Four Seasons Hotel

Hi J,

Are the packages/costing comparable?

Haven't been to Amara Sanctuary before but I was at Four Seasons and it was almost my choice hotel because I love the ambience (warm and grand), setting and well-trained/friendly staff. I chose Conrad in the end because they had the date I wanted and was slightly cheaper.

Believe Amara should be quite different from FS because it's at Sentosa so more of a beach kinda of feeling? Not sure but you might want to consider transport for your guests to Amara?

Oh yes, and I know for sure FS food is good!

Guess you might also want to prioritise your FH and your 'must haves'? Like for my FH and I, excellent food followed by a pillarless ballroom and glam setting were very important so I signed up with Conrad after testing out their food at the golden peony!

Cheers!

Actually... I'm the FH. Kinda shy surfing SG Brides...
Amara has a nicer feel actually more resort like. More relaxing but the planners don't seem to be very good from what I gather on the Amara Sanctuary thread.

My Fiance doesn't really like FS cause its abit too warm for her tastes. I don't like the concept of solemnization at the narrow alley way either. While Amara has the nice glass house for that purpose...

If we take Amara it'll probably be very hands on.

Hi J!

Ahhh....good to see a Husband-To-Be checking out on wedding stuff. Don't shy! It's a good sign!

So it looks like both your bride and you have already decided on Amara? Just worried that you have to spend abit more effort and time to make sure everything goes as expected?

I think just have to discuss and if both of you are prepared to put in the time/effort then go for Amara because it's a place you both like! Did the coordinator give you a good vibes? I think a good/efficient coordinator who listens to you is also quite impt.

The FS coordinator, Lewis gave us extremely good vibes and when I asked for a customised cupcake wedding cake, he even got their pastry chef to join us in the discussion! I was impressed and was so sad when I had to say no to Lewis! He made me feel like all I had to do was turn up at the wedding with my FH and everything will be taken care of.

My initial dream was a garden kind of wedding @ the Asian Civilization Museum but gave up the idea after going thru the costing and the amount of effort required and decided to have simple one (little effort from us) at Conrad. I know it's weird, I've decided on Conrad and still raving about FS on FS thread.

My Conrad coordinator is great! Just that Lewis was the 1st Coordinator we visited and he set the benchmark!

Cheers!

Your coordinator at Conrad is Sunsun? My friend's having his there, she's not bad I think.

I'm keen on Amara but sometimes don't have very good vibes... I might just settle on Solemnization @ the glass pavilion at Amara and banquet at four seasons...

My Conrad coordinator is Jeanie.

If you're having your solemnization on the same day, you might want to consider FS's pooside. Heard it's very pretty!

Anyway, my photos aint out yet, but if you want to view the Windows East Function room, you can go to FSH's website. It's close to the real thing; only better when you are there personally!!

Hi All,

I met Regina (the event manager) and I must say I'm 100% satisfied with the service! most prob will select four seasons for my wedding lunch next yr!

Yup Regina's pretty on the ball. Very impressed. Anyone managed to upgrade the suite? The Executive Suite that comes with the package seems kinda small...

hi june,

I booked dinner in May 2008 for AD in Dec 2009...

Hi ladies,

I am considering windows east& west too. However, the package doesnt seem as attractive as other places (comparing the same grade of hotel).

With the same price others offers more things like 1N stay suite, wedding cards, favours....

I am so confused now as to which to choose....After reading the thread, FS seems like quite firm in not throwing freebies...isnt it?

BTW any pics of actual day to share at windows east&west?? Thanks.

What are the themes we can choose from? *forgotten* :P

Candy,

As requested, some photos and also thanks for Ginny's help in sending the lovely photos of the Windows room:

Diane Ng THANKS!
Oh it looks lovely in the daytime! Though i visited in the day to view but since all the tables & chairs are absent cant really visualise how it will look.

I will holding it at night, i wonder if everything will be just black (looking out of the windows) hmm...as in no difference from a normal function room.

Candy, I do not know hw it look for the night. But from my experience when my bf took me to the 63th storey restaurant in UOB Plaza to celebrate, the view was better at night.
We went ard 6+pm so we get to view the daytime and the nighttime. I believe any thing as long as it is a high storey will of a nice view.

Diane Ng,

I agree if the timing is late afternoon to evening the light will be nice. But once it turns dark, then its almost black and i doubt the guests will be able to see the view since they wont be sitting close to the window.

I believe your view at UOB is nice because firstly its romantic time between you & your bf and i am sure you have a good seat and can enjoy the view.

Seriously, when during a buffet dinner, everyone will be busy eating & chatting, no cares about the view anymore

i dont even know if the people will walk to the patio.

Diane Ng : Sorry for late reply. Will be using the windows rooms for wedding lunch and tea ceremony. Banquet will be the Four Seasons ballroom..

Hi pebz,
