I have received some Pm from the kind souls who are willing to volunteer...

with special thanks to Peace! She really called up some homes &amp; gave me feedbacks on what they need etc..

<font color="0000ff">Sad to say but most of the homes/organizations whom I have gotten in contact with all come back to me with more or less 1 response.. THE SWINE FLU...</font>

We regret to inform you that during this period of swine flu that is spreading rapidly throughout the world and in Asia, the Nursing Home has taken precaution to suspend all activities which includes social visits by schools and organizations/ volunteer groups to prevent the spread of H1N1 virus infection to our residents and staff.
We have also restricted the visits of our residents’ families.

We do not know when this swine flu will subside but we definitely hope that your group can come and visit our folks when this flu epidemic is over.

IS there any volunteer work for working with children? I am keen in extending my share of reach to abused children, sick children.

I can't speak dialects very well, so if want to work with old folks, I am worried tt I might ended up offending them with my inability to communicate with them.

My friend kena one time. Asked an old woman why she stayed at the home and suddenly, the old woman started to cry. That question brought back very bad memories lah. We were so stunned and didn't know what to do. The caretaker there had to quickily wheeled the woman away. Very malu lol.

M: WHAT?!?! But there are only about 10 of us. We cannot managed so many of them. Can we do by groups?
