I feel so ... but for things that are inhouse they are more flexible, whereas things like additional bottles of wines, etc they are more strict.

The bridal suit is quite big n comfortable keke...i had my wedding there on march 2008.
My coordinator is also Stephanie. She a very nice friendly person & did everything that i requested. Eg, make special arrangement for my march in reharsal, solomisation.

The foyer is a excellent place to hold ur guest, nice & big enuff for every 1 comfort.Frankly me and my wife are thankful to hv a chance to held our wedding there & din manage to make any lost keke..

Maybe u can consider, their serivce is excellent to me esp Stephanie as she is always happy to answer to all ur needs. All the best to ur booking of hotel & perpration to ur wedding

my AD will be on 3rd Oct 09. Now still deciding between Furama and Rasa..So basically i will be in these 2 treads trying to dig for more info.. =p

Catty, regarding lvl 4, from what i heard from stephanie is that there will not be any more function rooms besides the grand ballroom at lvl 5. the function rooms at lvl 4 will be converted to guest rooms and it will be ready in time for the F1 race.

I intend to hold my solemnization before my dinner but i dont know how to go about doing it.. unable to get extra room from stephanie for my solemnization and unable to do it in the ballroom before the dinner because she told me they need time to " turn over" the room in case there is a function going on in the afternoon

I suggested bridal suite..but she dont seem very keen and suggest it is not very do-able..

any suggestions?

poseidon_gal (poseidon_gal),

I understand why its not advisable to held in the bridal Suit. As far as i experiance, the suit itself is not quite suitable for the solomisation.

Reason :

1) from the doorwalk way to ur mini kitchen(i so-call) is 1 long narrow path which maybe 3 normalsize person can go thru at the same time. so its not very advisable to put the solomisation table there.

2)after the long small path, it will lead u to the bedroom & the bathroom. There where the onli place whereby a small table can be place there for solomisation. The Bed is very BIG,there the space around maybe limit if such an important event is to held there ( from my humble view)

Thus, i suggest u may wan to consider the foyer as an option for ur solomisation.

Reason :

1) it is big enuff to hold ur guest
2) The place is quite presentable.
3) its just next to ur Ballroom ( much easier )
(u can entertain ur guest straight after ur solomisation)

As for the time Stephanie mention she need to turn over. Its pretty much the same on my wedding day(only my Emccees & AV personel went in to test the mike & Av system). So i din hv time for any reharsal on the AD.

The only chance u hv is when on the AD there is no event held b4 ur wedding dinner. IF not, surely they need the time to turn over the tables

Best Wishes to you...

In Additional, I feel that Furama City Centre is quite accessible to all the guests.1stly For those who are driving, traffic is smooth the area does not JAM ( esp weekends) , car parks are available next building if the hotels parking lots are not sufficent.

2ndly, for those who does not drive, Chinatown MRT station is just round the corner . So its very accessible for all ur guest

My guest all arrived early on that day & i start my dinner at 8.15pm keke ( normally if u notice, s'poreans are always late attending 4 funtion haha..)

Its all my Humble View for ur reference...

poseidon_gal,

Just a little comment, I also think that you can hold it at the foyer.. have you gone down to take a look at the place? cos the foyer is pretty big...

besides, if I didn't remember wrongly, one corner of the foyer has got sofa where it used to be a "smoking corner" for the guest... you can consider maybe put up a little deco there and setup that area for your solemnisation... its quite "secluded"...

alternatively, i wonder if you can do it at the "helper" room... cos one of the perks is a free helper room.. if you do not have too much guest attending the solemnization, that will be an alternative too? I didn't visit the helper room, so this is just a guess from me...

hope that helps...

I had my Solemnisation over there last weekend. The food was great! My guests was very pleasant with the layout and services.

Arther was the captain for my Solemnisation. Did it at the Hertiage Bar. Their setup was great too.

I booked a room with them during my Solemnisation Ceremony. They actually upgrad me to the club executive room.. It was big and I could see the beautiful sencery of Singapore Flyer from my room. Was very romantic..

Have yet to decide my wedding dinner with them.

Thumb up with their services and food.

Newbrides168 > Thanks for informing that the food and services are good. In fact I am considering FCC for banquet next year as well, however pretty uncertain about the place as I don't recall attending any wedding dinner there before. Nevertheless, I have already arranged for a site visit with Stephanie, hope to have a good feel after the visit :p

Congrats to you

Hi SS

Thanks!
Stephanie is a good co-ordinator..
Furama city centre looks a little old for their hotel. But I guess their ballrooms should look good. They having renovation now.

Do keep us update after you see the ballroom

now we are just considering how/where we should hold our Solemnisation before the dinner as when we highlight to Stephanie, the reasons she gave were as mentioned by poseidon_gal...since there are some suggestions by keitsu, I might discuss with Stephanie again :p

HI SS

Is your Solemnisation the same date as AD? Maybe you can use their Hertiage Lounge for your ROM. I did it there before.
But make sure to ask them to brighten up the lights. Otherwise the photograph will be too dim.

Newbrides168 > Yes, decided to have it on AD before the banquet, probably about 6.30pm.

I can make suggestion to the Stephanie and see if she is ok about the Hertiage Lounge, did you book the area or the setup is complimentary? Is it spacious, can accomodate how many people?

Hi SS

The Hertiage Lounge is quite spacious. I can accomdomate 60pax. Guess you will not have any food during that session.

I have attached a photo for my ROM setup at Hertiage Lounge.

Or maybe you can use the ballroom for your Solemnisation if she do not agree. Coz I think around that timing, should have ppl hanging around for a drink

Thanks for the pic, oh, this setup is very ideal & nice yah...but i do not know of other concerns cos stephanie mentioned she is able to provide me with a room, but i cant recall which room she mentioned...however she cannot gurantee that it will be available as if there happen to have events going on, then it will not be possible...mayb she is talking abt this room?

I think maybe she is referring to this room. coz I rem after my ROM, they have another event at 6pm. But the good point is that they will not rush us.

I'll be meeting Stephanie this weekend. Can I know what are the additional perks that I can bargain for ie additional bottles of wine?

Thanks.

i met with stephanie today....she's very nice & friendly....i was there with my parents and we had the meeting at the lounge near the lobby....offered us coffee and free parking coupon cos my dad's driving..hehe......

she went thru with me the wedding dinner package and accompanied us to the bridal suite and the ballroom....

the bridal suite looks so great!!!! and the ballroom is so spacious too!! pillarless somemore...... =)

but my problem is that i am unable to fulfil their min 30 tables for the dinner....... i asked her what can be done if i reli cant get 30 tables...she say, maybe we cannot get the "privileges" that's offered in the package...

another thing is, our desired date is already taken...but it's available for wedding lunch....initially, i wasnt in favour of wedding lunch when my hubby mentioned it becos i feel it will be very rush...... then stephanie said that timing can be arranged becos some relatives can go direct to the hotel and have the tea ceremony @ the bridal suite...... and this reli got me interested and in favour of wedding lunch......

gotta tell me hubby 1st before we decide since he's away for business trip......

nonetheless, stephanie is pretty good...can look for her if you are interested with FCC.....

cheers!

Does anyone have photos of the foyer? Because I intend to hold both solemnization and banquet on the same day. To me Solemnization is impt and must be done in an extremely nice decor place. I am considering FCC. Anyone have an idea of the quality of food for dinner? [email protected]

i did not sign up at FCC in the end.. after knowing that the carpark lots are not enough for my guests.. i will be having 40 tables.. it is a concern for my SO's side..
the package they offered is not very good as well.. we tried to ask for a wine per table since we are having a lot of tables.. the coordinator replied with a firm no.. i have to use the choices..

whoami_ting

they have about 120 lots for the whole hotel which mean including the tenants as well as the hotel guests.. if 1 table got 3 cars then 40 tables will be 120 lots.. which is impossible so i give up.. it depend on how u think about it.. the coordinator suggested to park at nearby complex.. i will prefer my guests to park in same building.. and the VIP lot is not guaranteed or nearby lobby..
