No gatecrash

Hello all btb & graduated brides:

Has anyone done or planning a wedding without gatecrash?
What is the schedule like if there's no gatecrash & we are hosting dinner instead? Do we still need brothers & sisters?

Morning session seems quite unnecessary without gatecrash and tea ceremony for the groom's side (because MIL didn't want to trouble the relatives & she wants everyone to see her drink the tea so die die must be done at the venue).

I wanna opt out the entire morning session but I somehow felt it's kinda disrespect to my own family.

Help please!

Maybe you can do a simple one like ask your htb to come and fetch you then you all go back to his parents place. Like just a gesture that you 出嫁. For sisters and brothers maybe just get a few of your good friends to assist you and stay around for support.

I am planning my wedding without gatecrash, to me, it's just meaningless.

We are hosting lunch banquet so my htb will come pick me and go straight to the hotel.

I know right. I don't see a need to let my htb go through all the humiliation to proof his love. But 1 of my bridesmaid whom is also my best friend doesn't seems to understand.

Dont worry about that. Be firm on your decision, your best friend will understand at the end of the day. On your special big days, your happiness is the most important.

I'm also choosing to do away with the gatecrashing because I know my fiance will hate it so I'm going to spare him (and his brothers, lol) all that. We're still going to have bridesmaids / groomsmen who will help out with other things. In fact, my bridesmaids are secretly happy that they have one less task to do, LOL!

Will you still have your morning session?

@mandylove, @missycher and @papercupcakes - I haven't really planned my schedule yet, but I think we'll be having the tea ceremony in the hotel suite. So we'll check in at 2pm, the MUA will come and get my hair and make up done. Then once everyone's hair and make up is done, we'll start the tea ceremony in the hotel suite. Will probably only be serving tea to our very intimate relatives. With whatever remaining time, we'll take photos / set up the venue / rest and relax until the cocktail reception at 7pm.

Our ROM will be on a different day so the day of banquet will actually be quite free.

I just had mine without gate crash, without brothers and sisters. I think it's fine! Nothing much to do anyway. It was a very small affair with just our closest family. Everything was very chill and relaxed. Less ppl means less to coordinate. Tea ceremony for both sides quite minimal. Although we didn't have our friends there.. Personally I think it's ok. Marriage to me is a a very personal and family kind of thing. Less ppl more cosy too.

We will still have our dinner banquet on a separate day, will invite friends and other relatives.
