We aim to help out as & when we can in areas we can accommodate to those in needs ...

Those who have ideas or places who needs help can also come share share ...

Ok lah, back to the charity thing, maybe we can look into the area first. Which part of SG are you're staying at? Then easier to narrow down to the where we can help. ah bo how huh?
 
I love to join but if I can't make it on all trips, can I do 'admin' job huh?? Like helping to source for info and so forth.

will you all consider home for the disabled or down syndrome association? i tink we can factor them in also...but im not sure wat the others tink..

ehh... I personally prefer the old folks... but up to you all lah.

Wah... you all bring your boy ah, I don't have yet, can I bring my lao boy --> HTB?? hehehe... Good for kids learning but not sure suitable or not. Might want to skip it the first round then you all go check out first. If good good, can bring along the next time.

Hi all,

Wanna join volunteer service in lions befriender organisation? Weekly home visits to the elderly and chat to them and to ensure they are well taken care of by themselves.

I have join this volunteer service for 6 months and i find it very fruitful experience and meaningful.

Hi Skylar,

You will need to attend a briefing lesson and they will ask you to fill up a form to see whether you are interested to join for the volunteer service and which district would you prefer and is currently in need of befrienders. From the form, you can also indicate the days that you are available for the home visits.

I am the recruiting committee for this organisations and if you guys are interested do let me know ;)
 
Wow... long time no come in liao and skylar is a changed person woh... Will skylar get your ninja squad to help too? If they are coming along, please ask them to transform themselves if not they will scare the elderly/disabled away.

I dun mind doing volunteering work too if I can be of help.
 
ok...it was just my own experience lah

I have participated in 2 projects organised by the Lions.

But quite disappointed with the arrangements...very disorganised, esp. for the 2nd one that I attended. Reached there on time, and yet they made the volunteers waited for so long.

the prob is that we will not know when we can make it really thus we try not to be to fix in the time or date etc.. if your committee allows this then it will suit us fine..

The Food from the Heart looks interesting with lotsa programs. I dun mind if there are kakis. But if distribute bread then need to have own transport right? Infamiliarity with Singapore roads will be a problem or not ah?
