Hi Kai Starz, u'd need to do live feed to screen on the projector. Not sure if Oriental has the technology, or u'd need an external service provider. This is definitely something I'm thinking of too. Like the dreamy feel of it. I prefer the long march-in to the L or I layout.
 


reinn, atrium is equally nice.. has a cozy feel.. my food tasting is done at part of the atrium.

i agree on allykat abt live feed.. that will be additional costs.. i know my VG provide such services..
 
just wanna add, we had our dinner at the grand ballroom on the 6th of june. our coordinator is Mark and he is simply fantastic. the service that he provided us is top-notch. the passion in his work is simply inspiring. anyway, we have a lot of comments from the guest that night that the dinner is one of the best, if not the best wedding dinner that they had attended so far. The food is diferent from the norm and it had given all my guest the lasting impression and memories which is just my intentions. i would simply say that though some may think that the price we paid is expensive, but i would say that it's worth much more than what we had paid, total value for money.

initially, we had chosen the grouper instead of the cod fish,however, after tasting the cod fish, we had a consenses among the family members that it was a must-have. the lobster entry as the first dish is fantastic as well. The first dish presentation by the waiters and waitresses is something that i have not seen before, dancing on the stage.

However, one drawback might be the service staff, as most of them are pretty young and working part time. But i believe that ALL of the hotel banquets faced the same issue here.

Credit to my coorinator, Mark Chan, who is always so approachable and understanding.
 
hey alan... i totally agree with you.. what you have said.. all happens in my wedding too.. my guests also commented is one of the best wedding ever attended.

the dancing on stage but is really surprising.. too me is quite funny though.. waiting for my video to come back. I really miss my wedding..

As for the stuff issues.. my personal assistant was a pretty young gal. i find her very professional.. holding my gown, running around with me. my xiong dis were all commenting on her.. haha.. her name is called meifang..

actually plan to have on 21 nov 09 but sandy told mi is alreadi been book by another couple. now still sourcing for another hotel. but i tink not much hotel provide small ballroom.
 
yep i went to view the garden suite but i find tt the ceciling is rather low. i have 2 days in mind but another couple is looking at e same date also.. so sandy told mi have to call up e couple first

Based on my arrangements, my starting time will be ard 1pm and roughly will end around 4 - 4.30pm.

Maybe u might wan to discuss with the hotel coordinator.

Erushi you dont need to confirm the exact no. of tables but you need to have a guage so you can decide on the specfic suite/ballroom to hold your banquet..
 
Hi mintz0309, think garden suite should look good too! So far the few times I've been there, there's always a function there, didn't get to see it. =P It's quite a headache trying to fine a small & nice ballroom right?

Hmm i dont get what you mean abt the stand? you mean the center piece? or the candle stand on the aisle?

Yap! bridal suit got 2 doors.. but my friends and families only notice 1 door.. until the hotel staff pressing the door bell from another door.. haha..
 
reinn, haha.. i also dunno.. the other door is near the wardrobe.. maybe is easier for you to bring your gowns down..

the centerpiece.. my 2 vip tables are red.. the rest are chanpagne roses.. every table will have center piece.. they will remove when the banquet is going to start.

1 more thing to highlight.. if using the grand ballroom, there is a small suite beside the ballroom. Those who are planning to do 2nd makeup for 2nd march-in or change gowns.. can consider bring the gowns down and change there.. is quite big room and pretty comfy. I nv had intention to change there until my friend highlight and urge me to change there.. save time going up to the room. The only disadvantage is toilet.. if want to go toilet, will be using the guest toilets.
 
oh thanks. so every table will be having e same centre piece as the vip table. is just e color of the flower.
I won't be using e grand ballroom dun have so many guest. but will be using e atrium. will remember to ask e coordinator about the toliet and the small suite.. thanks

I'm starting to feel abit like the promoter for Oriental and my coordinator =P Maybe Oriental might want to employ me. Hahaa.

Would it be better if any other of you who wants to contact Oriental email direct to Adeline Goh at [email protected]? I heard she is the administrator, she will distribute the emails to the different wedding coordinators according to sequence. Then you gals can make an appt to view the hotel. But I can still share on my tots of the hotel, food, etc whenever I have the chance to try them out!
 
reinn, every table will have center piece, but not the same.. alternate of taller and shorter version of the center piece.

Nothing else to highlight.. with the team around no need to worry ya..

Hi all BTBs,

I've just booked my wedding with Oriental on the 31st Dec 2009.. =) Tried the food n service during my sister's wedding. It was simply fantastic! Esp the coordinator Mark, his enthusiasm simply make me look forward to my wedding..

I'm now starting to look for my bridal shop, anyone can recommend? hehe.. =)

Hmm.. i feel the card very nice leh.. the picture looks like is a plain card.. but actually there is some embroidery, very classy.. =) my friends commented that the card is very nice, they thought i got it elsewhere.
 


yupz.. i also think the cards are very nice, very elegant looking.... the cards are in metallic colour with embossed floral prints..

i was happily pasting my inserts into the card jus last nite...
