Hi Cannes,
I have already confirm the details of my contract with Rachel and I'm going to sign up with hilton on the day of the showcase. Mine is also a weekdays and its in Dec 2010 but I decided to book early because the perks are really attractive. I shortlisted oriental, M hotel and orchard hotel. I like Oriental the most but is far over my budget.I also think Hilton has very nice theme and ballroom too. Didn't manage to hit the number of table for grand ballroom so I will be taking the Vista Room only. I thought per table is 798 nett why is it yours is 820 ? Did you add on anything else? Or did I miss out any hidden cost ?

Hi ladies, wow Hilton sounds like a good place : ) May I know the min. no. of tables for the Grand Ballroom (or do they have a few?) Havent been there, but reading the raves u girls seem v happy with the preparations so far! : ) Hope to get some guidance, thanks so much!!!
happy.gif

hi ladies, thanks for ur help!!! I'm keen on going down to their Wedding Show this Sat to check it out! i'm writing to them to ask for menu and all, any newbies needs can lemme noe
happy.gif
i can send : )

hey crystal_bella, thanks for the info! who did u speak with? You tried to bargain a few tables down like 2 or 3, or for about 5? I read that the food tasting is only for 6 pax!

hello all.. anyone can help me wif the difference between the 2 dishes in the devotion menu?

1) Traditional Cantonese Style Steamed Live Atlantic Cod Fillet VS Steamed Live Atlantic Cod Fillet in Superior Soya Sauce with Seasonal Vegetables

2) Zhenjiang Pork Ribs VS Deep-Fried Spare Ribs with Yellow Cream Sauce

Thanks
happy.gif

emily> oh really? I have 35+2 tables on Sat.. Maybe it's new rule...

Lisa Mmm> u can easily bargain food tasting for 10.. should be no problem
happy.gif

chercher> here are my explanations
(1) not able to advise u as we took the Garoupa as our parents are very traditional..so the fish must have head and tail...
happy.gif

(2) zhenjiang pork ribs is cooked with zhenjiang vinegar
happy.gif
will appeal to most ppl... the deep-fried spare ribs with cream sauce may not appeal to those folks who dun like cream
happy.gif

missysee> we are having 35+2 on a Sunday
happy.gif

saggie>> thanks thanks... i oso preferred the zhengjiang de.. heehee..
happy.gif

all> if anyone happens to know the diff between the 2 fish.. let me know ya
happy.gif

thanks freegoer, missysee
happy.gif
my fingers crossed that they'll let me bargain it to 10 pax
happy.gif

chercher: think saggiegirl's right, the zhenjiang vinegar shld whet their appetites

chercher:
I had Traditional Cantonese Style Steamed Live Atlantic Cod Fillet for food-tasting and was really good! Did not choose the latter as I am not too keen on vegetables.
For Pork Ribs, I had Deep-Fried Spare Ribs with Yellow Cream Sauce and even though they mention deep-fried, it's tasted braised, very yummy. The yellow cream sauce is very unique (self-mixed with butter & cream by the chefs).

my sisterin law could bargain to 10 last time but then she said coordinator said its bec its non-special date. those special red hot dates will be harder to bargain too much

hi heal > the number of people for food tasting can be arrange to 10 pax and if there is some problem, hilton coordinator is nice enough to accomodate. For example, my mother in law to be , had a eye operation and could not take meat dishes, so june arrange a five course vegetarian meal for her, we are very pleased with her.

besides, discussion with them concerning perks must be in cordial manner. June also increase my wedding cards and carpark coupon for my AD.

yup, agree with bubbless. My food tasting was arranged from 6 paxs to 10 paxs too. U can discuss with them as they are friendly ppl. Dun worry ya = )

I have sign up with hilton today for next year Dec package. Although is still quite long time, I am happy at least the venue is settle !

hey saggiegirl, bubblesss, and all ladies reading this...went for their show today...all of them were very helpful! the bridal suite was q. roomy! : ) the food was great, too. e waiters/waitresses keep trying to stuff me n fiance with food, lol, so generous! :D managed to neg for 10 pax tasting and will be signing up within the next 7 days.
happy.gif
so happy! but wow, the carpark rates there are not the cheapest around eh? will neg for more carpark coupons if poss!!

Thanks Saggie Girl !

Lisa Mmm, Strongly agree I was at the show yesterday as well. The coordinators, waiters and waitresses are really very friendly. The desert was very nice too ! =)

i also signed up ytd and am a happy hilton bride to be!
the food was yummy! quite a nice idea to serve items from the new menu for testing.. the yam paste is yummy and so is the squid ink noodles!

hihi.. i missed the wedding show by just a bit.
sad.gif
hilton is one of my top choices now because all the other hotels are not available on the dates i want... does anyone have any pictures of the grand ballroom with set up to share? i only saw june's portfolio and its abit hard to visualise..

thanks girlies..

*stressed btb*

thanks bubbles and freegoer, i saw the ballroom but it was completely empty.. so i found it hard to visualise the set-up and march in. especially with the pillars and also cos it's gonna be an L-shape march in if I need like 42 tables..

are u gals also taking up both sides of the ballroom? anyone manage to see the set up?

kinokino> me and freegoer taking abt 35 +2 tables on our AD on 6/12/09
happy.gif
we are also taking the L-shaped march-in
happy.gif

u can ask June to show u the sample set up/floor plan
happy.gif

hi kino, u can email june or rachel or pansy, whether there is any wedding hold in hilton, then you go and see the setup. U wan to drop by my AD on 22 nov 09, i am using the vista room and we choose the crimson theme ( black and red )
happy.gif
