ya i would have taken function room for weekend too becos the date is taken for the function room... hence i took e banquet suite since it cost less than 800 nett.. so worth it

don't quite get you. u mean u book the banquet suite on weekend at the price of $798 nett per table?? that's the price of the wkday price rite....cos understand fm the open house the deal for weekend is only $888 nett of the total bill that's all.

however u notice there has a bridal company sattine bridal couture? Upon signing the bridal package entite me to book the banquet suite on weekend at a wkday price.. but the $888 will be invalid... but it worth it becos i hav full 32 tables that discounted me 3.2k.. which means like it as good as i got the bridal package for free which worth $3388..

oh.. the $100 off per table is only if you sign up the wedding package as well??

wow... free nite extension?? i was trying to push for that but they never give...

Anyway, i think armando deal much better... $100 off every table plus 1 extra nite stay....
 
oh i got the extra nite stay becos i signed up with the solemisation lunch with them... it already comes with a day room but initially i want to exchange for wedding invitation for my lunch as well as more carpark passes for lunch.. but Anna convert for me for one more nite anyway...plus those i mentioned on top...
 
Hi Mindy.. oh I have the introduction email from Simon, I suppose he will be my co-ordinater too.. I have yet to meet him yet, i am meeting him on 14 Aug to sign the contract.. I haven meet him yet..probably update you after that

I'm having my food tasting this Fri. Anyone done theirs already?

Do we ask for the hotel's official wine supplier from the Banquet Manager or our coordinator?
 
my SO emailed simon and learned that Zul will be our co-ordinator....
I was in another forum and saw a story of M hotel... freak me out... going to print it out when I go there to sign the contract....
Make sure that it does not happen to me.... or not, base on my SO character, he will make things really ugly....
 
I met Simon and he really put me off. Therefore, I'm not going to sign with M Hotel.

When we met him, he show us the banquet suite and function rooms.
After that he bring us down to the hotel lobby and pass us the wedding package booklet and say good bye and say if anything we need, email him.

He did not even sit down and show us the wedding cards, favours,...etc.
 
I been to M hotel last night to sign the contract.. I sneaked to the Banquet Suite but it is very messy.. Completely different from what i have seen during the open show... hmm the renovation for enlarging the reception are not done yet... But we are pleased to have J bar as my solemisation venue... looks spacious and nice.. I requested from Simon for the discount for the buffet dinner at Cafe 2000 but he signed us in for free... but the food so-so only...

I have been to a few other hotels and they normally will sit down and go thru and explain everything to you.
 
hmm... just to share my own experience... I signed up with Anna. She was quite friendly and even signed us in for a buffet after we finished the transaction.
A few days later, I requested for a function room to hold my tea ceremony but Anna couldn't confirm with me.
Then Simon emailed us regarding the contract, SO took the opportunity to ask him and he agreed.
So, just before the reception I will have a room for my tea ceremony as I had requested.
Have yet to sign the contract, pending to go this saturday. So far, I din have much to complain but I did tell them that when I went to a friend's wedding early this year, the service crew was really not good.
I will explain my friend's situation again to them and ask Zul for help that it will not happen at my own wedding.

I'm new to this forum and am quite interested in M Hotel. Which coordinator is better? Zul or Simon ? Will be meeting up with them this week. Come across some post which posted bad comments abt Simon so i'm a bit worried.

hi pple,

i did my food tasting last Fri. It went very well! the food was great & the waitress who served us was very good.

we were very impressed with her service that we even gave her a tip after that.

my coordinator is Zul and he's good/professional but i'm just a little upset that he did not inform me he was on reservist during my food tasting cuz he was suppose to make arrangement to pass me the invite card.

but luckily, i managed to get hold of simon, who was very prompt in attending to my requests.
 
i think they have min 20 for wkdays and 25 for wkends.. maybe u can call them up and ask them.. their wedding show just ended last mth... not quite sure of when will be the next one..
 
Yeap, min 20 for weekdays and 25 for weekends. Was reading thru the earlier threads, I and my FH actually met up with Simon, and we both think he's not that bad either, the only setback was that he's a little slow in response when he's got lots of wedding to handle there.

However, we signed up with Traders instead as we only have about 16 tables.

wow.. next sept will be too long already cos i'm having mine in june08.. Most prob will be taking up M Hotel but hope that 20 tables will not be too weird looking in the function room.

maybe you can make an appt with either Simon or Zul to view the function room.

Taking in mind, the Function Room is P-shaped in a way. But I think it shouldn't look weird with 20 tables.

Thanks for the comments. Will yours be held in the function or the banquet suite ? I will prefer function because of the straight march in. My FH doesnt feels comfortable with the march in at the banquet room.
