Four Seasons Hotel


Hi All i am thinking of signing up for FS after viewing the crescent ballroom. But the thing is FS does not throw in much perk and further more no red carpet and dry ice effect for march in wor....it seems like alot of things not included inside....nw dunno to sign up anot...

future mrs ong> You are right, FS does not throw in perks and whats important is whether you love the place? Cuz both my fiance and myself loved the place even though we visited alot of other places as well.

Going for food tasting early of Aug .. Hope things go smoothly..

A bit early.. but at least no rush over every single items..

Me a bit kiasu.. do up most of the things coz i don't like last min rushing into it. Stress ler ..

What about u ? Your BS ?
 
shaling > I haven't decided on BS yet, only the venue is confirmed. Trying to work on a deadline, hopefully. So I can strike 1 thing off my list. I will not be doing any pre-wedding so lesser to think about..
 
hey shaling, care to share how much is Di Gio package? my WTB is considering that, heard that it's not very cheap...
 
pebz >Go for major and importnt items .. such as venue, bridal, PG, VG, make up artist for both mother or emcee and etc ..

Once u get it done, ur life will be easier..

kiat > I find the Di Gio okay.. coz some bridal is relatively cheap at initial..later they will have something pop up for u to top up.

Experience 1: The gown is exclusive, must top up $xxx then can get it .. by topping up $xxx, already 1k gone.

Experience 2: Bring u to many out door places for photo shoot .. when come to selection .. hehehe .. u can't bear to let go all that.

For Di Gio .. u can chose any gown from the rack, they never hide any gown away.. so far my co-dinator very good .. I have 2 days for gown selection..

If u keen, i email u my agreement .. how ?

food tasting needs to be 1-2 months before AD?

my AD is 5/12/09 and was considering if food tasting in Nov be too late..
 
wildwood > No right and wrong asnwer.. just want to get it done.. coz when nearer to the date, we have more errand to run.. finding time might be an issue b then.

If according to hotel schedule, they will invite u 2 months before for food tasting, 1 month before for theme selection.. Invite anytime as long as u commit the number of table.

Love the cosy romantic atmosphere of the ballroom although the package is kind of expensive esp the wine

Went to see many hotels and have finally shortlisted to Conrad and Four Season...

Would like to know more about Four Season.. would any kind soul out there share with us their experience?

Also..am looking the package.. looks like they dun provide pre-dinner cocktail?

Looks like they only provide 20% of confirm guest list.. (kinda little)Do u think it's possible for them to increase that?

Hmm..they also didn't mention on usage of projector.. do we need to pay to use the projector?

Also, how many theme's are there?

pre-cocktail is in lei... definitely have one...

yup, u need to pay for the projector... otherwise u can get it from outside or from ur office...

who is ur co-ordinator?

They don't provide projector, u have to source your own or they can source for you but at extra charges

There is pre-dinner drinks but all alcohol is payable (either u buy from them or have to pay corkage).

Think for themes they have about 6 different colours for napkins/table cloth...for flowers, 3 different choices: gerberas, roses and local orchids
 
They projector very expensive ler .. $450 per projector.. I get both with installation only $300..

Maybe not going serve alchohol during cocktail, wait bill come, auto become drunk also. haha..

I like the black and gold theme.. wow..

now, the last thing to worry is the capacity...
right now my guest list is exactly 32table... am afraid my in-laws will have 'EXTRA' guest during last minute.. while the max for FS Ballroom is only 32tables..@_@"

Conrad can accomodate 34 tables..
Goodwood can accomodate 35table..

FS or Goodwood or conrad, FS or Goodwood or conrad.. arg... >_<"

Ohya, one more question... do you think their stage can be shifted to the extreme left side ..coz i think the current setting (stage in middle) makes the march-in really short... really hope can shift to side... so can form a longer march-in..

Shaling, so is ur stage in the middle of the ballroom?

wildwood > Not the size but rather is ansi lumens. Kinds of sharpness and resolution.

sw > FS stage is movable.. i went up one of the day to check on the setting, i saw the stage at left side. Not only the direction, the stag also have sizes..
 
Amendment over the pricing of projector, now is $400 instead, reasons;

I have requested the supplier to find 2 pcs of projector of 3,000 ANSI LUMENS instead of 2,000 and 3,000 each.

Coz advised by FS, 3,000 ANSI LUMENS can have better image compare with 2,000. and if i use 2 different specs during the banquet, we can tell easily about the image quality.

sw: Actually my WTB prefer Conrad while I prefer FS. i dun mind Conrad though. However, we can't meet the minimum tables for Conrad. Conrad is nice though, different type of feel altogether.
 
in the current contract, their house wine at the moment is 45bucks per bottle, but corkage is at 50bucks per bottle...
it's to get u to buy the wine from them

my coordinator says that the prices may go up for 2010 but if u sign before the price goes up then they will honour the price u signed at

Contact Elain from FS today to make appt ..
She mentioned that the max tables i can have (if i shift the stage to the extreme left) is 30tables.. *scratch head..

the problem is..rite now.we have 300ppl on our list.. but am afraid my MIL will hv extra on last minute.. coz not confirm..
 
sw: then it's advisable not to get FS... cos they can't squeeze in more tables if u need more nearer to your date... too risky... unless you are willing to sacrifice some ppl off your list..

yup i would also say consider marriott or goodwood if u are going to exceed 30 tables

marriott has nice food! and the decor is very nice too...but too large for my number of tables

Am goin to the wedding workshop held by Marriot today.. the package they are promoting is really tempting..

M (blue_milk), so the food at marriot's really good? am hesitating coz not sure whether the food is good.. ^O^" what i know is GWP definately got good food ..
 
Yup, the food at marriot is good! Wan hao is the chinese restaurant catering, and they are quite a famous restaurant.

The foyer of the Marriot ballroom is also nicer than GWP, hope u had fun at the wedding workshop!
 
u will love the ballroom! it's why we chose 4S in the end... it's so cosy and elegant. And the foyer outside is private and cosy too!

the food there is also good!
