Hi cutiephinphin, thanks for info. You are printing directly on the card? You chose the single side card? My AD is 31 Dec. I'm not in Singapore right now and I don't have any pics of the themes etc. Sure hope to see more pics too!

Yes, I will have to pay extra for the Windows East/West room. I haven't paid a deposit yet as my coordinator said if I want to book now, it will cost me 3k. But he's willing to reserve it for me and if nobody books the room 1 mth prior to my AD, he will let me have it for 1.5K. No flowers will be provided but he said that I can just use the flower stands etc (from the ballroom).

the reason you're taking the window east is coz the ambience etc and the whole area is beautiful? I'm not seen the place actually. Only walked to the bridal suite, the lobby and the crescent ballroom :P

I was very tempted to use another venue for my solemnization but decided against it and will just be using the private foyer of the ballroom. Hope you don't mind my inquisitiveness :D

Yes i took the single sided card as I will only be printing in english. But now i'm wondering if it'll be too bare on the other side and what I can do to it.

if i'm not mistaken it's 3 types. Not very sure as I knew straight that was what I wanted when i saw that card. So I didn't bother to look at the others. So can't help you there.

I actually wanted to take some samples so that I can show it to the printer but lewis said i could take them already if i wanted to. So might as well and spare me another trip down

hi all, can chk when do we need to cfm our themes and wedding invites and no of tables and all arh? and food tasting isit one month prior to the wedding date or? cos my AD is in jan09, then i like no idea wat to prepare or do le leh.. nw only busy doing my gown selection and PS next month.. wat shall we prepare and all arh? tks..
 
Cutiephinphin, no worries re asking abt solemnisation! Anyway, depends on how many people you are inviting? If the foyer is big enough, then can save money! I think the Windows East/West room is quite nice! It's on 20th floor with full glass windows so you can have a good view of the city etc. I think you should be able to see pics of the room (with table setting) on the Four Seasons website.When is your AD? I think it's fine if you just print on one side! Are you having separate invites for solemnisation?

Jac, yes I have confirmed the ballroom. There are 3 types of invites: (a) single sided, (b) red with the xi word in front and (c) cream/off white with the words "our wedding" in front. My coordinator passed me samples of invites together with the contract I signed...

Iam, you have a copy of the contract you signed right? I think right at the back there should be a schedule of sorts which should give you a rough idea of the timing involved!

Wow sounds nice. Mine is opp number. 13 Dec. I know the main ballroom will also be taken on that day so for a min i wondered if it might be you.

Well my solemnization will just be a small & private one with friends & relatives. So I was thinking to prob DIY the solemnization invite to those ppl i'll be inviting on the other side of the card. The rest of the cards will prob hv some 'deco' of some sort which I hv no idea yet :P

Im going down to meet Lewis later!! Maybe from there we would be able to make a decision whether to have solemnization at east/west windows or at the foyer for convenience. I really love the view at 20th floor but im afraid of the hassle.

For those who had gone for food tasting, how's the food? I heard it was very nice. I wonder if they had mantain their standard?

Lewis is great! He is very professional and now i understand why everyone is so confident with FS and the service they can provide.

Cutiephinphin, I went to the 20th floor too. The view is great. It can fit in up to 6 round tables or 90pax for standing buffet. Rental is 2K so its more worthwhile to buy their meal pkg. For high-tea 2-5pm if $65++/pax min 30pax and reantal is waived. This is a great place to hold solemnization if you dinner is on a separate day.

Shiner, I saw from your post that you manage to get waiver of corkage for hard liqour? Other FS brides with Lewis, do you all manage to get that too? Pls advise. Cause Lewis mentioned it will be $80 per bottle which is really expensive.
 
Hi dreammy,

We won't be bringing in that many bottles of hard liquor. We're intending to purchase wine from FS. So, our co-oridnator says he won't mind waiving off 1 or 2 bottles of hard liquor if we are bringing that amount in.

hi all, cn i chk does they allow to let us play our own march in music and own music for the entire night? or must we use their own music? the contract states tt they wil play instru music for the entire night, abt march in also?

Finally i found the correct thread for reviews on FS... hee...

I have actually book my ROM package with them on this 21 Oct 08 at Level 20, window east for buffet dinner... I'm actually also thinking to book them for my AD next Oct 09... but seems that they did not throw in much freebies... they did not give special rates for my room... :p

Can anyone of u let me know if there are any additional things that they can throw in, other then extra parking coupons & invitation cards.

My co-ordinator is also Elaine... Lewis is better??

I've checked with my co-ord regarding the CD...for the songs to be played throughout reception, can burn Cd but for march-ins, has to be original CD. Hope this helps

hi jac, tks! i have a hard time looking for original CD of wedding songs leh.. anyone used their march in songs and thru-out songs? cos dun knw wat songs they playing one leh.. must be classical types..

anyway, i will be going down the ballroom this sat if possible to see the colour themes and all so i can decide on which theme to follow and choose my gown.. whose wedding is that? congrats ya!
 
Hi peeps, especially lam, my coordinator emailed me this for their theme to mix & match:

In terms of table linen, we have:-
- Black Tablecloth
- Ivory Tablecloth
- Gold Organza table overlay
- Maroon tablecloth
- Deep Maroon tablecloth (which is very similar to black)
- Rustic Gold tablecloth (similar to bronze)

For napkins, we have:-
- Creme
- White
- Black

For seatcovers, we have:-
- White
- Black
- Gold

However, please take note i only have 5 tables, so if you have more tables maybe not all colors are applicable. I'm not too sure Rustic gold and gold organza is what difference (can lam please please help me see see how gold is the 2 different linens), also whether creme vs white napkins makes a difference.

hihi.. ermm, i went dwn to see le, the gold which i saw is rustic gold i think, the covers has a small ribbon on ot.. abt the organza gold dint get to see it.. from wat i saw, all the stage decor seems the same leh, gold drape and all... maybe they dun have any different style? and the flowers i see, isit all roses? think cn choose one right? must discuss with my cord ba..

With regards to your question of gold overlay and rustic gold, I went down to Four Seasons last Fri and happened to take pics of VIP table (gold overlay on ivory linen) and guest table (rustic gold - my coordinator called it sand gold). Basically the gold overlay is like organza which you will put over a base colour. Please see photos for your reference. (Photos are of lousy quality as I took them with my blackberry & handphone.)

hi all
for those of you who have held ur ADs at FS, did you broke even? what was the average amt of ang pao u received?
i really love FS and looking forward to confirm the contract however family members are worried that its too exp and might incur a big lose.
 
redrubberslippers~ I've my wedding last year but then as the GST amount + other charges are different so im not too sure how much is FS chargin now but based on experience..there's really generous relatives ang pow $1k and the extreme one $8!!! average they mostly gave $75 each so for me i had to cough out about a few hundred $ more..hope this helps..
 


anybody noe when will 4 season have promo / wedding show for their dinner?

looking at end of 2009 date.

btw is it troublesome for guest to go to 4 season? it is not exactly near to MRT, still must walk wor
