friend attend funeral, can he still help me out?

hi all ... im having my solemnisation this saturday, and one of my friend who is helping me out throughout the solemnise, his grandfather happened to passed away last monday. according to him, his family is the one who host the funeral. can i check is he able to help me out still. its a small outdoor solemnisation, my ad will be in 2016.. does it really matters?

Depends on to what extent you and your fiancé and both your families believe in "forbidden" matters such as these. If everyone's ok with your friend helping then there shouldn't be an issue. If you and your fiancé are ok but feel that your parents may not be happy, then you two need to discuss whether it's better to talk to your parents first or to just keep the funeral under wraps so they won't know and won't pick on that though there's always a risk that they may find out later. As for the friend who's helping you, you may also wanna check with him of it's acceptable to him and his family if he helps you out coz no point if your families are ok with it but his isn't. On another note, congrats in advance on ROMing this Saturday!

Not sure what role this friend of @ryan1314linda is supposed to play during their solemnization but sometimes if the role is a major one which involves a lot of prep work and isn't easy to find a substitute at last-minute notice or if this person's role is of a personal significance, then it is not uncommon for the couple to want to still check if this helper can still help out during the wedding...

yup.. this helper actually is going to help me quite alot, coordinating all the things. so yeap. anyway , thanks for yur advice appreciate .

You're welcome.. I suspected just as much that he is one of the main coordinators before you told me.. Hope everything's gets sorted out well..
