shld be no problem one, its only the connecting room that angie has to confirm the availablity on the actual day itself..
my lucky dip only got the free wedding cards mah so i abit like not shiok so i requested the day room on the day i took my package itself..
Michelle: you mean OH gave you an extra room connecting to bridal rm huh. Thats good. Dunno whether is that the standard case for each couple or not. If yes, that room my in-laws can stay for the night.
Just wanna share my extremely unhappy experience with orchard hotel on my wedding night about 1 and half years ago. I held my wedding there cose the food and ambience was goood. But on the night of my wedding, I was not told that there would be maintainence and the water supply would be cut off at 1am. By the time I was done with the dinner and seeing off my guests and not to mention they require us to settle the bill on the night itself, it was already past midnight.
To my horror, there was no water for us to bath by the time we were ready for bed. We went to the reception and guess wat the filipino lady at the desk said. " We already left the letter on the bed informing that there will be no water." She was really rude and gave me a disgruntled face. Who will notice what is on the bed on your wedding night? My coordinator didn't even mentioned to us about this. They didn't have any contingency plan and told us to wait till 6am to bath. We were fuming mad and there was no apologies, follow up, rebate whatsoever. What a way to spoil the wedding night. Till this day, my husband and I are extremely disappointed with Orchard hotel as it was the most unromantic day of our lives. We wanted to check in to another hotel but decided against it we had too many barang barang. Good luck to those who booked OH and look out for any letter on the bed.
My hubby and I were basically very disappointed and didn't feel like talking about it so we just left early in the morning at around 9am. The banquet was good i must agree. Guess we were the only ones affected by this water incident. Just don't assume a letter on your bed means something like well wishing from the hotel.
I am OH btb 2012. My boyfriend attended his company function in OH recently and he received a really bad service from them. Now we are really worried that it will happen in our wedding and screw everything. How bad is the service?
- Two waiters were fighting in front of my boyfriend and his colleagues. Yes, literally fight. Pull shirt and punches.
- When asked to refill the drink on the cup, they simply ignore and forever never come back with the drink.
- They shows a super black face when asked to change a plate after dishes.
Although the manager is really friendly, according to my boyfriend. But the manager is alone. How is her good service possible to serve 25 tables in banquet?
So, Orchard Hotel Management, if you happen to read this, I hope that you will do something to improve your ground staff's customer service skills.
bingqiling, mine is end october. guests' name not included so you have to write it yourself. What is printed on the card is both parents' name and your husband and your name plus your wedding date, venue, etc.
