missybrooklynn: Carlton's empress room (Level 2) cater up to 32/38 tables..i think
there is 4 pillars and is nt high ceiling lo..but is L- shaped long march in..
 
ya i was also thinking whether to have VG a not.. scare next time i regret then no more le..
what is the rough range that secret heaven is charging?
 
Booy, are you looking at using the new ballroom? how many pax have you got? if Carlton is increasing 2010 prices by 20%, then maybe fullerton is a better deal... since they got the uob promo this week

wow.. with the new extension, i m sure the package may be more expensive.. but didnt expect that it may go up by 20%..

my company have been holding company functions @ Fullerton.. somehow the service deterred and there were also some miscommunication by the coordinator.. in fact, a good coordinator does matter a lot.. and whether ur event will be a success..
 
i am taking bridal de couture..i dono by next yr nov, the new wing will be ready anot lo? anyway it doesnt matter to me la..coz i dun have alot of tables..the new wing caters more for big ballrooms..
 
amber> 20% increase? I have not heard of such a price hike.. I'm looking at the new ballroom.. Currently, I have around 30 tables.. Keeping it small.. Fullerton is too ex I think.. And I dun have enough tables..
 
Booy> ya that's what they told me is possible for 2010. Actually Fullerton if you take a smaller function room, don't work out to be too ex, coz they included the band, wine and room etc. But I really liked Carlton too la. for the food. so go for it.

Will be taking my ps in jan ....just went to choose my gowns for ps...gg dwn agn in dec to cfm...hehe...when u taking urs??
i will b taking my ps in spore instead of TW.
 
i took my photoshoot le.. took it in May just before my ROM.. took it as a holiday as well. there are nice locations in singapore as well.. i m currently sourcing for some venues to go during my AD!

i think carlton will look great after the new wing opens

upset that carlton going to increase their price by so much at such a bad time. sigh. seems like I might not be able to choose them for my AD.

Hi all,

I realised that Carlton has come out with a promotional package for 2009 (wkdays). I was so shocked to see that. My hubby and I have signed up for wkend package in 2009. When committing, we were expecting prices to increase becos of inflation. I guess this promotion package has been brought up to attract more couples in view of the recession ( i can understand from a biz perspective). While I am not affected now (yet), I empathize those who took up the wkday packages and has oleadi committed. I cannot imagine if Carlton also does the same thing for the 2009 wkend packages. Worried...

I realised that the screen for video montage is the portable type, is it too small for ur guests to see? Did u use 1/2 screen(s)? Thanks

from what i have seen on the link, yah i'm also not too sure if the promo package really only has what was stated on the advertisement..

cos it seems like it doesn't have the free flow of beer and no food tasting, etc..which i find they are quite impt to me..

anyway, oh carlton used to be one of my shortlisted venue for consideration..so i do come in once in a while to see some sharing by the carlton brides! hehehe..

the promo package is only for wkday.. and must hold the wedding dinner before 30 June 2009..

i tink they hv this promo is for those couple who are not particular abt date. those good dates would hv taken up by now already.

unless u hv booked the banquet and yet u r not particular abt ur AD date, then i tink u will feel the pinch. otherwise, i tink u shld be glad tat u manage to get the date you want.

one thing i dun like carlton hotel is tat their service is not very good... for 2 times which i emailed them... after they got back once to me, the sales manager totally gone and never replied my emails...
they offered to call back which they never call back at all...
i am still waiting for them to send me their package for 2009/2010 but they r too busy till they did not see my email request...
i am thinking, should i therefore engage the service of such person whom did not reply emails nor calls...

I wanted to hold my wedding on Nov 15 next yr too.. but they told us taken up... now kn by who =) anyway we're gng for 30 Oct 09..also one of the good dates for us to hold wedding...

any idea if they can help do other theme besides what they offer - red, white or gold?

i will also like to find out more about the portable screen. I intend to play my daily pictures before the start of the banquet.. will there be enough space when the portable screen is on the stage? or everytime, after the video is played, the banquet helpers will need to remove the portable screen away?

Yap had it a Wah Lok. I will not be having the dessert buffet. Coz think it will be rather 'messy' to have guests moving in and out. Plus my wedding is on a Fri, they might be eager to go home early rather than mingle around longer. I took the red bean soup as dessert.
 
my friend is a food critics and he is holding his AD in Carlton Apr 09...he is very happy coz he is waiting for this special day to come..hahah
 
Starry (ileyna) : haha okok initially i took 19/09/09 but my mum say not auspicious lo..so we chose 15/11/09..

i think most probably i will take the GOLD Theme..more glamour

Think same here. Althou my wedding is on a sat, i also think will be very messy. Later scared all the guest complain.. think will be gg for normal deserts too. U hv a wonderful wedding!!
