U can ask her to include a tea dress in ur package...so u can use that as ROM dress, after that u can use it during ur actual day as a tea dress. if not u can always go n buy a tea dress like lavender that shop at stamford house or any Yam, Yen dress as ROM & tea dress

Not too sure about that but you might wanna check both shops because there is a price difference in packages. Cantonment shop is more expensive.

I just signed up with Amanda Lee. I was really impressed with the level of service from Miah at Delphi. I went into the shop roughly knowing what I wanted and he was extremely accomodating and gave advice without trying to dictate the style. The package is a bit ex! $4200 for everything except photo. But I was won over. I hope the gowns turn out well!

Miah's a real darling, isn't he? Very accommodating and highly creative too. I can't wait to see my gown and especially the embroidery.
Cheryl - Amanda's shop (at Cantonment)'s packages cost a few hundred dollars more than the Delfi one. And yes, it includes all that.

su su - Miah's got a great can-do attitude and after I explained what kind of gowns I wanted (big and with loadsa embroidery), he sketched out something very close. if you like bold and not your run-of-the-mill embroidery & lace, it's definitely their forte.
Hi everyone. I will share with you my experience i had with AL on 7 April 2007. I went down to quite a few BS without any appointment that day and AL was my last destination. At first i found her quite cold but when we started chatting with her, she's really a nice lady. She told me she could only attend to me till the next couple came (she supposed to have an appointment with a couple when i walked in but did not turn up in the end). She introduced me to her package and showed and explained the WG and offered me two WG to try. She sketched 4 WG shortly and explained to us. The whole process was not a pushy one and we were won over by her service. She is a nice lady. I have not sign up with her though but we are quite impressed with her service and gowns. Her package costs $4,680. MTM WG (rent), MTM EG (purchase), MTM suits, hair and make up, deco for cars etc. Free rental of kua during PS and $100 more for AD.

Thanks brokenbudgie. I'm glad the gown's what you have in mind! Bcos I dont have a very clear idea of what I want, am afraid I may not like the end product cos I'm not descriptive enough of my tastes...Perhaps I should start looking at more bridal mags to get better idea...

Hey su su, what you can do is start a scrapbook of your favourite designs from bridal mags. It could be the general shape of the dress, or details such as lace, or buttons at the back or a particular neckline etc. Then when you visit a bridal shop you can discuss these details with them. I kept a file for wedding gowns and another one for cheongsams. Very useful!

Deli lambchop - it's fine to ask her to sketch. And yes, they're into coloured embroidery and lace. i also find that this way, the designs stand out a lot more in pictures.

I finally collected my gowns and completed my photoshoot. Miah did such a beautiful job with the detailing, embroidery and beadwork! I'm really happy with the cheongsam too...which has 3 types of lace and looked like a lot of work was put into it.

Hi Moopo i haven't gotten my pictures back yet.. I think apart from the price difference in packages between both Cantonment and Delfi shos where the former is around $400 more, Amanda (at Cantonment) does slightly more elaborate gowns.
I would advise a visit down to both shops to see the extent of their designs. It's worth it. Pictures seldom do full justice plus you can also try their gorgeous gowns.

Hi Moopo, my CS is my EG. I made another EG outside of my package from elsewhere. Making a CS is great - otherwise it's seldom you'll get to make a MTM one..!

Hey Moopo, yep I did take the MTM package and changed the evening gown to a CS. And yes, it's with Delfi. I visited both though to get a better feel of their style but as I'd first spoken with Miah, decided to go with him.
