Hi ashes,

for those who booked their package last year like me, i only had 12 bottles of wine..but for this year, the package is 1 bottle of wine per confirmed table..so there is a diff..
 
seriously, i tik can't quite do a fair or direct comparison...cos many of us book at diff times...some during FRF showcase or some during other periods...and also, alot of us r booking diff rooms n have diff no. of tables...

i tik it's best if u want to check wat ur coordinator can give u more or watever, just ask ur coordinator directly....to be fair to them...
 
I agree w Grace. Now FRF prices increase Im sure they will tie up w other freebies which others who booked earlier may not b entitled with. So it would b gd if you can double confirm w ur coordinator on that.
 
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I will nv nv step into that hotel again. my solemisation dinner consist of est 190 guest and guess what not even 1 guest praise the hotel. First no service was given, they did not even ask my guest for drink n mention only soft drink for the night.

if you have vegetarian, please check if they eat garlic or what. cos FRF is the only one that cook wif garlic, dun disppoint ur vegetarian guest.

my wine suppose to be free which i change the free flow beer to wine and it was a "lousy" wine which FRF use it as a house wine. n it taste sour.

mine was buffet, food was not replenish n the foos is raw n they put the soup cup on the carpet n set it on the table, so brides urs is wedding, plates might be on the carpet then place on the table for ur guest.

n most important, staff was rude, when my guest ask for drink, in front of my family they say "cant u wait"

too many too many.. luckily tt was only my solemisation n i was luckily i did not pay for the wedding dinner package.

n if u have complaint, do not do not settle the bill if not u sure wont get back.. we had total 14 complaint yet only gib us a 10% discount n eaten our 500 bucks depsoit which mean fter all this only 500 bucks was waive off!!!

it was super super disappointed!!!!
 
Thats abit weird.. Coz my coordinator did check wif me if my vegetarians are STRICT or NON STRICT.. whether they take egg or garlic and stuff like that..
 
Terence is okay ( I think he used to be with Pan Pacific ) - Vegans dont take egg but otherwise egg stuff for the non strict vegetarians are okay.

Kriss was previously my co-ordinator too. I do agreed that he was not that attentive and service oriented. =(

I am glad that now mine is Terence.
 
hey folks, can anyone enlighten me when is the coordinator supposed to contact us? My AD is less than 3 months away but I haven't heard from Terence yet (other than requesting to collect my invitation cards earlier in June)
 
Chimes, I think if your coordinator slip his mind to call u. You also can give him a ring. Less than 3months can start 2 confirm theme, wedding favour le. Act fast ma some wedding favours always go out of stock de.

Its better to be early than sorry.

Confirmation of tables guess its abt 1 month/1 week from AD. Do check with your coordinator ah.

Hi Denril, really?? Any ideas what is the new theme? Mine wedding will be next Oct.. Still far but still very excited to know there's reno in the Venus ballroom, new theme and etc..
 
hi chimes, I contacted my coordinator to view the favours. Their latest ones will be the hp holder and the glass coasters (of chinese couple). I have not arranged for food tasting though.

Hi Raine, no idea what's the new theme.. I went to Venus ballroom when I went down to FRF. Changed the wallpaper. also added mirrors in the recep area.

I saw it during a wedding show in Carlton hotel.. Look real cute and nice.
 
Hi guys, understand that the coordinators do not work on wkends. Any idea if we will to go down to the hotel on wkend, anybody to bring us ard to view the ballrooms?
 
Tiramisu, You can arrange with your coordinator & u can pop by to view the ballroom on your on. Last time I also like that.. roam ard then I met Jason who can also assist with some enquiries abt the Ballroom. But abt the contract thing & what perks have 2 talk 2 ur coordinator le..

mine weddin is on e 3rd oct, Terene called me on Fri to ask me for food tasting, he is a nice guy after all...guess fear not, he will nt forget about you, they are experienced co-ordinator, they jus feel that is too early to have all favors selected and themes done, guess they wanted couples to have e lastest theme & wedding favous

sorry folks, no photos. The glass coasters are two in a pack. The hp holder is those rubbery material.. both are chinese couple character.

they hv other wedding favours like photoframe and even nicely crafted candles..i tink if i m nt chinese, i will use the candles also.

My wedding is in Jan, I think I am going to put in my request for the number of invite cards needed in the next 2 weeks..however need advice on what else there is that needs to be done with Furama. Choosing of theme and wedding favours normally done when? And also choice of menu and food tasting? What else is there?

I am alittle panicky now because my husband has been posted overseas and he will only be back in Dec..so now trying to figure out when are the crucial period that I would need him to be back to quickly settle all outstanding issues..thanks in advance for your advice...

Did some reading of the past post..seem like alot of people book OCT 2009..mine is 02 Oct at Venue (does it happen to be anyone choice, was choosen by shi fu)...

My coordinator is Halim, till now he seem nice..will update your again after my actual day to speak his worth..

I will strongly suggest if you are booking 2009...dont wait for the show..approach Halim and see what offer he can provide..if not to your standard then wait till fair...

Lastly does anyone have to renovated Venus ballroom picture..or if anyone going to the fair..please take some pictures and let me steal a look..as i might not be going..unless Halim giving me free entry..haha =) Cheers!

You so fast collecting your invites le ah? Im not sure when to collect mine beta..... still tinking of collecting it in Nov man.. Why you need to print so fast?

I think what you have mentioned is ok already. Just the testing of their sound system there needs some prep as the prev Brides did mention that they do not accept MP3 right? Maybe you wanna consider bringing your own lappy there? You know & trial play it a few weeks b4 your AD.

Wow your HB posted overseas wor... must b stress on you le right??

Before the dinner start or during the dinner?
I wanna to have my solemnisation on my actual day too but some ppl said it will be too rush, no time for it. How long does the whole process take?

I attended my fren ROM, ard 15 mins only hehe...
i also decided to have solemnisation directly b4 dinner...planning 8pm, so latest banquet will start by 8.30pm...

I agreed with Bride09. Solenmization very short de... U can do it afetr ur first march in before the cake cutting ceremony... In fact 15mins is consider quite long le... hehehe...

Mine will also be on the same day with this arrangement...
