13th and 20th May are general tong shu good dates for wedding and don't clash anyone

* Note that these are general dates only and both your bazi are not taken into consideration yet. A general good date can still be deemed inauspicious if the date and your bazi are not compatible *

The tong shu for 2014 will only be out in Aug this year, hence if you looking at general dates only, we can only check in Aug. Right now, the only way is to use bazi to calculate the dates

Given that both dates are not a good dates for wedding, any recommended Saturday / Sunday wedding dates for us for the 2nd half of 2013 (Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec)?

Happy New Year to you. My future MIL has picked a date for my wedding (28 Dec 2013), but she is not sure when is the auspicious timing to fetch the bride.

Also, we are thinking of solemnisation just before our lunch banquet at ard 11am - not sure if that is good also.

Bride - Rat
Groom - Pig

How much is your consultation fee for 2014 wedding and how many dates will be given to us? Do you need chinese or english birthday of the couple or including the parents?

by right 2013 snake yr clashes to Pig, hence not a good yr for wedding.

If no choice, 28th Dec is a general good date so long as none of you are Dog as it clashes to dog that day (including parents)

Thanks for your reply and advice. If I have no choice but to stick to 28th Dec, how do I look at the auspicious hours to fetch bride/ROM etc? Is it from the chinese calendar's split of different times and the 'Ji', 'Xiong' for each time?

As groom is born Pig yr, 2013 snake yr clashes to him, hence a bad year for wedding. Ideally should be 2014 Horse Year. Anyway, both dates you listed are not genral tong shu gd dates as well.

7/11-6/12 is Po Yue, not a good mth for wedding. There are no general good dates in end Oct, and only 1 good one before 7/11

Hi Master Tong,

I have a situation that requires your expert advice.

I have already got the date for fetching the bride. It's on 22 May 2013.
I understand that actually I need to 'guo da li' at least a wk before, but this is not possible due to my in-laws are not locals.
They will be flying here on the 20 May 2013 night, probably 11pm.

Which date or any advice for me in this situation?
Does 'guo da li' actually requires an auspicious date or its important but not significant?

I understand that the tong shu for 2014 is only available in Aug 2013. Am planning for our AD to be first half of the year.

Yes it is still customary to choose a good date for guo da Li but it seems like you can only do it on 21st may, hence nothing much you can choose . Most couples they will fly over to bride's country to give the guo da Li gifts, and not wait for them to come over.

The tong Shu for 2014 will only be out Aug/sept 2013, hence if you looking at only general dates, you can only choose after it is out. The only way now is using bazi to select. Hope this helps

No. The tong Shu dates r generic dates for mass consumption, not accurate. It is something like if you are Taurus or born in Rat yr and the almanac tell you that this year Taurus or Rat is good, does it mean whole world all the rats or Taurus are good? We know it is not. Bazi dates r specific to individual and overrides tong Shu, more accurate. tong Shu dates no need find anyone calculate, u can probably download some apps or check online :) hope this helps

Ok last question from me. Will we have to use our parents' bazi as well? Or just the couple will suffice? There are concerns that the dates based on just our bazi may clash with our parents' zodiac..

And also, could you share with us how much it is to consult you on the dates?

wow, i am so glad that there is someone really dedicated to answer and help the couples for finding good dates. May I ask, why do groom and bride's parents ba zi is needed? Is it to check for 'po yue'? Or what is that for? So I could actually look onto it too..

Also, normally, customary + rom should be deemed as the wedding date, am I right? It doesn't matter if the wedding dinner is another date since finding a weekend good dates may not be as easy..

For start of renovation, you only need an auspicious date and time selected acccording to the house direction and bazi of all occupants (not the general tong shu dates as that is as good as none as the house direction is not taken into consideration) to start drilling or hacking. No special processes required. Praying etc is up to individual religion, nothing to do with Feng Shui

Only parents zodiac signs, not the entire bazi.

Of course if possible, everything should fall on a good date. If really no choice, then the impt ones will be the ROM/tea ceremony. Banquet itself can be on another date. (although i still prefer all on a good date if possible as there is no harm to do so)

Thanks for the advice. 2/11 was also one of our choice but the banquet we are looking at was full.
We are relooking at date and will like to find out if 04/11 a general good date as well?

Hi Master Tong,

I remember people saying couples should not meet 1 day before their wedding day. May I know why is this so?

Is it still important for couples to follow this? I have register my marriage with ROM and was told to collect the marriage certificate 1 day before our wedding and appointment could not be changed.

If it is still important, is there anything we should do. Thank you.
 
Hi Master Tong, is it really not advisable for someone born in the year of the Rat to get married in 2014? Wife - Rat'84, Husband - Dog'82

This is not important now and most couples don't follow this anymore. So you can go ahead to collect the rom cert, won't affect anything

Other good weekend in July is 7/7. Rest of the good weekends in July clashes to your or parents
