maha u shd get sutha for ur bridal henna. she is really good. i went for trial with her cos i have pirspiring hands n history of getting light colors whenever i had my henna on. she is really good henna artist as u can see from her henna blog most of the designs kind of intrigate and personally i like all hers' peacock. so cute!! plus the color that turn out for me was dark maroon. i was jumping up n down.. 
cos that was my 1st time in my life that i had tat kind of color in my hands. all my family members who came on my mehendi nite like her alot. she is so easy going and friendly. if u want to book her, pls do it asap.

im still looking for sumone who charges a reasonalble amt to do my bridal make-p, hair and tie sair for my temple wedding...all are charging 200-400 bucks which is way 2 expensive for a 30 mins ceremony....has anyone gone for personal dressing..meaig if u say personal dressig to the MAU they will still do make up but simple.........and its a abt 100+ bucks.....my hair also simple, no rakodi and all...jus like how jothika the actress did 4 her wedding........pls recommend if u gals know anyone.....

I was at little india, and i was looking for costume jewelleries. Went to V2 creations, i must say they have great stuff, BUT i found them abit pricy. mY simple bangle set for only my ROM costs $60. and i stress on the word SIMPLE.
Then i ask abt the wedding sets that comes with everything lah, and the price for those STARTS at $600. and u must puchase like the FULL set. i already have choker and long chain, don see why i need extra, but she said cannot, must buy full set!! HAIZ.....
So i went walking and saw this shop.... its called SAM brothers, 159 dunlop st. At first i thot he would not have much stuff. then i went further in and spoke to the owner. He showed me wonderful sets. And the starting price is from $400 only. Plus if u see any designs u like in the mag, u can bring to him and he'll order it for u. and u dont HAVE to get the FULL set.
So cool!!

oh yes, and to newbies, there is actually loads of stuff here, but u need to search abit lah. Whne i first joined, i read from like January postings, and there was sooo much stuff the girls shared with numbers and all.

hi angelic. it depends what kind of design u looking for. Her price is quite reasonable a/c to the service. if u look at her pics, u will knw y. personally i feel her designs are unique and intricate. i never seen such designs in my life. as i was v. satisfied with her work tat i gave little bit more that wat we agreed. firstly she disagree but later after everyone's say, she accepted it.
to me, i dont mind paying someone more wen u receive beyond certain level of expectation service. shes quite patient lady as she was with me till the end. im really satisfied with her job. tats y im recommending others tohave her. she's current upcoming artist (guess).

I bought my wedding jewellery set (traditional North Indian design) from a Bombay desginer for 500 plus. It includes everything, right up to anklets. It's very grand and pretty and I thought of selling it for $400 cos I'm not gonna use it anymore. So do get in touch with me if any of you are interested. They are very well kept in velvet bags. I only used them for 1 hrs for my solemnization. [email protected]
I also have flower baskets, wedding bears and a whole lot of wedding stuff if any of you want to buy. All in pristine condition. all the best

Thanks SK... i went to their website ,the pictures look good. Do you know if they have an inhouse MUA and hair stylist as well. Ive been asking my sister to checkout a few studios and she told me that some charge you only for photography and that u'll have to get your own outfit,MUA and hair done elsewhere. It would be good if they have a package which includes everything.Do you know if french bridal has had experience with indian brides?

hi angelic....i dont know if he's william as i also know him as saravanan...my fren engaged him for his daughter's function and i saw his works...quite impressive and it was my hubby's idea to engage his service...as for naren, he was recommended by saravanan...i dont mind as long as they knw each other and can coordinate things....if you want my PG ($70 per roll) and VG ($450 as mine is a church wedding) contacts pls let me knw....naren requires a deposit...i paid him $100....who's yr MUA dear....

Btw, i used Daisy for my church wedding and dinner. Felt Make-up was a bit thick for the day, but dinner was good. If you are planning to get Creative - make sure its Daisy that attends to you and not any of her assistants. Personally think make-up is very subjective. What's good for one person may not be good for another. Not sure if you read some earlier posts - i used Rupini for temple wedding, but she gave me sub-standard service, which is why last minute i went to Daisy. So do your trials early and spell out exactly what you want. Cheers!

Pls pls...i stress pls be very clear with him on cost and when u want ur pictures.
I may have briefly mentioned y i never recommend him but i'd like to stress again.
My wedding was in April and after promising to give us the pixs within a month we didnt hear from him. Then it became give me two weeks...then two weeks later, i didnt call neither did he call...third week i called and he says he been very busy...he needs two more weeks..this went on until it was three months and i gave him an ultimatum. I told him i want my photos in 10days. I also told him i do not want it to be a rush job. When Friday came (day i was suppose to collect the pix), i called him, he said he needed to check how many pix i wanted to develop. I got very angry...told him you shld hv checked tis earlier and not on the day u suppose to gimme the pix. He says tat i hv so many rolls....he took 53 rolls when we agreed on 24rolls for the whole wedding. It is his job to control the shoots (if its 5-10 rolls more, i cld still accept) but he took so many random pictures tat like i mentioned i prefered the few great shots taken by frens from their personal cameras. My frens had better angles then him being a professional. I was very dissapointed. His pictures r clear but so random and all are with the crowd...non tat r close up unless those tat we specially went to a corner and took. No candid close ups.
Very very dissapointed.

We had no other option but agreed to print 33rolls instead of the agreed 24rolls and paid for the 33rolls.

I hate this guy. No moral or ethics.

I've to add the photographer i used for my engagement was different cos William Saravanan was not available was excellent.
We got our photos in less than a month. His name is BALDEV and we used him for two events. Have been recommending him to many frens.
Dun have his number off hand but if you need his contact pls let me know.
He can even prepare slide shows.

After reading all the reviews here,very worriedly,I went for trial with Rani from jurong for my traditional engagment..it turned out not bad...actually she was very patient in asking me what i wanted and did accordingly...in fact she let me try a few different type of eye make up and asked me which one i preferred.....also,after getting all this tips from this forum...i told her not too heavy etc..and she did exactly as she was told..her eye make up was very nice as well...smokey eyes...she told me that for engagement day, my makeup would be heavier as for the trial she did it lighter....but i told her i would prefer it lighter and she said she will keep to it...so if u gals have certain preferences and want her to do it, i think she is really not that bad.....u just got to let her know ..she is flexible about it..

Hi Piggy, wow you are making me scared now. I think we only told him we wanted 7-10 rolls since we had the church wedding pics as well. I cant believe he made you pay extra for soft copy, shouldnt be. I am confused though - why should he hold you to ransom to the number of rolls? He's using digital camera wat, he can delete anytime
Hey all..wow...alot of stories...alot of things goin on..am so outa touch..my wedding is less than 3mths away and i havent done anything! i havent even gotten my Reception outfit or done any make-up trials! Havent even paid deposit for my venue and reception is on dec 1st..am getting married in a place i have never been to before and doubt i am gonna get a chance to see the card even! Feel so lost...and I am such a procastinator..sorry..just venting... Am going to go with Bubbly from Lookz for my photoshoot...hope it turns out well..have seen her work..looks rather good..so keeping fingers crossed...
