Hi Jade, yup... I be holding my yea ceremony before the dinner...
Simon has booked a meeting room for me... will do the necessary arrangements and provide tea and tea set... so I just got to go there and get them to sit.... haha....
 
What's the difference between the banquet room and function room? Function can hold more tables so I assume it is bigger than banquet? But Function is cheaper also. Anyone can clarify? Thanks!
 
Hi Sherlin,

The banquet room is on the 10 floor, with high ceiling, private reception, grander look and nice zen lightings.

The function room is low ceiling and look ordinary. There is a great difference in price.

mine is a wedding lunch..so i intend to hold it after the lunch..cos there might not be time to hold before the event..where can i hold it? where is the function room that simon has arranged for you?

Hi All,

Can anyone advise how was the standard of the food served during the actual day? I had my food tasting almost a month ago but what's worried me most is the fish as during my food tasting I find that the fish meat is very very tough. Already alert to Mr Zul. But looks like not much feed back or assurance from him about our comments on some other dish. My actual day is round the corner. Can anyone advise?

wedding favours wise my coordinator also din get back to me.. think they are quite shorthanded recently... when i went down for food tasting, din even see my banquet manager, was some other guy there...

Yup, she just joined M hotel not long ago, but she's very helpful and patient with my umpteen requests so far.. hehe..

Tt time I asked Colette when will we be collecting the invites, she said shld be during food tasting. So whitehooves and peko, think you girls shld check with ur coordinator on this.. also asked them to give u their printer's contact, so u can send ur invites for printing thereafter..
 
me oso change my dessert to yam paste.. but my food tasting will be next yr after new yr...
hope everything goes well...

my wedding coordinator is Simon... He is patient and prompt to reply email..
 
thanks ladies for ur responses on colette...hope everything will go ok with colette...cos i booked thru' Adrian, who was super patient &amp; helpful with our requests...and after dat our case had to be passed onto Colette after paying the deposit..guess maybe that's the way the hotel does their business...

Adrian did say that we can collect our invitation cards at the food tasting.

but does anyone know when do we confirm the favours? we were told that it will be 1 month before...but what if there is no stock?!..wouldn't 1 month be too short a lead time for the hotel to re-stock?
 
yes, they will take 2009 bookings, based on the current rates. heard they maybe having an open house in Nov 07...you can try ur luck then..
 
function room something like L-shape, ceiling is half the height of banquet suite... think the LCD screen is slightly smaller than the one at banquet suite as well...
the reception area feels quite exclusive as well though... staircase leading up to level 2 will be decorated with function room chosen theme as well..

Anyhow do you know if the lift can lead up to function room or must walk up one? and also LCD screen where is it located?
 
think so can lah... the lift lobby is where the rception is... the LCD screen is behind the stage... like a backdrop like that... fixed one, cannot move... for function room, the stage looks quite small... altho i think is same size as the banquet suite one.. in d end, i took banquet suite.. capacity is same for both, but price vv big difference.. feeling also vv different...
 
Hi, check with you all.. how long before the AD will you all arrange to tie down with the hotel what will happen during the actual banquet and test up the sound system and projector?

the menu for the 2 rooms are different.. we were deciding between banquet suite n function room, settled for banquet suite instead... cos for our no. of tabels, FR feels quite small..

it was a tough decision, but we felt more comfortable in d banquet suite... heh.
 


Thank you Soyabeans, anyhow when is ur AD? mine is in DEC... still got quite a while more to go. so at least hotel and bridal shop settle... jus left the AD photographer...
