my BS is Bridal Concept.

berry, becos the invite has 3 panels (2 folds), the left n right are both are emboss, text can only be in the centre.. very limited space to write..
I'm using vellum paper with gold hotstamping text.. looks ok with black to me..

i did the hotstamp outside.. oriental's printer - lil'art only have offset printing.. hotel only provide cards n envelopes.. insert we have to print on our own

reinn, u mean the price hor?

Gold / Silver Hotstamping on inserts/cards
---------
english n chinese - $115 for 100 pcs ($80 for stamp, stamping cost $35 for 100)
thereafter each pc = $0.35
---------
english only - $75 for 100 pcs ($50 for stamp, stamping cost $25 for 100)
thereafter each pc = $0.25

vellum paper - 0.50 per piece

thanks waxie. the inserts u glue it on the black card?
berry, maybe we can share the cost of hotstamping if u interested maybe more quality will get discount

yupz.. i glue it to the card.. haha.. vellum inserts harder to glue on becos of it plastic feel.. but a good glue will do the trick..

the cream insert is jus sample for u gals to see..

thank waxie. My HB juz pay for the insert n printing le. Bt without hotstamping izzi ok? LIArt says i cant use vellum insert with black n red card, he say cant c the wording, dun understand y

Hi waxie, which printer did u go to for hotstamping? I'll be collecting my cards soon too.. still thinking which invitation card i should choose.

Hi Jacqueline.. i printed mine at Focal Ad..
wat do u mean by which invitation card to choose? all the cards are the same except for the colours.. i took all 3 colours (red, ivory and black)

HI reinn, i must say we should be very proud of ourself that we are with oriental. I got very good review from my guests like excellent food, extra ordinary wedding, nice ambience, the best ever attended...hope i am not over exaggerating. Most likely i will post it in multiply when the pics are ready..

Maybe you would like to request Cha le as your butler a very detail guy & is always there to solve my problem. C'mon girls Q&A...

Nehoc

Hi nehoc, your butler's name is Cha le? Which ballroom did you hold your dinner? Did you have your solemnization there as well?

Hi nehoc, can share with us your menu? Which particular dishes would you highly recommend? Also, which theme did you choose?

gLadZ/
Yup Cha le. It was held at habourview & pretty nice city view & the banquet @ the main ballroom

Gisele
You just dont miss out on the codfish, hard-boiled sharkfin/chicken soup & crap sauce with buns. Oh ya & the pork ribs also very nice. Go for the dream theme very classy no regret.

Regards

hi all,

i am currently considering to do my wedding luncheon at Oriental, but i have doubts about food being serve during luncheon as some hotels have double standard during luncheon and dinner. Can any kind soul able to share their luncheon experience with Oriental and their perks. I will be greatly thankful

Thanks again in advance

marcus.. i tink u dun need to worry abt the food. tink heard alot of good feedbacks from those brides. however. do drop an email to them or go down to view their ballroom. you will be pleased with their service. trust me

thank Reinn,

Have spoken to them already. As my wedding date is a auspicious date and weekend plus PH, there is a extra premier charges. Oriental luncheon perk quite limited too.

Hi marcus,

Which date had you chosen?

For the perks, its always secondary depending how well u neg even for a Luncheon. But there are not much to expect as compare to a ballroom dinner. Most important thing is their good services and good food.

For most hotel, usually extra charges apply for auspicious date and weekend plus PH.

Hope this helps. Cheers.

marcus which date u choose and which ballroom u choose? is it the garden suite or atrium? i tink they will throw in more perks if u are holding more tables.

Marcus,
Lunch/dinner are still the same chef & recipe. Services will still be the same group of people. For the grand ballroom you need to have min 32 tables. As for perks err hmm...i dont think is nice to discuss here perhaps someone kind enough to PM you. For me given a choice again it still gonna be Oriental.

I have confirm my decision, and i will be holding it at the Oriental, my luncheon will be on 20 sept 2009 (weekend, PH and auspicious date) all in one. They manage to reduce the preimer charge too. thanks everyone for the advice.

Hi marc31kelly,

Which room will you be using? Ballroom or the atrium (ground floor)?

What u meant by premier charges? Please advise. Thanks.

hi kai9,

I am using the ballroom as i need hold 35 tables.

premier charge is for wedding luncheon/ dinner that happens to fall on an auspicious date.

But some hotel may charge extra money per table or limit your dinner package selection eg, you only can select dinner package that range from $1k per table and above, even though the hotel has packages which are $800-$900 per table. Different hotel have different practice. i hope this help.
