JP & Date of Marriage


You can file notice of marriage as early as 3 months before your solemnisation, latest 21 days prior. So in your case you can file as early as August, and latest 21 days before your wedding.

I'm getting married June 2014. :)
 
Remember to find your JP before you do your filing as the license no. is required. :)

License no is needed when filing? Oh no! We yet to find a JP. Those we look up for either unavailable, else staying in the west side. We are looking at the eastside. Any recommendation?

msyeo, any style yore looking for? I was recommended Mr Alex Tan for being a non-religious, can speak both mandarin and English and not that long winded kind of speech.

yup you need to key in the license no. when you submit your e-filing. My JP was Mr Chia Ti Yu. I find him quite okay... very nice guy. :)
 
Oh yes, I need a non-religious and can speak both English & Mandarin. My solemnization will be held just before the dinner, so a short and simple one would be nice :)

i'm not sure if he's really very religious. he did ask if we would like any sharing on marriage life based on buddhism teachings. of course if you're not comfortable, you can choose not to have it.
