Stnov, Im not sure if they replaced the crystal centerpieces with smaller ones cuz they just told us that they are going to remove them after wedding show.

Hi all,

Been to the wedding show too and felt its quite a waste of time.. cos not much things to view.. The lucky draw dragged and dragged.. a bit sleepy in the end..and very cold..

Was expecting to see more.. but in the end, was quite disappointed.. I guess dun expect much..

Other coordinators, Im not sure.. but I think Albert was fine... Well, in the end, we all just hope the AD will be done nicely and all goes smoothly... thats all I hope for..

according to the f&b mgr when i'm in the mecury room, he say the couple pay more for the chair w sash.. $800 more for the mix theme.. (garden + crystal theme). me tink the ballroom is quite nice decor.. specially when come out from lift, guests don't haf to turn here and there to look for ur ballroom...

hello all,

yah, Nicole you are right. The coordinator in charged told us that the couple paid more for the extra sash for all the seats. Also, there will be no flowers for all the tables except the VIP tables.

Did the sales manager show you the photos of the crystal theme? The actual decor crystal theme and the crystal theme that we saw in mercury is different. The actual decor crystal theme looks ugly whereas the one that is displayed in the mercury on saturday is beautiful!

Yah i also feel that the whole event was a bit unorganise. I didn't know that we can see the bridal suite.

Hi sweetlady,

I will be having a few tables for vegetarians. There will be no extra charge per table unless they are seated at different tables, e.g. only one or two vegetarians in a table. Then you will have to pay for the vegetarian based on per head basis ($$ per table divide by 10 persons).

So try to arrange them seated together in a few tables if possible.

i think the additional sash and the addition of crystal pieces is $800. Those who are interested can also check out with ur co-ordinator.

I too never get to see the Bridal suite. But i quite like the set up at Mecury except the colour.

Yups, i'm using Mercury Ballroom. But i didn't pay extra for the decor setup. Cos that time Albert merely gave me three options to choose for the decor setup. Crystal candlelight or the red flower arrangement or combination of both. I chose the later one :p

Yups, i went for final fitting last Fri. The wedding gown still need abit of alteration and they altered for u on the spot. After the alteration, its ok already.

Eric will also lend me the ring pillow on my wedding day during my solemnization. Last Fri we requested Ann to show us the ring pillow first. When she showed it to us, it took me a while to realise that its a ring pillow. Its just a round white plain cushion sewed with some white lace around it, really CMI. Luckily we requested to view it first. Now i'm in a fix, to buy a presentable one outside or to use their CMI ring pillow.

Ann let me chose the comestic jewerellies sets to match along with my wedding and evening evening. So far, none of them looked nice. But then no choice, i still got to choose two sets to match with my wedding and evening gown.

hey lavendery....u muz b real excited wif ur AD drawing so so near....

d prob wif them is they dun realise they need lots of improvements in their stuff....lucky thing is she will show to you 1st cos alot of things she simply say quite std one.....one suggestion to cut cost will be to bring ur own bears for deco purposes on their cmi ring pillow....

for accessories....would have thot u could use MUA's accessories......check wif ur MUA if she has any then.....for beta &amp; more options.....u chose ur bridal bouquet oreadi....any topup required???

ladies.. i'm confused by the two setups during the wedding show help~
the one outside the venus is the latest setup? What's the name for the setup.

the one in mercury seems like a mixture of garden + crystal, but additional $800??

When i first signed up with French Bridal, I wasn't sure if i wanted the customary. So i told them i only wanted the photography which is indoor and outdoor shots. I paid $1800 for my package. However, i had forgotten the details of my package coz i signed in the beginning of the year.

The best part about me was I have not even seen their gowns. I saw the pictures and i kinda like it. And i was thinking since i am not gonna have the customary, it doesn't really matter to me whether the gown looks new or old.

Right now, I am thinking whether i should rent the gown from some other places and get my own photographer and MUA .I know i will not save $$ at all if i do that. That's why i m deliberating now.

denril: I forgot the name of the setup outside Venus ballroom. But it's done by Ronce Envy. The theme in the Mercury ball room is Garden theme. The additional $800 is for the golden sash around individual guest's chair &amp; the crytal pieces. The rose "balls" deco is part of the garden theme still. Coz i like idea of the sash, look more class but upon knowing the price thought thatit's no point. =p

tesoro.....do a comparison then....compare quotes for a-la carte vs french pkg &amp; see which might b more worthwhile....then again it largely depends on individual's expectation &amp; not all d time it voices down to price factor alone....

And I got a question regarding custom. Have you ever heard of the tradition that guy's side gotta send invitation card to parents of the gal's side to "invite" them to the wedding?

Cos my hubby says my MIL mentioned this, but scared that my mum may take it the other way and feels that they treat my parents as "outsiders".

Initially we weren't aware that we can view the bridal suite too, but when we went to the lift area outside Jupiter Ballroo, we saw the signage that says bridal suite on level 13, so we went up to take a look.

Hi all, seems like no one else has taken Jupiter? Anyone with past experience? I am really worried now, as I have no idea what it will turn out like, although Albert say he can give me my dream wedding. I won't ask for a miracle, but at least something nice.

My first choice was Mercury room, but too bad it is taken on that day. No choice but to settle for Jupiter. Really need some advise, and if possible pics to view? Anyone? Please... Thanks...

Probably be going down in March 08 to pick the gowns.. still long way to go.. but getting so excited.. and hope to get more advice..

When will you two be going down? Sounds like a good idea to catch up and share experience since we are both taking the same hotel and bridal shop.

seems that need to top up some $$ for some theme .. guess I will go for simple ones.. just hope that day be smooth and fine..

Wow the thread is moving really fast man... 2 days never come in so many things liao! Haha

I missed the Bridal Suite too... Their planning is really poor man... I never see the Programme List and was digging for 1. Then it was a boring show as well... nothing much 1... Then so cold.. OMG...

But saw the setup @ Mercury that day.. nothing really special. My coordinator say like the whole place is so special so extraordinary like tt.. haha... to me it seems ok la.. I prefer their normal Crystal setup. The whole place looks "cleaner" &amp; brighter too... $800 for that deco is not really worth it ah...

I thought free flow of beer and soft drink is a standard package?
BTW, did anyone manage to get waiver for wine? I totally forgot to ask about the corkage charges.
And are duty-free liqour allowed????

im feel cheated now cos i wasnt given all these despite signing up the package during the wedding show!
