Yes no problem for them...but of course some very pantang ones prefer not to go as well (esp parents)

That day is a general tong shu good date for wedding. But clash Dragon. So make sure none of ur parents are parents will do
* Note that tong shu dates are general dates only. Both your bazi (birthday & time of birth) are not taken into considearion yet. A good date in the tong shu can still be deemed as inauspicious if the date and both your bazi are not compatible *

No such thing as widow year cannot get married. If yes, all hotels should be vacant for 2013, but on the other hand, mostly full already. So long as your zodiac don't clash that yr will do.
8/12 and 8/1 are general good dates for wedding. U can use those 2 dates if you are looking at general dates only.

Don't worry abt the tong Shu. It is inaccurate. If a feng shui master select for you the date using both your bazi, that date overrides the tong Shu dates.

2013 is a snake year. And 6th sept is a Pig day. And snake and pig clashes, which is why that day is a bad day. When you open the tong Shu it is a Po Ri. Whichever method you use, that day is a bad day. I can't comment on how he derived this date though. Hope this helps.

If you want to be very accurate, usually it will be 100days before and after your wedding, cannot attend red n white events. This is our Chinese belief, so no way to measure right or wrong. But best to follow since wedding is once in a life time event
