How to undertand our partner better?

Most of the time, we hear guys saying "women are hard to understand"... Actually, its vice versa. likewise, women always complain our guys don't listen to what we are talking...but guys always say " i got listen ah"... End up girls get more frustrated.

During a communication course during training at work, trainer explain that there are 3 level of listening..1. Hear 2. Listening 3. Active listening. The difference between 3 to 1&2 is that, he explained no.3 is comes with emotion involved. That is to say.... A person who tell u this & that, at the end of the day, maybe he or she is not searching for the solution to her problem...but rather the person is looking for emotional support.

Do you agree? Although this course is on workplace communication, it do prompts me to think the way we communicate with our love ones...when we talk to our hubby,tell them our problem..end up, it will become an arguement...are we really looking for emotional support that comes from his heart,rather than solution to the problem...?.

I agree, most ppl just need a listening ear and not a solution. If we could listen to our partners, why do they need to seek solace outside?

There's only communication when we listen, understand and not judge, somehow when we don't flare up at our friends, why do we flare at closed ones and hurt them with the awful words?

Be patience, don't take things too seriously and with the right sense of humour, we can be straight to the point and tackle the issues.

Im a person who doesn't believe that saying angry words will solve issues.
