Hi xkate, Yi ling, Mi5sy,

that is leap mth, just like qing ming n 7th mth, chinese believe it is not gd to get married in that period. by feng shui isok if the date match ur bazi, but again, as chinese we usually follow this rule when calculating wedding dates

Bride Dad: 11 August 1961 (Ox)
Bride Mum: 2 January 1963 (Tiger)

Groom: 25 May 1990 (Horse)
Groom Dad : 21 May 1949 (Ox)
Groom Mum: 23 February 1960 (Rat)

Will 16th June 2018 be a good date for our wedding?

Hi Master Tong,

Thanks for your advice. Understand that 2018 will be a better year for Snake and Rabbit.

1. Know that Rabbit clash with 2017 Rooster. Heard that if the year is not good for the zodiac, is possible to do a marriage to 冲喜? Is that really the case?
2. If we really need to ROM in 2017 because of house, which would be a better month / date in the year?

Here's our details again, for your reference:
Bride: 1989 (Snake)
Groom: 1987 (Rabbit)

Bride’s Father: Jan 1957 (Monkey)
Bride’s Mother: Jan 1960 (Pig)
Bride’s Brother: 1991 (Goat)

I just got my wedding date counted for next year 2018. However, when I checked the lunar calander, it shows that it is a bad day to marry. Does this thing happen often? Is it advisable to go ahead? Thank you in advance!

16th jun 2018 dont clash any of you, but have to wait for tong shu for 2018 to come out in Aug/sept to determine good or bad. Now the only way is using Bazi to calculate

the yr is bad so usually all the dates are bad. if no choice , then have to choose a very good date to rom using Bazi, not the general tong shu method which is too superficial

this date clash Rooster . If none of ur parent are rooster, then potentially good date but for general dates, have to wait for tong shu to be out in sep to check. Now the only way is using bazi check

For move in date, we cannot calculate it based on tong shu as very dangerous . the tong shu dont factor in the house direction, hence cant which day or month or yr, based on the hse direction, is bad to move in. Coz if you choose a bad date, will suffer from bad luck after that.

Groom Mum - 16/02/1959 (Pig)
Groom Dad - 21/05/1960 (Rat)

Bride - 25/09/1986 (Tiger)
Bride Mum - 08/03/1957 (Rooster)
Bride Dad - 28/01/1957 (Monkey)

May I ask if there are any auspicious timings for us to use for the 过门 etc? I understand there are different versions of the tong shu, and they gave vastly different auspicious timings. Which tong shu should I use?
