Orchard Hotel

Dear Brides,
I am Christian, but hubby is not. Looking for a pastor to bless our wedding.
The church we attend is not able to do that since we already ROM and not be the member for the past two years. b'cos, workI have been travlefor the past 3 years. so I am not attached to any church locally for long.

Is there any where we could get help?
 


Dear Jo,
attend a few weddings and it seems very normal.
Normally, the 11th is someone with special diet such as vegetarian or Hala.

actually cos got a friend last min say she is able to attend. She is a super small eater so thought add her to this particular table whereby she know everybody. Food wise shld not be a problem cos she eat super little. I m just wondering will it be too squeezing or not.

If there is more than one small build in that table. it shall be fine.
As my good friend whom is vegetrian and normally be the 11th with me on the same table. Both of us are the small build.
 
for those who chose ballroom 3, understand that the secton of the ballroom will be partition off fm ballroom 1 & 2. does it mean we can hear watever is happening over at the next ballroom since its juz "next door" kind of thing?

Planning to hold my wedding on Dec 08, n yes, I'm concerned abt the noise level from the other ballroom should there be two weddings concurently too....

N wonder wat's the likelihood of two weddings there if it's a weekday? Chance lower right? Dun really like the idea of having another couple together....but yet I really like the ballroom n deco.

Brides who have held their wedding there pls share?
 
hi, i m holding my wedding at ballroom 1 & 2. i know there will be another wedding at ballroom 3. this thread had been rather inactive and quiet. dunno why too... from my previous chat with ppl holding their wedding in BR 1 & 2, they did not mention anything abt can hear sound from the other BR. so shld be fine bah.

I've been to a wedding at the same ballroom and there was minimal noise distuption. I guess it will be fine unless ur next door ballroom is having some mega event that invites the lion dance..

To OH brides.... care to share on the perks that we can obtain from OH??? Their pricing seems high... anyone had tried their montage? Is it good??? TKs U!
 
Hi gals, will be confirming my booking with OH soon. Date has been confirmed on the 7 Sept 08. Anyway, there is a bridal show coming up on the 15 Sept 07 so watch out for that. Bridal show package is also out, so if anyone is interested, maybe can contact OH for the package? =)
 
Just went for food tasting two weeks ago and very disappointed at OH, their standard drop.
Called and check with co-ordinator, she told us not to expect too much since that was prepared in the standard of 400ppl.
 
i had my wedding in June. Pretty satisfied with the quality of the food served that evening. Received positive comments on the shark fins soup and dessert. Generally good comments on the food.

mandyeh, maybe you should provide feedback to the hotel... what you do not like about the dishes. Some items can be changed, like the way it is cook etc.
 
mandyeh: is it true? I will be having my food tasting in a mth time. Hope will be fine. Why did ur co-ordinator mention so when for food tasting the food is prepared for only 10 person? if the standard for 10 person is already drop then what to expect for 400pl?
ya, agree with chere, got to feedback to them. Its not an excuse to use preparing for 400pl and thus standard drop.

is she good? new coordinator? I had seen it but i m using ballroom 1 and 2 thus no pic for tat. paiseh.. My AD is nov 17 this yr.

Any comments on their foods & bridal suite? I'm torn between Orchard Hotel & Sheraton Tower. ST provide a wider range of foods but their bridal suite didn't impress us, while OH provide irresistible wedding perks if we book during their wedding show.
 
I was there too! wasn't a lucky winner too. Btw, i didn't sign up... didn't like the option of having the partition ballroom for 30 tables. Anyone sign up?

i had a look at ballroom 3, and the ceiling is very high, very nice chandeliers, and more importantly pillarless

hmmmmm signed up with cindy... but dun really have positive view about her. she actually told me tt the perks will end on 15th sept itself, which of cuz i noe its not the truth. which hotel will make the customers to sign up on that day itself without going back to consider. and after signing actions is abit slow. until now i have not gotten my reviewed/ agreed contract. has been 3 weeks. but then again, my hubby likes the ballroom so just make do with it. just hope that the actual day itself everything goes smoothly...
