kiwi: tdragon will call alina to verify, so no worries
you will only confirmed the number of cards u want to print when you have decided

like me, i told them 168, so anytime before i ask them to go ahead to print, i can still -/+ the quantity
happy.gif

btw, i have not told alina that i visited tdragon nor told her that i've started "printing"
this will be the job of tdragon

likewise if you do not print from tdragon, just confirmed the number of cards you are being given
and inform tdragon (they will still call alina to verify one)

from what i am told, CP do not need to release any letter for u to bring along to collect the cards

yes correct, no letter to collect the cards
can just go down t-dragon, but then they are always so crowded.

collect something like 80% of your guests number. 80 or 90%? i cant remember.

if you need to buy more cards, the cards, comes with envelop too.

alternatively, you can just get the paper from them and do whatever you wish with it, like me! =)

i did up my own map for CP... too confusing la the one they provided...

i printed it on a name card size so guests can put it in their pocket/wallet/clutch when attending the wedding - so they can leave the nice invitation cards at home and not fold them into small little piece of rubbish, so unglam hahaha...

Attached is the map of CP bought at crowne plaza.

color will be in cream color, almost same color as the boarding pass color.
i folded it into half with the direction at the back of the map.

I heard that they are changing their menu in July.. I wonder if there's sharkfin in their revised menu. I like the ballroom but the location is a bit far.. I worried relatives will complain... Anyone of you encounter the same issue?

brandon2010

New Member
-> Peixuan, yes there will be some guests who will complain about the location but once you tell them how accessible it is, they will be alright.
as most ppl would not had attended a wedding there, can them it's new and you all planning to fly off for honeymoon after the stay there, keke.

Precious,Brandon,Krazimitzi,

Thanks for sharing.

Btw, anyone here has the pics of the actual setup of the summer theme? i need to confirm the flower color so that i can come out with my DIY theme.
Maybe Brandon can 'enlighten' me haha is it pink, cream & white?

krazimitzi

kiwi, you can change the colours of the flowers actually if you really need to. cuz i myself didn't like the mixture of those colours which didn't seem to blend very well, RP said can change but of course that will "incur additional costs" haha. cuz actually i wanted to get summer as i mine is a birdcage theme and the centrepiece for the guest tables are all birdcages! anyway but RP said since I dun like the blend, blissful with pure white flowers made more sense. which in the end turned out beautiful. good luck choosing!

Krazimitzi,

ok noted but i don't wana incur extra costs haha so i wonder most couples get what they see anot. i guess will be slight variation depends on the flowers available. btw, u used your choice of wedding favor rite? can share wats the price range of CP favors? oso thinking to change to something else if possible. tks

Hi,

Would like to check with those that held the wedding banquet during weekdays (Mon-Thu). Do you have any problem with guest attendance? Any complaints from guests? What time does the banquet start and end? Those are my major concerns now about holding the banquet during the weekdays at CP.

Thank you!

Hi Larissa,

We held our wedding @ CP in November 2010 on a Thursday. Initially we were very worried about the attendance turn out rate as well.

We had first targeted around 8pm to 815pm (regardless of the attendance) for the 1st march in, as we were also doing our solemnization ceremony on stage follow by the march in.

At around 810pm, our attendance was about 90% full, we started our march in followed by the solemnization. Everything was done by 840pm and the 1st dish was served thereafter. Everything was smooth and memorable thanks to the coordination done by all my brothers & sisters and of course CP hotel staff!

Glad to share our experience!

Hi all,

I'll be going down to have a meeting with the banquet managers soon.

If there are items in the package that we do not want, like the wedding cake and invitation cards, do you all think its possible to change some items from the menu instead?
Or is there anything else to suggest we ask for? :]

Is the invite not nice? Wedding cake can't get u anything but invites nt sure. Let me know the conclusion..

I'm not very sure about the invites too. But we have very specific ideas on how we want our invites to look. So we might source from others.
Just need to have a rough idea on what to ask for as replacement if there's things in the package that we dont need. :D

krazimitzi

New Member
hi P, yes u can replace the invites with other stuff. think about what you want to replace with and then suggest to them. if they can't give that particular item then think of the next best. for me i had negotiated exchanging the invites + guestbook for extra bottles of wine, as mine was a lunch and did not have any other alcohol like beer.

however, in the end i decided it was more worth it to buy cheaper wine from Giant supermarket and take the paper (that was to be used for the invites) from T-Dragon directly and made them into my wedding programmes on each guest's plate. so in other words i got FREE really really good quality paper which i otherwise would have to pay a bomb for. plus, you can get to choose from a few HUNDRED types of paper at T-Dragon, so it's quite a good deal. oh and for your convenience, they can cut to the exact size that you want already - saves a lot of DIY effort! ;P

Hi, personally i think max per table is 11 adults, but do remember to check with guests whether they bringing kids or baby along as need to prepare empty space for their pram or baby seat.

Any review on the soup? There's braised seafood soup with scallop, braised shredded abalone soup, doubled boiled fish maw soup with bamboo pith and shark cartilage broth. Thanks

I'm planning to have a wedding lunch in CP next year.. The only concern is the menu.. there's no shark fins, no abalone, no scallops, no sea cucumber..

Personally, we don mind the shark fins ( save the sharks!) but parents are thinking whether the guests will mind or complain that there's "nothing substantial" in the menu?

Any advices??
