Hi Diva,
Actually, during the banquet we didn't make any loss, just that 2 tables $$ was spent unwisely, when we can take precaution against it.
The angpao we have collected for both our friends and Hubby's family's guests, we just need to topped up another $2K (which include additional helpers'day use room at $100+++).
But not forgetting we did not take back 8 tables of ang pows from my mum and dad's (est. 5K)
So in fact we actually didnt lose any $$ in banquet.
For the food we didn't touch on it, cos by then I was already too tired n my hubby were half sober liao, but our xiong di/s did help to finished the prawns and phoenix chix when they 'nao dong fang' but the whole pot of sharkfins (cos no cutlery n plates/bowls) and plate of steamed fish and the rest of the foods were pathetically left in the room till the next day when we woke up lor.
Well, i don't know if there is sufficient space for 2 baby chairs and 10 adults for 1 table.
But I might suggest that, if you already have guests confirmed they need baby chair for their kids, you can pre-empt BM to place the chair there first. then the guest can auto know that 'oh that baby-chair for my baby-kid'. if not, will be in same case like mine lor, my guest confirmed that her baby taking the baby chair but on actual day, did not ask for 1, and took up an adult seating instead which is why when my xiong di saw that the 3 adults and 2 children <6 years cannot fit in the table with 5 adult 1 kid, has to open the reserved table lor knowing that we do not want to make our guests feel 'squeezy'.
What most impt abt table planning is, as it is a happy event, don't let your guests feel uncomfortable.
