Hi all,
Just to share.. I attended a wedding at M hotel yesterday... N for a couple of tables, service was bad.. Waiter was nowhere to be seen..tea/drinks are always not refilled even at toasting time.. and worst still... a waiter smash a couple of bowls almost into one of my colleague...
there was at least 3 occurence of breakages right from at the reception ...
not too sure if it's because there are many inexperience waiters around.. but BTB, u might want to alert the coordinator to take notice of this...

yah.. I also felt that it was just coincidence... But thought it will be nice to let BTB knows so that they can 'hint' to the coordinator beforehand..

no, i hv not collected my invites yet. I will b collecting on the day i hv my food tasting.
Hv u hv ur food tasting? I m wondering did any1 who hv their food tasting(for function rm menu) change the dishes b4 the food tasting? Cos i see the function rm menu, and some of the dishes I dun like and tot of changing to hv other dishes tasted during the food tasting.

Kittyrain - u can either change the dish before or after the food tasting. I've changed my dishes before food tasting. Let your coordinator know early, cos the kitchen will need to buy the materials.

The food tasting is good. we talked to the chef. He is pro and also very willing to take comments from us. We did not hv much comment for the tasting as we r ok with it, oni wan change one of the item from the cold plate and oso change the clams to mushrooms for the veggie items. We hv to talk to Aaron again on this. We oso met up with the Banquet mgr(David), he oso very nice and service is good oso. I did tell him that we emphasize all on the service on the actual day, he told me that they will try 2 arrange 1 staff to 1 table if not will b 1 staff to 2 tables.

for the changing of the clams to mushroom no extra charge according to the chef but we hv to check with Aaron again next when he is back to office and the other items we wan 2 change the octupus on the colsd plate to duck meat that we oso hv 2 check with Aaron. Aaron is on course these 2 days.

I'm back fm my wedding. The banquet in-charge is very good and attentive to us. Bridal suite was nice and cosy! Simply love it!!
As for food and service that night, we have got some positive and negative feedback. Some said food was nice, some said not so nice for some dishes. As for service, it purely came from the waiter and waitress, guess can't help much, cos they were temp staff or trainees.
Overall, i enjoyed myself very much that day! Loved the bubble theme for the fxn room!

You can find their package in this website. actually there isn't very much other things u can try bargain with them cos they have already a very comprehensive package with almost everything they can thrown in already inside. so most likely u can only ask a bit of this n that.

I intend to have my wedding dinner at M Hotel too.But I got a bad feedback from my frz that she found "item" in her sharkfin soup.Which I am worry abt that.Plus they got charges of LCD projector usage, wonder does any1 manage to waive the item? Is the food and svc overall good?

my gf found scrub metal in her sharkfin..which make her so angry..as she attend her frz's wedding and found it..which Aaron got gv her compensate of red wine...
Check with all BTB...will u all worry that loose alot when hving banquet at Hotel?..
As compare to restaurant i know will loose too..but wonder hotel will it be worse?

it depends on how much is your per table if you hv it in a hotel and oso roughly how much ur relatives will give you.
I feel that as long as if your per table is not more that $800, i think shld b ok even lose, mayb oso nt alot or even likely to breakeven.
Pluz M-hotel perks very good cos got free flow beer & waive corkage for wine, I feel that these r the areas that will hv 2 pay alot if ur guest drinks alot.
