Hey Eve,

Thankies for sharing the beautiful pictures! Guess what, I also had the polaroid idea! But no one seems to do it, so I was a little hestitant. I did it for my 21st birthday party. I took photos with my friends and pasted it on a Thank you card and gave it to them and they really loved it! The angels march in idea is really sweet and cool!!! Btw, is the performance by the band included in the package?

Do u think the Black Theme looks GD in Hibiscus Rm ??

Did yr coordinator give u idea on Wat Theme 2 use 4 Hibiscus Rm ??

Polariod is a GD Idea .Btw who help u take Photos 4 the Guests using the Polariod ??

i am not sure if the black theme look good. i guess it depends on what u like!

my hubby doesn't like the black theme, hhee so choose the french vanilla instead.. his concern was that the room will be dark with the black theme.. but i guess can be remedy with lighting.

i choose the theme i want, after looking at some set up of the ballroom.. ehhee my coordinator did say tall glass look good on the VIP table.

i have 2 frens who helped take the polariod. if u want, i can send u my AD programme. it has the duties list. hahahaa

the quartet is my own lobang. it is $1000 for 2 sets. quite affordable...

married life is great! i miss the wedding now~ hehe

Thanks for the link.

I am also interested in having the polarid during my wedding. However, one of my concern is that the reception queue will be too long with that and the film will cost quite alot of the money. Any advice on it and the number of films you use.

my AD photographer is Jaki Ke from O studio...
hmm 2 set is 1.5 hrs... if u like maybe u can play during the reception only? take one set only.. they are my fren's fren..

i have 2 cameras, so it was quite ok... can take the pictures anywhere, not necessary at the reception area... get ur photographer to move around... have more pens at the reception area and assign pple to stick the photo onto the card or book... the reception table quite long.. so not really a problem..

i have 200 guests, so i bought 100 films. hehe

hyatt doesn't provide the projector for free. but u can rent from them. i am not sure the charges.

I am a Hyatt bride too. May I ask whether for the serving of dishes, will they change the plate for every dish?

Is there a waiter allocated for every table?

My wedding is less than 3 months away. When do I meet my coordinator to discuss the deco and also to do the food tasting?

i m not sure if they change plate for every dish.. perhaps u check with ur coordinator? they change plate for every dish for the VIP table.

the waitress to table ration is 2:3.. two waitress per 3 tables. but i am not very sure if i remember correctly. do check again?

u can do the food tasting ard 1 mtn before the AD.. i guess u can do the deco first.

i confirmed the theme earlier... then i went for the food tasting nearing my AD..

eve is right. Ratio is 2 waiter to 3 tables.

Btw, how early do you confirm your no. of tables and collect the invites?

i collected the invites abt a mnth before the wedding cos i had the intention to send the invite ard 3 weeks before the AD.

as for the confirmation of the no. of table, i did the day before the AD. hahaa cos got some problem with my MIL tables... it is not advisable to confirm so late actually. perhaps a week before the AD is more ideal..

hi hi, initially i was considering intercon..later i realized that grand hyatt's cheaper and they can accommodate more 'smaller tables'..

i just got the standard package from them.. it seems quite good except that they don't have free flow beer unless you have your AD on special dates which are usually weekdays...

how's the food though?

Not sure have we confirm the theme with our coordinator. But we have decided to use black theme. Like it so much. Heard from my coordinator that there will be a light shining down at the centre of every table. So I think its going to look very nice. We'll be using the stamford ballroom.

Is there anything else that we need to tied up with the hotel side.
 
Hi eve, they allow you to confirm the tables so late? How long did you take to print your inserts or did you print them before you collected the Hyatt cards?

i have basically confirmed with them 20 tables, but as for the extra tables, i only confirmed the day before hahaha..

insert ard 1 week cos i print it in jb! i collected the cards first then print the insert.. i was also printing ribbons to tie my card. so basically i printed ribbons and inserts.. then when the ribbons and insert are ready i tie the cards at home since i already have them.

Hi EvE, thank you very much for sharing your album ! that was a lovely wedding with a really elegant setup ! I was striking out Grand Hyatt from my list cuz hear some negative feedback from attendees. I;m changing my mind ! Which ballroom was yours and what's the feedback on food and service from your guests ?

I have requested for their lunch package but they haven't replied yet ? Who's your coordinator and do you still have the contact no. ?

wow! ahha didn't know the pictures have such effect. may i know what are the negative comments u heard?

my ballroom is hibiscus room. and the theme is french vanilla with orchids. basically i have good comment from the guests on the food and the deco.. service is great too even my muslims frens were impressed cos their halal food is very good!

i enjoyed my stay at the suite.. it is very comfy and beautiful!!! the portion of the food is very big!

my coordinator is zona, but i dun have her personal line. maybe u call the hyatt line and look for her?

are u having a lunch buffet or the sit down type? i attended a lunch buffet before and it wasn't that good. personally i feel that their strenght is in the chinese banquet..

the effect of well shot pics ! maybe i should also ask who your photographer was!

I'll be having sit down chinese luncheon, think buffet could be quite disorganized. I still want the grandeur of a wedding banquet but to do it in the afternoon so that I can optimize the use of the suite ! ha

but I'm going to host only 20-22 tables so dunno if the hotel can cater to it. Was the hotel or ballroom recently renovated ?

relieved to hear no complaints about food and service because that's basically the negative comments i heard about and also that the hotel has too many ballrooms so no exclusivity,,,is that true ?

gotta give zona a call then, two days adn still no reply . . .
 
hi seafaith,

hyatt doesn't provide inserts. the inserts are those slip of papers that contain the information for the guests like venue and timing, the names of ur parents etc. hyatt only provide u the card.

however u can print the information onto the card itself if u don't want the insert.

i printed my inserts in JB and it is quite cheap. 200 inserts for RM80.

yup they cater to 20 tables. i had 22 tables.. but can only choose the smaller ballrooms, like hibiscus or SSR.. the grand ballroom is for bigger function..

the hotel has 5 ballrooms! intially i was worried abt the guests going to the wrong room, cos there are 2 other rooms on the same floor as my room. but luckily onlu my room was used... so it is still quite exclusive!
dun worry abt exclusivity cos the foyer for the reception is all very private...

just check with the coordinator to see if there are any other wedding on the same day as u...

the person selling the palaroid film is my colleague cos his MIL work for fuji... thats why he get cheaper rate.. if u like, i can get for u from him!

just let me know how many u need.

for the quartet, u can get them to play 1 set instead of 2..
