Hi all,

I need a favour for all those bride to be in 2006 or early 2007.

I need about 5 empty bottles of duty paid Martell VSOP. I believe that hotel will return you the empty bottles after the dinner so i guess you will throw away those bottles right?

So can you sell those empty bottles to me at $5 per bottles?

the duty paid one will be the 750ml bottles and not the duty free on which is 1 litre.

so anyone willing to sell the empty bottles, you can sms me at 91936911 or email me at [email protected]

Hi, We just had our wedding at MM on 9th Nov '06. It was a little less than we expected. We were there for our rehearsal at 5.30pm and nothing was set up as they just finish a seminar at 5.15pm....

So we wasted time waiting to do our rehersal and we were very late for our make up. If you are planning your banquet, please emphasis on the service level - its really terrible... The serving staff were not attentive and half the guest on the same table received their food only after the other half guests were almost half-way thru the same dish...and the fish has heavy mud smell... otherwise than that the other dishes were all right. Our guests really like the prawns and the ice cream sago. Alas!!! And we lost a digital camera and a newly bought precious moments display wedding figurine at the reception... So sad!

The only pleasing things are that we have a fantastic banquet sales, Steven, whom is really responsive and accomodating. And the banquet operations mgr, Dan, are really attentive to us and are in control of the situation. The best part is the serving staff serving the first dish. They did a little dance and twirl and was really nice and serve as a nice surprise both to us and our guests....

Hi Matthias, sorry to hear about that, we were actually thinking of holding our dinner at MM, but i think will tink twice now..
Btw, does anybody knows what are the perks to look for before signing up with them?

Hi JK,

You can ask for two barrels of beer, one bridal suite and one delux roon for day use for coordinators. Signature books, ang pao box, 100% free food tasting for 10 pax, wedding favors - very cute bears.... tatz about all we can recall...Unfortunately for MM, they are really flexible with the above except for their 'poor' service level.

thats nice.. u managed to get 2 barrels of beer.. i only got 1.. who was ur coordinator matthias?

ME~ you have 100% free food tasting for 10pax...so good! we only have 50% discount...as the co-ordinator said they didnt give 100% FREE .....she lie?

Dear all,
I need an advice. My wedding is abt a month time and i was told by my co-ordinator to finalise the tables. I hv 22 tables + 2 Reserved. And i was told if i hv open 20 tables on the dinner nite, I still hv to pay 22 tables. Is this true?? Appreciate if there's anyone out there to advise me. Thankx alot

did u finalise 22 tables as the min guaranteed with ur coordinator?

if so, then u need to pay 22 tables regardless of how many tables u opened.

even if u open 18 or 20 or 21 tables also need to minmum pay 22 tables.

when is ur wedding yap?

hi all, just wana grumble a little. wanna hold my AD at MM on Oct 27 2007 as per MIL's wishes, unfortunately, just found out they are fully booked. left with only a few dates in last quater of 2007 (auspicious dates tat is la)...i have to follow old people's wishes n it's driving me nuts coz apparently that date is very popular. now i'm deliberating between Bliss garden @ expo and an alternative date at MM. havne't seen both venue and m not sure if a restaurant can be comparable to a hotel. m pretty "image conscious" yet $$ conscious too!Haha....anyone care to comment? =)

We just had our wedding dinner at the grand ballroom in Marina Mandarin last weekend and we were very pleased with their service! General feedback from our guests was good, not forgetting the great food & ambience, too! The bridal suite was spacious & so cosy that we couldn't bear to check out after the 2nd night. :p Anyway, our pre-dinner worries were unfounded and we are glad that we chose Marina Mandarin. So, wedding couples who are going to have your dinner there, be rest-assured that you are in good hands. Just relax and enjoy the night, the banquet manager will guide you along on what to do.

Don't worry about not getting to eat your food during the banquet, they will specially deliver your food and cake to your room after your dinner in the comfort of your bridal suite.

Just be sure to advise your guests on parking, as parking can be a problem when it is a popular auspicious date like ours. The carpark is shared with Oriental hotel, Pan Pacific hotel & Marina Square. So, they can be late for your dinner when they are held up by traffic & looking for a lot. One of our guests even had to practically beg for valet parking. So, advise them to come early.

Did you upgrade your bridal suite to the premier suite thats sea facing? (the one with the sliding doors and single toilet)

by the way, who was your banquet manager in charge for the night? =)

hi...i also considering Vanda ballroom...met up with wendy...hubby & i very happy with her...she very friendly & try to accomodate to wat we need....
janice.. not sure if you are meeting the same Wendy as me....my coordinator is Wendy Lou....she is rather flexi....
initally i considering Goodwood park hotel...but GWP coordinators attitude rather cocky...i was very upset with them....

I think i have to act fast. Went to see Master for good dates yesterday.. And we don't have much choices.

Need to confirm a venue before it's al taken.. Otherwise, I might have to look into country clubs or restaurant.

Hope I can get more perks for MM.

And any idea how long i can hold the date that I booked for?

I only manage to get free waiver of wine....
extra stay in deluxe room the next day if u intend to give up the helpers' room..
the min deposit is $3000..
tentative booking is for 2 weeks..

However, I'm kinda of afriad that attendance will be low cos it's Holiday mood for the guest and most will be looking forward to counting down to 2008 rather than attending my dinner.. HOW??

for me I think if u tell them earlier they will make an effort to go.. esp those gd friends and relatives.. count down is the next day.. so should be ok..

Hello ladies! We are considering to sign up with MM but is worried about the consumption of beer as MM do not provide free flow of beer. The best that wendy can help is to throw in another barrel of beer for us. We are planning for 25 table. Can anybody advise whether 60litre (180 glasses) of beer will be sufficient for 250 guest? Thanks!!

I think should be ok if u have 250 guests..
and dun forget u have red wine also.. I feel that nowadays not much ppl drink beer.. the latest weddings I went to, most of them drink red wine..

Yeah, wendy is quite acommodating and we both feel very comfortable talking to her. Probably coz our is a weekday, so they are more flexible in giving another barrel of beer. But still not sure whether 2 barrel is enuff..

i'm also a MM bride. they also gave me 1 barrel of beer only, same as JK, mine wedding will be on a wkday.
