Master David Tong's Advice Corner (Geomancy and Fengshui)

Hi Angel,

Visiting her at the hotel room is ok, not to worry. Of course you can see her during this period, and you can go to her hen's night
happy.gif
You only need to avoid the ROM and AD.

oh thanks god, i am really relieved to hear that!
i appreciate all your help here.
regarding the bazi consultation, i'll need to check with my FH. will consult you again if we need your service.
many thanks!!

ooops, sorry i just re-read your earlier reply that we only need to avoid the ROM and AD.

ahh but our hotel visit will be on her AD?? so does this mean no-no??

Hi Angel,

Oh yes. If you mean visiting her on her AD at the hotel, then ideally you should avoid. Maybe you can pass her the Ang Bao on the hen's night etc. I think she will understand since this is a very common practice
happy.gif
Though it is a chinese belief, i still feel that if you can follow this belief, it is better since wedding is a once in a lifetime thingy and you don't want any "risks"

Hi David,

12 Nov 2010 clashes with the bride's mum (Monkey). Just to confirm, I've heard that as long as the Wedding witness is not "Monkey", and when the bride enters the guy side door there is no "Monkey" around, its fine. Does it work this way?

master tong,

alright, we will avoid my best friend on her ROM/AD then. so eve of her AD is perfectly fine right? last but not least, can you kindly check if these dates and timings are ok/important?

Guo Da Li - 22/5/09, 10.30am
An Chuan - 31/5/09, 9am (must the bride be present?)
ROM - 01/06/09, 2pm
AD (tea ceremony) - 03/06/09, 11am-1pm (is there any earlier general auspicious timing?)

here's the details:

Groom DOB: 27 Jan 1976 (not sure consider dragon or rabbit)
Father: Ox
Mother: Rabbit

Bride DOB: 11 Feb 1976 (dragon)
Father: Ox
Mother: Horse

thanks for your help again!

Hi Master Tong,

Need your advise if 19th Sept 2010 is suitable for our ROM & AD wedding?

Bride: 12 July 1984 (Rat)
Mother: Goat
Father: Snake (deceased)

Groom: 18th Aug 1982 (Dog)
Mother: Dog
Father: Goat

Thanks!!

Hi BC Ling,

No it does not work this way. The date selected cannot clash to either of you or your parents. There is no work around solution for this. The one you've heard is that every day there will be one animal sign that clash with the day (and this animal sign cannot be parents or either of you). So during the fetch the bride timing, the those born in the yr where the animal sign clashes cannot "confront" the groom. they have to "hide" first. Only after the groom steps in, then they can come out. Same for bride going to groom's home. Some even practice to the level where the xiong di and jie mei cannot be that animal sign etc etc.

Hope this helps

Hi Angel,

Eve of AD is perfectly all right

As for your dates:

Guo Da Li - 22/5/09, 10.30am -- OK

An Chuan - 31/5/09, 9am (must the bride be
present?) -- OK. Preferably to be present.

ROM - 01/06/09, 2pm -- Not a general auspicious Tong Shu date...but this day don't clash to any of you

AD (tea ceremony) - 03/06/09, 11am-1pm (is there any earlier general auspicious timing?) -- OK. 11am is the best timing for that day.

Hope this helps.

Hi David

Thanks for your valuable advise. One more thing, can I ask whats the implication for clashing with the bride's mum who is "Monkey"?

Hi David,
some qns rdg the eternity wedding pkg...

for the house analysis, if we have not select our flat, will u provide a general guide to how to select the "best" hse that suit the couple? eg main door direction etc.

cos frm ur web it only brieftly mention the pkg include analysis report of hse & selection of date to renovate & move in etc.
Just wondering what happens if we are actually only in process of selecting? will u advise how to go about selecting the "best" hse based on the couples' ba zhi etc?

Thanks.

Hi BC Ling,

Normally we don't want a clash coz it is a chinese belief that if there is a clash during wedding day, then next time the relationship between each other will not be so good.

Hope this helps.

Hi Joe Ong,

As much as i want to help you in the area of general good dates, the Tong Shu is not out yet, so i will not know or be able to select general Tong Shu auspicious date for wedding for 2010 yet. Right now, the only way and also the right and accurate way of doing it will be using Bazi to select dates. FYI, a date reflected auspicious in the Tong Shu may still be bad for both of you if the date chosen is not compatible wtih both your Bazi.

As for Bazi wedding dates selection, it is part of my consultation service to my clients, hence i can't provide it here free in the forum or it will be unfair to my clients who paid for my service. Hope you understand.

If you have any particular date in mind, just post it here. I can advise you if it is a bad day as there are some days that are definitely bad and cannot be used for marriage; and some days that will clash to either of you or your parents, so cannot be used as well.

Hi hy,

1/11/09 is not a general auspicious tong shu date for wedding. This day doesn't clash to any of you.

Btw, the groom is born in year of the Goat.

Why not you try 29/11? It is a better date and will not clash to any of you.

Hi Shirley,

You can use 21/11/09 for An Chuang.

For GDL, you can use 25/10/09 (it is normally about 1 month before your AD).

For An Chuang, it is the setting of the bridal bed. If you want, you can drop me an email at [email protected] and i can explain to you how to go about doing it. It will be very lengthy to explain everything here.

Hope this helps

Hi Josky,

Yes I will provide you a general guide to select the best block based on the estate plan. However, it is NOT guaranteed to be good yet coz this is the block only. For the unit itself, there is no way to accurately select a good unit with good Feng Shui for a BTO property. We can estimate, but after it is built, the direction and reading has to be taken at the unit physically to determine if it is good or not. Before it is built, everything is on paper only. It is not accurate and precise.

Just to give you an idea, normally we only know of the 8 directions in a compass. On the estate plan, it will state the general North direction and from there, we know the rest of the directions. However, in Feng Shui, we have 24 directions known as the "24 Mountains". Each 45 degrees direction (eg North) is further subdivided into 3 directions of 15 degrees each. Hence the estate plan may tell me your house face North, but I need to know which 15 degree of the North your property is facing. The only way to determine is to take the directional reading at the unit itself. All feng shui has to be done "live" at the property itself. Using just a general compass direction with the floor plan itself is just an estimate only and not accurate.

As such, from Feng Shui perspective, buying a resale or a property that is already built is better as you can choose a good one before you buy.

Hope this helps

Hi David,
thks for explaining! =)

so can I conclude that for the eternity wedding pkg,
feng shui audit = actual "measurement" on site at the property,
feng shui analysis report = report generated after the site audit/measurement

sorry to ask also... will this include guidelines as to how to renovate the hse? eg, location of stove / sink / preparation area in kitchen? (heard these 3 items location will greatly affect the ppl living in e hse rite?)

*paisei for my lengthy qns*
thks again.

Hi Josky,

No worries. Any qns you have, feel free to ask
happy.gif

For the feng shui part of the package, it will include everything you need for your house. Yes, i will do the directional measurement on site at your property. The report will be provided when we meet up again 2nd time few days later for the analysis and discussion.

For Feng Shui, the main door, the stove, the bedroom and the bed location and direciton are the most important. I will tell you specifically how and what to do. There are many "pan-tan' things in feng shui that you may heard about but not true. I will clarify all of them with you as well if you have any of them (and i love to clarify them haha). Eg, can we put TV in a bedroom? In what circumstances can, and cannot? Putting a tv in a bedroom and cover it with a cloth is "bluffing yourself" !
happy.gif

After which, we also have to consider the academic sector for study desk, kids room, wealth sector (btw, not all house have wealth sector. Even if have, not all house's wealth sector can be activated with water.). A special auspicious date also has to be selected for start of renovation, moving in and activatation of any feng shui implementations (eg turning on the water feature). These dates are selected according with the feng shui of the house and the bazi of all the occupants, NOT the general Tong Shu method which is incorrect.

Hope this calrifies your doubts a bit

master tong, thank you for your help once again!!
happy.gif

can i just clarify on the below:
AD (tea ceremony) - 03/06/09, 11am-1pm (is there any earlier general auspicious timing?) -- OK. 11am is the best timing for that day.

is 11am the best time to start the tea ceremony at the groom's place or shd the groom fetch the bride at 11am? if tea ceremony shd commence at 11am at groom's place, then what is the ideal timing to fetch the bride?? we heard that tea ceremony shd not be later than noon? is that true? because that would mean we have to finish tea ceremony at both groom's and bride's place within an hour or less.

may i know if the hair-combing ceremony important? is it ok if we skip this?

i will also like to have more info on an chuan, i will be very grateful if you can share with me on how to go about setting the bridal bed, the do's and dont's. [email protected]

thank you sooo much!!

here's the details:

Groom DOB: 27 Jan 1976 (not sure consider dragon or rabbit)
Father: Ox
Mother: Rabbit

Bride DOB: 11 Feb 1976 (dragon)
Father: Ox
Mother: Horse

Hi Master Tong =) Thanks so much for your advice
happy.gif
But is there a particular timing on those specific dates dat i need to follow to perform the GDL and An Chuang? Will definitely email u to find out more regarding the an chuang.Thank you once again
happy.gif

Hi David,
another thing to clarify... regarding housing fengshui

understand that you were saying for BTO situation, can only base on plans to estimate cos cannot know exact directions from drawings.

just would like to know, what would be the average/general time frame to get this brief guide done up?

thks thks

Hi Angel,

For 11am to 1pm timing, it means that the groom have to reach your place at about 10.40am, "play game tekan session" first, and step into your house at 11am. He will fetch you to his home and complete the tea ceremony with his parents by 1pm.

This is the best timing for the day. Alternative 2nd best will be 0900hrs - 1059hrs.

It is not true fetch the birde cannot be after noon. No logic to this. If your parents are not comfortable about it, use the 9am timing, still will do.

Nowadays, very few people do hair combing. Probably for every 300 couples i selected dates for, only 1 request for it

I've sent you an email.

Hope this helps

Hi JoSky,

I generally don't do this selection process for clients coz since it is not that precise or accurate, i don't want to charge for it. Basically i don't do something and charge for it if i feel it cannot give accurate results.

However, i will help to do this free of charge if I am engaged to do their house feng shui or wedding dates selection. I just consider as part of value added service, which i don't charge.

Time frame is very fast. If we meet to do it, it takes only 15mins. Or if via email, 1 day turnaround time.

Hope this helps

hi david,
ic ic thks for ur reply.

I'm currently still waiting for my BTO q results... thus a lot things not confirm yet. anyway just wann find out more info & plan before hand (think i'm typical kiasu kind)

er... sorry m wondering... how abt for resale flat situation? izzit the couple go ahead to view with the brief general selection guide, then when we see 1 we like, we can trouble u to helpus check?

thks again. =)

Hi JoSky,

For resale, i do charge for this as this is part of my consultation service.

From Feng Shui perspective, this is very important. In this case, you can choose a house with good feng shui before you buy. So you don't have to headache later on changing this and that and worry if the main door is not good etc.

If you want more info on how to proceed on this, you can drop me an email at [email protected] or post your email here and i will email you.

Hi Master Tong,
Thanks for your earlier reply. Would like to enquire if it was ok for me to ROM on 2nd July 2009.

Groom: 18/11/1977 (Snake)
Father: Rat
Mother: Dragon

Bride: 11/11/1976 (Dragon)
Mother: Snake

Hi Master Tong,

Would like to know if any of the below dates are good for moving into a new house for us.

Father: 1970 (Dog)
Mother: 1970 (Dog)
Daughter: 2000 (Dragon)
Son: 2004 (Monkey)

18 Jun to 21 Jun 2009

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Joe,

That is a general good day for wedding. It doesn't clash to any of you. If you are after only a general good day, yes you can use it.

Hi Master Tong,

Can I check with you if the tong shu for year 2010 is not out, then what did you based on in giving the auspicious AD date? Thanks for the advise.

Hi Minishop,

For moving into a new house, none of the days you listed above are general good days. The next nearest will be 2nd july.

Just like wedding dates, date selection for moving into new house and start of renovation can be divided into general and specific dates as well.

General dates are from the Tong Shu. BUT, it is NOT accurate. For example, in the Tong Shu, there are many dates you can move in or start reno in a month. But in authentic date selection for houses, the Feng Shui of a house needs to be taken into consideration, as well as the birth data of all occupants in the house. There are some houses sitting on certain direction that whole year cannot do renovation or move in. If you want to, a special auspicious date and month needs to be selected or it will bring down the feng shui of the house.

Technically, this technique is also known as Xuan Kong Da Gua date selection.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jia-joey,

The dates are calculated based on both your Bazi (birthday and time of birth) in combination with other authentic date selection techniques such as Dong Gong Zhe Ri Fa, Jian Chu Shi Er Shen etc. These are authentic techniques of date selection.

For Tong Shu, if you do a bit of research, one date reflected good in one tong shu may be reflected as bad in another tong shu. It is not consistent.

Hope this helps

Hi Master Tong, I agree with you.
So it's perfectly ok if we check with you the auspicious date for AD in 2010 right?

Thanks again.

Hi jia-joey,

If you are looking at general Tong Shu dates only (such as those i provide here free in the forum), I can only advise you on 2010 dates after the Tong Shu is out somewhere in July/Aug period.

If you want to do it based on Bazi, i do charge for this as this is part of my consultation service, or it will be unfair to my clients who paid for it. Hope you understand
